Notes On The "Eternal Nothingness"

The following is a follow-up to the previous post entitled "Where's Your Proof?".

Re: the immortal microcosm and the mortal personality

We are emergency-order beings, temporary instrumentariums designed for a specific function and commissioned for a specific purpose: to begin the Great Work of liberating our microcosms from its imprisonment in the nature-of-death. If, after transition (the death of the physical body), a personality has not at least begun to walk the Path of Return, that personality will have failed in its purpose. It will move to the reflection-sphere where, over a period of several centuries, it will slowly disintegrate, leaving only an emptied microcosm.

Conversely, those personalities who pass on while walking The Path, who are engaged in building the New Soul Body prior to death, will not return to the reflection-sphere but will transition to the Vacuum of Shamballa, a region that allows those who have begun the Great Work while incarnate to follow the Process to its completion.

The microcosm itself does persist; it is immortal, it cannot 'die'. A microcosm that remains tied to the Wheel of Rebirth must always empty itself after the death of the in-dwelling personality and prepare itself to accept a new one.

The other option for the immortal microcosm is the one mentioned above, where the personality, during earth-life, begins the work that will eventually enable the re-unification of the Divine Spirit with a Reborn Soul, thereby restoring the immortal microcosm to its former Glory. In this scenario, after discarding the physical body, the microcosm, along with the remaining vehicles of the personality (etheric, astral and mental) will enter Shamballa where the Great Work will continue.

Finally, there are microcosms that become so damaged by thousands of incarnations wasted by indulgence in wickedness and error, that they must be completely erased, returned to the primordial essence (the proverbial "lake of fire"). The damage to such microcosms, the level of crystallization, has to be extreme in order for this to take place.

Re: "Eternal Nothingness"

This portion of the chapter was meant to illustrate the ignorance of earthly speculations. The authors did not mean to imply that it was a true statement. The full sentence reads:

"...In other words, our destination lies neither in the reflection-sphere, nor in the material-sphere, but in the 'Eternal Nothingness', as it is called by the dualistic world and all it aeons and entities".

In occult circles they speak of the Atmic (3rd plane) and Buddhic regions (4th plane) as the highest attainable. There are two more regions above those, the Anupadaka (2nd plane) and the Adi (1st plane) which most occult systems speak very little of. In all, there are seven of these planes. It is planes 1 and 2, the Adi and the Anupadaka, that the occultists refer to as "the Eternal Nothingness". Not because there is nothing there, but because they are unaware of what takes place beyond the 3rd, or Atmic Plane.

All seven of these planes are sub-divisions of the 7th Cosmic Domain, which is the lowest Cosmic Plane and represents the Cosmic Physical Plane. That means there are six more Cosmic Planes above this one, and each of those is sub-divided into seven sub-planes! There is a Cosmic Astral Plane, Cosmic Mental Plane, Cosmic Buddhic and Atmic Planes, etc. We know nothing of these Higher Cosmic Planes because we have not yet evolved the sense organs necessary for us to perceive them.

So, in truth, there is no "Eternal Nothingness". There are simply regions of the Cosmic Universe that are currently unknown to us, teeming with True Life, Glory and Wonder. This is what the transfigurist aspires to. It is his or her desire, his or her duty, to free his or her microcosm from the Wheel of Death-and-Rebirth, to extricate it from this Physical Plane so that it may resume (notice the word is "resume", not "begin") its Journey upwards, proceeding from Power to Power and from Glory to Glory.

"Where's Your Proof?"

[QUOTING]

The fourteenth chapter of the Tao Te Ching draws attention to a rather weak spot in the transfigurist's armour concerning his relationship with ordinary researchers. 'Where is that world-order of yours?', people ask, 'Where is the Immovable Kingdom? Show me one glimpse of it and I shall accept it and bear witness to it'.

This is an age-old question. You can read it in the Confessions of (Saint) Augustine, who asked it of the Manichean Brothers. Receiving no answer, he left their ranks, to which he had belonged as a preparatory pupil and went on to become one of the pillars and founders of the Roman Catholic Church. Augustine, who is also highly-regarded in protestant circles, was a failed pupil of the transfiguristic Spiritual School.

Entering the transfiguristic Spiritual School is an uncertain venture. Do we have anything concrete to offer you as a starting-point? Lao Tzu admits it openly: in terms of the reality of ordinary nature, no such starting-point exists. We, too, say that nothing concrete can be proven on the basis of that reality. If people speak to us about empirical research and scientific proof, we fall silent. For the existence of the Realm we want to enter, the Kingdom of Tao, can never be proved in those terms.

It would be very helpful if you were to impress this fact clearly on your mind. By all means, consider the possibility that we might be taking you for a ride. We would not blame you if you were to leave our ranks on those grounds, just like Augustine, who left the Manicheans and later wrote about how foolish they were to believe and affirm what they were never once able to prove, and what they could only explain in a very abstract, philosophical way. It would be good, very good, if you were able to understand these things. We cannot prove the essence and reality of Tao any more than the Manicheans could. In the eyes of many pupils we often read amazement and the unspoken question: 'How do you know the things you talk about? Why don't we know them? Give us something concrete to go by'.

Recently we were asked outright, 'Give me something tangible to go on. Does your information come from some book that I don't know about? What is it called? Where can I find it?' We replied that our teachings are never  drawn from books, although we often refer to world literature to illustrate the points we want to make. It was a vague answer; we were well aware of that. We said that one can only get to the bottom of things by following The Path. The enquirer became rather reserved. We could understand that. He was full of questions and disbelief. We doubt whether he will follow The Path.

It is much easier for the religious and occult groups of this nature. The reflection-sphere provides them with a rich source of proof, on which they can draw to provide 'evidence' of anything they like. The nature-aeons furnish those who try to maintain themselves in the reflection-sphere with everything they need to gain credence. There, Augustine was able to find plenty of what he wanted -- 'proof' of another kingdom -- like picking flowers in a meadow. There is certainly no shortage of reflection-sphere brotherhoods ready to help your I-being. You can meet such masters in any shape or form you wish. All tastes are catered for. They will be only too pleased to appear before you.

The majority of them are certainly not deceiving you on purpose. On the contrary, they possess much that is 'good' in the dualistic sense. They are trying to make this nature-order acceptable.  much effort they put into it, so much work. It is only that they are victims of circumstance, just like the others. They, too, have looked at Tao but not seen it; they, too, have listened but not heard, touched but not felt. Just like Augustine. How could they do anything but deny Its existence, just as he did? Could you be blamed if you denied it as well? Better a bird in the hand than ten in the bush. Countless reflection-sphere figures, all of them splendid, exemplary types, are offering you their 'other kingdom'  -- that exists, and whose existence can be proved. 'So there's no need to believe what those Taoists or modern transfigurists say. With us, you can come and see it for yourself. We can put you in touch with a whole host of accomplished adepts. We challenge you to produce any transfigurist adept who could compare with them, just one!'.

But there isn't one, not even one! We can only point to historical figures like Lao Tzu and many others from earlier or much later times. We can only say that these entities apparently did not die, because the microcosms with which they were connected cannot be found, either in the material-sphere or in the reflection-sphere.

'Well', say those who want to oppose or deny, 'isn't that proof enough that these entities never existed? Otherwise, surely all those distinguished adepts would know about them? So what you are saying must be pure fantasy'.

Yes, in dualistic terms, our case is weak in the extreme. Indeed, no words exist that could express the threefold enigma of Tao. That was true a hundred thousand years before our era and long before that. So let us not even try to define what cannot be defined: They blend together into one

Somewhere in his writings, Lao Tzu says that defining the word 'Tao' is like striking a blow at nothingness. 'Tao's above is not in the light; its below is not in the dark. So Tao is shadowless. Tao is eternal and cannot be defined by any name; it always returns to not-being, to an absolute silence. It is the image of the imageless and the form of the formless. It is an absolute mystery. Approach Tao and you do not see its beginning. Follow it and you do not see its end.

Are these words enough to satisfy the modern person of the twentieth (now twenty-first) century? You approach and you see nothing. You listen and you hear nothing. You touch and you feel nothing! So if you want to belong to this Spiritual School, you will have to make the choice on your own, and it will be your own responsibility. In brief, it is like this: we are making a pilgrimage, a carefully planned, methodical journey. We no longer want to die, and neither do we want to live; we no longer wish to be found, anywhere. In other words, our destination lies neither in the reflection-sphere, nor in the material-sphere, but in the 'Eternal Nothingness', as it is called by the dualistic world and all it aeons and entities.

Proof of the Gnosis? Proof of transfiguration? We have none. One either knows these things to be True from within, or one doesn't. As it is written,

'Those who have ears to hear, let them hear'.

Fill The Vase

[QUOTING]

Every human being stands at the center of a wheel. Every microcosm and every mortal soul stands at the center of an All-Manifestation. The sun sends its rays to you; all the heavenly bodies send their rays to you. So you are standing at the center of a wheel of fiery rays, and all of them are converging on you.

The wheel is the astral light that drives you. You are the hub of the wheel, because you are the focus on which the rays converge. Lao Tzu says there are thirty of them because thirty primary spokes or rays of the great fire-wheel are often alluded to in the Universal Doctrine. There are three major currents of astral fire, each of which contains a number of lines of force. These thirty rays do not originate from the visible universe, but from the invisible, the void, empty space. The astral fire is invisible.

These rays or channels gather together all the forces and possibilities present throughout the space of the fiery wheel and drive them towards the hub. The wheel rotates around the hub, and the hub carries the wagon, the existence. This existence has a certain purpose, which derives its use or uselessness from the empty space, from the source of energy. That energy-source determines the quality, capacity and potency of the phenomena made visible by it.

Having made this point, Lao Tzu  goes into more detail. He says: "Think of the vase". We have come to know this vase as the Holy Grail, the great Fountain of the Heart. In this Grail cup a principle lies hidden: the Rose of the Heart. But at the same time, the Grail cup represents the whole heart sanctuary, which has such an important role to play in the Grail process.

No one could deny that the heart sanctuary is kneaded from 'clay', from the substance of nature. It can only be of use to the pupil if he fills the empty space in the vase from the empty space of the Gnosis, if he fills the vase with the Living Water of the fiery wheel of salvation. And this, in turn, can only happen if the heart has been purified.

People are constantly trying to build, develop and equip their  dwellings -- their personalities -- in every possible way. They are constantly pre-occupied with the state of the windows and doors, which provide them with a view, and a way in and out. So now you need to ask yourself whether or not the doors and windows of the house you are building face in the direction of the empty space of the Gnosis. In which fire-wheel are you standing? The wheel in which you are standing determines what function you can fulfill. What kind of usefulness does your house offer: is it useful to the nature-of-death or to the Nature-of-Life?

You are the hub on which the thirty spokes converge; they are like thirty rivers, fed by countless streams from the empty space. But in which empty space are you standing?

You are standing in two spaces: the first is that of time and space; the second is that of Eternity, of Omnipresence. So, in an abstract sense, it is as if you can see two wheels of fire spinning 'round you. Towards which wheel do your windows face? Towards which fire do your doors open? Which wheel generated the plan you are following to build your house? Do you understand now that the real usefulness of what is depends on what is not? There is something you are not, and there is something you are, and what you are not you will have to become.

You are being something, you are manifesting something, throughout every second of your life. And what you manifest determines the immaterial sphere, the invisible space through which you live. So as soon as you look at the real results of your life, you will know which of the two fiery wheels revolving 'round you is the guiding factor in your life. The modern Spiritual School is the field in which you are taught to restore the Vase of the Heart, the Grail from which all things must arise, to its proper use, and to build the house of renewal in the right way.

From "There Is No Empty Space" - The Chinese Gnosis - Catharose di Petri, Jan van Ricjkenborgh

[END QUOTING]

We are what we attract. What we attract, we radiate. Therefore,  if one takes a good (honest) look at himself or herself and the circumstances of the life, one should be able to get a fairly accurate idea as to which side of the fence one is standing on - the nature-born side or the side of those who aspire to return to the Immovable Kingdom.

As you can probably glean from the post above, the human heart is the Grail Cup of legend, if it can be restored to its proper purpose. The heart is where the divine Living Water is mixed with the blood, the soul-fluid of the nature-born human being. The blood is thereby changed and purified, enabling the transport of the Divine Essence throughout the human system.

The heart is also referred to as a Vase that must be filled by the 'empty space' of the Gnosis, the Christ-vibration. The human-being is a mighty instrumentarium, designed for the express purpose of awakening the Divine-Spark and thus making it possible for the Original, Divine Inhabitant of our microcosm to regain its rightful place. The Plan set forth by the Logos is unassailable, no matter how much humanity continues to fight against its fulfillment. Our microcosm will keep coming back and coming back and coming back until at some point it assembles a personality that will, in exhaustion and surrender, let go of the earth-experience and begin to long for That Which Is Not.

The Mysterious Virtue

[QUOTING]

There is just one, very positive thing that can be shown you of the Path, and that is its beginning. The Path - Tao - must begin with the self-surrender of the dualistic ego to the Kingdom within you. And if the ego has given itself away like this, what more can it do? It is no longer there!

If such a beginning is made, just watch what happens next! Time and time again, you will see Virtue descending on the Path in all its wondrous glory, and it will be just as mysterious to you as it is to everyone else. And it will remain mysterious, even when you continue along that Path. For the Mysterious Virtue means becoming one with The Other Nature, with another Soul-state, and what do you know of that?

High up a mountain you discover a hidden spring. You strike a rock and the spring gushes open. Can you tell in advance what course the stream of water will take as it seeks and finds its way down the mountainside? Can you tell how it will reach the sea?

You are living your everyday life and you have your place in it in an office perhaps, or a shop, or a house or somewhere like that. Many people know you -- where you live -- what you are worth -- what you do for a living. They know your abilities and shortcomings, and any limitations you may have. Some of them may have known you from your schooldays, as a child of average abilities. You didn't know much then, and you still don't, and you don't feel you are in any way special.

Now, driven by an inner need, and at the suggestion of the School of the Rosycross, you are on the point of making the glorious, Johannine sacrifice of self. That mediocre "I" of yours, that many people know so well, brings you to the Spirit of the Valley, and in total surrender you empty yourself for the Other One who must grow in you.

Suppose you really do that. Suppose Mr. or Mrs. Average actually does that. What happens then? You strike the rock and a stream of Living Water comes gushing out and flows on its way.

And what then? In the eyes of the world, in the eyes of those who know you so well, you will initially remain the same Mr. or Mrs. Average. You go on doing your job, whatever it may be, and you go on living in the same place, on the same street. But you are no longer there. You have gone, like the central character in Gustav Meyrink's novel, The White Dominican.

A miracle now unfolds: the stream of the new Soul-state, whose outpouring you made possible by your total self-sacrifice, now flows along a certain course, carrying with it the 'house you left behind'. The result is the manifestation of new accents and facts in your life, much to the amazement of all those who knew you so well. 'How is it possible?' they ask themselves. Mysterious Virtue!

The being who was formerly you smiles and is silent; he continues with his everyday work for as long as is necessary, typing invoices, selling merchandise, meeting clients, or anything else that might be required. And all the while The Other One is giving birth to things in you and nourishing them.

How is that possible? It is possible because, as the great sacrifice of self unfolds, it turns out that your animal I, your biological ego, is really a fragment, a scrap, a spark, a tiny ray of the Great Being of the Heart or, at least, is connected with it. This gives rise to a certain sensation, a certain experience; it is as if the old I is observing the whole development from a corner, from a distance, as an interested party who nonetheless exerts no influence on the proceedings. It is as if The Other One in you speaks to you from time to time as an exalted relative. 'See brother, see, sister, everything is as it should be; things are being done as they have to be done', and, filled with devotion, you bow your head.

The signature of the New Consciousness is a totally different awareness. It is not an I-consciousness but a collective consciousness. It is The Other One who gives birth to things in you and nourishes them. He it is who gives birth to them, so, having reached that state, how could you ever claim possession of them for yourself?

The Other One in you is the builder of the new Soul-house, and you watch what is going on, you experience it, but you do not possess it. The Other One increases and multiplies Virtue. The stream widens and deepens. Though you share in the results of The Work, you do not do any of it yourself, so how could you ever wish for any reward? What reward would you want? What reward would be possible?

The pace of development gathers momentum, Virtue increases, and the being in which you formerly stood as lord and master towers miles above the former Mr. or Mrs. Average. The Other One rules: 'Not I, but the Christ in me'. It would be absurd, wouldn't it, if you were to see yourself as master? Never in a million years would you say: 'I am the initiate. I am the master. I am the envoy of the Brotherhood. I have the mandate. Look at me. I am the man'.

There is one signature by which you can always recognize people who want to infiltrate your ranks but do not want to follow the Path of the Mysterious Virtue: they always place the dualistic ego in the forefront, they always bring their "I" into things. They are forever fighting a battle, just as battles are always fought in this nature.

However, if you allow the "I" to fall silent and follow the Path of Wisdom, there will be a growth, a development, a going forward from power to power and from glory to glory which no child of man will ever be able to stop. Then whatever catastrophes happen in the world, you will rise above them, and above the orgy of conflict that characterizes this nature. The Kingdom of God within you will open and will gain dominion over you. Yet its dominion will be imperceptible; no compulsion will be exerted, because it responds to a totally different Fundamental Principle and is of an entirely Other Nature.

In ordinary nature, one ego rules over another, and there is compulsion ... indeed, there must be! In the New Life-Field, such a thing is impossible! So one day it will be possible to say:

Who are you, brother?
Who are you, sister?
We are no one!

We have departed forever; we are dead and we live. And we behold the great and glorious miracle, the miracle people call The Mysterious Virtue.

There Is No Empty Space

[QUOTING]

There is a manifestation known to us as the universe-of-death. Its background, which is invisible to human-beings, is more important than its visible aspects. The immaterial, invisible side of dualistic nature determines its material, visible side. The visible aspects have a function and a purpose; these are to be explained from the invisible side of things. If one examines the functions and aims of things in the world of duality and discovers that everything is trouble and sorrow, one is bound to lose all respect for the 'empty space', the invisible background underlying all these things and phenomena, because it is that invisible side of things which has determined the visible.

The aeons and the archons, and all the forces seething in 'empty space', the invisible side of the nature-of-death, know that the Causes can always be deduced from the Results. That is why they do their best to disguise their true functions and aims. That is why the whole of duality operates in such a way as to conceal the real character of the nature-of-death. But these efforts are only partly successful, because all phenomena must invariably reveal their true nature in the end.

So isn't the masquerade rather futile? No, for by the time the true nature of things comes to light, it is generally too late to take adequate protective measures. The world is full of churches and places of worship whose apparent aim is to meet the metaphysical needs of humankind. But their real aim and function is to maintain this world as it is, and to keep from humankind any knowledge of the true character of the nature-of-death. If a person devotes himself magnetically and attunes his whole being to the institution that is promising him 'salvation', he will be de-magnetized as far as any truly liberating gnostic magnetic processes are concerned, and his system will no longer be capable of benefiting from them. So you can see how extremely important it is to study the 'empty space' of the nature-of-death, for there lie the dangers, there lie the causes.

That is why the present-day Spiritual School never stops trying to unmask the invisible for you, the invisible that becomes visible in its phenomena. The cloying masks of the reflection-sphere are torn aside. The contents of that space which, to us, is empty, are uncovered. And then you know what to think of them, and you know what conclusions are justified.

End Part I

From "There Is No Empty Space" - The Chinese Gnosis - Catharose de Petri and Jan van Rijckenborgh

[END QUOTING]

Here again we are confronted with the "unknown-unknowns". Things man does not know that he does not know.

You look from here to the window or door and see 'empty space'. This is only due to your limited range of perception. The space between you and that window or door is teeming with life-activity, unseen to you, yet taking place simultaneously in your location, but in a higher density. These higher densities vibrate faster than our own, which is why we cannot perceive them. As a crude example, think of an electric fan with four blades. When the fan is not on, we can count all four blades. After we switch on the fan, its blades begin to rotate. Eventually, the blades rotate at such a speed that we are unable to count them anymore, to see their shape, their movement, etc. We see only a blur. Not only that, but if the blades are moving fast enough, we can see right through them. Again, although crude, that is an example of man's inability to see the invisible worlds. It is a question of vibration.

Now, for a word about religion. Think about it. You attend church, temple, mosque, whatever and have some human who claims to be 'qualified' in such matters tell you what to think, what to believe in and how to conduct your life. This human reads to you from books that have been altered, desecrated and maliciously edited down through the ages then tells you that you are listening to "God's word". God does not speak through these books. The Unknowable, Unmanifested All reveals Itself via Its creatures and Its Creation. Further, it is only through what is known as "the Son" that we are allowed to 'see' God.

What is "the Son"? It is not, as the altered dogma of man will tell you, a remarkable man who walked the earth two thousand years ago, although this remarkable individual did grow to manifest "the Son" from within-outwards. No, "the Son" is the Gnosis, the Christos, that divine vibration which emanates from the The Father (the All) in order to anoint that which is un-divine, thereby allowing Spirit (which is of God) to descend into Matter and infuse the un-divine with that which is Divine.

However, if you continue to listen to the know-nothings who populate the pulpit you will not be made aware of any of the above. You will eventually find yourself lost and frustrated, trying to reconcile the "word of God" with the misery you see around you on a daily basis. In despair, you will lose faith and give up seeking a way out.

Please note, this is not about the Bible or any of the holy language that has been passed on to humanity throughout the ages. It is about the desecration of this holy language to serve the ends of powerful, unseen, astral entities that live off of your energy. This will be discussed at length in a future post.

Stay out of the churches. They do not have your best spiritual interests at heart. These institutions exist to placate you, to narcotize you, to keep you asleep and ignorant. This is done through repetitive false doctrine, dead rituals, forced guilt and coercion. The churches, temples and mosques are the instruments of the aeons of this nature, who need you to keep coming back to earth-life in order to continue their own nefarious existence. The last thing they can afford is to have humanity achieve Liberation, for then they will cease to exist. This is why Jesus was dogged so much. He is the Example of how the aeons of this nature will attack anyone who attempts to free himself or herself. Despite such persecution, Jesus triumphed...and so can you.

If we persevere and follow the narrow Path that has been revealed to us, we can all leave the grave 'empty' on the coming Easter morn.

The Role of the Thymus Gland - Epilogue

There are seven major chakras. Each chakra is associated with physical organs known as the ductless endocrine glands.

Crown Chakra  - Pineal Gland
Brow Chakra - Pituitary Gland
Throat Chakra - Thyroid Gland
Heart Chakra - Thymus Gland
Solar Plexus Chakra - Adrenal Glands
Navel Chakra - Spleen
Root Chakra - Sex Glands

Each of the seven endocrine glands act as transformers of astral energies. They are linked to the seven major etheric chakras which are, in turn, each associated with an astral force center. Astral means 'of the stars". The human system is designed to attract, assimilate and radiate astral vibrations, electromagnetic star energy.

The Sun is a star. Its vital energies are assimilated by the spleen and distributed to the entire etheric double. Taking this several steps further, the constellations are collections of stars and they also transmit star energy to humanity. These vibrations are assimilated by the human system affecting every aspect of human life. That is the mechanism behind the workings of the Twelve Aeons, what man calls the Zodiac.

The distance between man and the constellations does not matter. The interaction is subtle, but tangible. The energy transference occurs beneath the perception of the physical human, but it is as real and effective as putting a plug in a socket.

Therefore it should not be hard to understand how the thymus gland, the physical endocrine organ linked to the Heart Chakra, is used to transmit astral energy that does not belong to the nature-of-death, but instead originates from the New Life-Field. The thymus is active in very young children because at birth, the microcosm of the human child has just returned to physical manifestation from the reflection-sphere in a somewhat purified state. The child is receptive to the Divine radiations primarily because it has not yet been contaminated (yet again) by Earth-life. A few years of living amongst mankind and the Light usually goes out, so to speak.

Thus, the thymus atrophies as man grows older because man becomes pre-occupied with and immersed in life, earth-life, which is actually a living death. The organ falls into dis-use and can no longer be accessed for its Original Purpose. Unless...

...unless the man or woman, through diligent, discerning Seeking begins to gain insight into the conditions of his existence and, through recognition of the hopeless futility of earth-life and its reflection-sphere (the so-called 'heaven-worlds'), begins to yearn for salvation from the nature-of-death. When that point is reached, the man will attract other astral energies. Not those of The Twelve, which are focused upon maintaining the nature-of-death, but that of The Thirteenth, which originate from a Kingdom not-of-this-world. Once the human makes the decision to turn away from the material life, these other-worldly astral energies will touch his divine Spirit-spark atom, which will begin to vibrate. This vibration will touch the thymus gland, stimulating it to begin secreting the special hormones it has waited so many years to deliver into the blood.

In this way, via the agency of this remarkable endocrine gland, any divine astral energies that touch the Spirit-spark atom will be transmitted via the blood, to the head and throughout the entire microcosm. It is in the head sanctuary where these vibrations will make their influence felt. The human will begin to have new thoughts, thoughts far-removed from the mundane foolishness of everyday earth-life. He will begin to form a mental conception of  the New Man, of Liberation from the earthly vale of tears. For such a one, it will represent the first step taken on the Transfiguristic Path.

The Role of the Thymus Gland

[QUOTING]

Lo! I tell you a mystery of healing, a mystery of recovery: We shall all be changed! The perishable must put on the imperishable, the mortal must put on immortality; then shall come to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory.

Now let us analyze this mystery. The true pupil is able, in his broken and mortal microcosm, to construct amidst this perishable world, something Imperishable and immortal, namely: the mental conception of the Immortal, Heavenly Being. This conception must be formed in a manner entirely different from that of the ordinary mental phantoms outlined above. Such a mental conception can only be accomplished by a person who still possesses the Spirit-spark atom in the right heart-ventricle. If this Spirit-spark atom can be touched by the infrared light of the Gnosis, a wonderful effect begins in the thymus, an endocrine gland situated under the sternum (and over the heart). For, in this state, the Spirit-spark atom begins to vibrate vigorously and touches the thymus with its Light impulses, which then starts to secrete a hormone into the stream of the lesser blood circulation.

The thymus is active in childhood, then shrinks and lapses into a state of latency. Through the vibration of the Spirit-spark atom touched by the Gnostic Light, the thymus is re-animated. As soon as the blood, loaded with this particular hormone, reaches the head and consequently touches the brain, the most wondrous thoughts, namely those characteristic of the True Seeker, arise due to the effects of the blood in the brain centers. One can say that, due to these wonderful effects, the image of Immortal Man in its embryonic state has already been conceived, entirely beyond the influence of the desire-being, the blood-I.

As we have observed, however, this mental image is of a quite different nature, vibration and composition from any other mental being of which we have spoken. This image radiates quietly as an extraordinary light in the respiration field, generally remaining in front of the candidate, eye-to-eye with him. Now and then it retreats from the microcosmic system, from the auric being, attracted by the infrared light of the Gnosis, and returns invigorated.

The thymus hormone, however, which caused all this is of course led downwards again through the blood circulation, and the agency of the desire body then causes this inimical substance to be removed from the blood by means of the kidneys. In the liver and the kidneys, the blood is cleansed of all substances alien to the I-nature. If, however, the Spirit-spark atom continues to vibrate, with all the associated consequences just described, a strange state of cleavage, a situation well-known to many seekers, develops in our existence, a state of living two lives.

Modern science is baffled by the thymus gland. Scientists agree that it is active in children and latent in adults. They have no further clue as to its function.

You now know.

Many Are Called...

[QUOTING]

The Universal Brotherhood*, working for fallen mankind, never approaches us with the electromagnetic potential of the cosmic septenary. Above all, because this influence would be a danger to the whole fundamental being of the dualistic state and thus The Goal could not be attained, as the people concerned do not in any way possess a suitable organic disposition to merge into another state-of-being. Secondly, a magnetic influence proceeding to a person fundamentally unable to respond to it always contains a factor of coercion, of dominance and will therefore give rise to actions which do not accord with his inner state.

The Brotherhood demands nothing from you of which you are incapable; it does not want to exercise any constraint on you or force you, and that is why it 'calls' you. It calls you to self-freemasonry and it may and can help you only to the extent that you proceed to breaking up the self. If you go one mile with the Brotherhood, it will give you light and strength for the next mile. But remember that for the sake of his own salvation nobody can be exempted from self-action.

The work of calling by the Universal Brotherhood*, concerns a wonderful radiation in our field of existence. It is a radiation wherein, and we emphatically repeat this, all magnetic elements, all factors of compulsion are absent, and yet this radiation does not leave any Spirit-spark entity at rest, because the Spirit-spark atom possesses a polarity with this radiation. Therefore this action causes a continual stirring, a permanent feeling of being called, awakened.

Just as a radio set can be tuned to a certain wavelength and reproduces what is broadcast, so the Spirit-spark atom, by virtue of its nature, is continuously tuned to these cosmic vibrations of the Brotherhood and reproduces them within its own system. These vibrations are present everywhere in the nature of our isolation field, speaking a special language to everybody open to them. In every age, brothers and sisters have gone out to mankind to translate this language, to make it comprehensible, to explain the sense of the Calling Light and, thereby, concurrently to reinforce the effect of these cosmic rays.

Thus you will be able to imagine that many millions of people in this world are 'called' in the full sense of the word; most of the pupils of the Spiritual School experience this call consciously. To be called, to know that one is called, to experience this in every fibre of one's being, of course brings with it, alongside all the other things, an intense bliss and a great certainty, namely the certainty of possessing a Spirit-spark atom. There is, however, at the same time a great danger in all of this, the danger of developing a false mysticism and of the enormous delusion which can be the result thereof.

Let us suppose that you know you are called. Experiencing The Call, however rejoicing it may be, is in itself not yet redeeming. It points only to a typical organic condition in you personality. You possess the Spirit-spark atom, this exclusive hydrogen principle, in your heart-sanctuary and therefore you must react to the respective cosmic rays. There are countless people who oppose it for incarnations, denying their True State and clinging to dualistic nature. But there are also countless people who lose themselves in false mysticism as a reaction to that which moves them. How should we understand this?

Suppose that you experience God's Call and you talk about it, sing, write poems and otherwise give evidence of it, but for the rest remain exactly the same person as you were before. That is false mysticism! When you continuously say: 'the Lord has called me', but take care to remain in the same old spot.

When a pupil speaks effusively about his being called, or talks about the Brotherhood with a serene smile regarding what he feels in the heart, about the insight he receives but, at the same time does not show the slightest change in his mode of life, this is false mysticism! Just as a purring cat suddenly extends its claws in self-defense, viciously digging its nails into the victim's flesh, so many a person indulging in false mysticism will lash out and protest full of refusal and indignation when he or she is told that 'being called' presumes a going of The Path. The Gnosis demands your entire self, the forsaking of your entire attachment to this nature. In response to its Call it requires the offer of your "I" and the actual proofs thereof. False mysticism makes the grave error of imagining being called to be the end of the process but being called is only an organic beginning, a kind of organic predisposition for the cosmic rays concerned.

If, when called, one refuses to go The Path, one inevitably falls prey to the countless negative currents attempting to shackle mankind permanently to the Wheel. Every natural religion shows this characteristic and nourishes the ego-drive. Now you can grasp the words of the Lord Jesus when He spoke: 'Many are called, but few are chosen'.

Only when a called person goes The Path consistently on the basis of his or her fundamental state-of-being, and when the Calling Light, as we said, becomes a lamp unto one's feet, does the moment come for the First Contact by the electromagnetic field of the cosmic septenary. Only then does one begin to be drawn, seized, chosen, i.e., one enters a new metabolic process. This too is neither a compulsion nor a danger nor a premature birth in the New Life, but rather the fulfilment of the parable saying: 'And the father went out towards his son, and embraced him, and kissed him'. Then the Prodigal Son has returned home. He had to go the two Paths of the Rosycross: the path of dissolution and of resurrection. The precious Jewel in the Lotus radiates in the full brightness of a New Morning. The candidate is resurrected in the New Life. Every Spirit-spark entity is called to this resurrection.

In closing, a few words regarding Revelation 17. There we read about the cosmic revolution, the agitation concerned therewith and the victory of the Lamb. In the 14th verse we read that victory will be shared by the Faithful, those Called and those Chosen. The Faithful are those who, although called, are not yet completely conscious of this fact but still react spontaneously by approaching the Spiritual School out of their innermost being. Those Called are the ones who become conscious of their state-of-being and, awakening, make the decision to Return. Those Chosen are the ones who go the Way of the Cross and awaken Reborn in the New Morning.

No matter on which of these three steps you stand at the present moment, if your motives are pure, your attitude in harmony with the demands and your reaction accords with the Great Law, you will stand on the side of Freedom during the progressive division in this world.

We pray that you may share in this Freedom that surpasses all understanding.

From "The Inevitability of the Way of the Cross" - The Coming New Man - Jan van Rijckenborgh

[END QUOTING]

The Call is a vibration that surrounds us all, it encompasses the entire world. It is not noticed by the mass of humanity, as they have not tuned to its Frequency. When we Seek the Gnosis and allow it to touch our heart, we place ourselves in contact with this Divine Vibration. From there, The Walk begins or ends, depending upon our state-of-being.

Faithful, Called or Chosen. To which do you aspire?

Rebirth of the Soul - Conclusion

[QUOTING]

May we just ask you: "Do you actually know what soul-birth really means?" Our literature talks about virtually nothing else, but its full import may still have eluded any of you.

Who or what are we as nature-born beings? We are nothing but bodies! Or, in the terminology of Hermes, we are only animal-beings. So the reality of birth of the true Rosicrucian cannot simply be applied to us without due consideration. The signature of the true Rosicrucian is expressed in the words: "Ex Deo nascimur", "We are born of God".

Are we, beings of this world, also "born of God"? No, we are born of nature, of the earthly process of preservation and consequently we possess a body which cannot be compared in any respect with the body born of God. We, as nature-born beings of the present human race, possess nothing but an emergency-order body, laden with the burden of sin, the karma of our parents, of our ancestors and or ourselves.

So if the vital principle, the soul, serves the emergency-order body, as is the case for the majority of present-day mankind; if the fire-principle of our state-of-life devotes itself to the lower nature, it is obvious what will happen: the soul will bring about a new incident in the process of dissolution. For then man, or the soul, is trying to make insoluble what can and must be soluble.

What does Hermes mean by 'the process of dissolution'? He means an ideally-operating metabolic process in which exhausted forces and substances are continually replaced by new ones. As a result, the mantle of the soul, which exists immortally in an everlasting, radiant youth and is always subject to a process of Transfiguration, proceeds from glory to glory. However, if the vital principle devotes itself to nature, it causes an incident in the process of dissolution. Then the metabolic process is disturbed and crystallization develops more quickly than the process of replacement.

However, if the soul does not sin but begins to understand and serve the One Aim of its existence, it receives the signature of the true Rosicrucian; then it is "born of God". It will then surround itself with a mantle, a vehicle which meets the requirements of the principle Harmonious Dissolution, and that which is born of nature will be used by the soul as a  "servant in the house", as a basis. If someone does not have lodgings, he will be happy to receive a shack or a ruin to begin with. He will be able to change quite a lot in this dilapidated house and furnish it according to his taste. The nature-born body is likewise able to form a working basis for the soul, a servant in the house who will help the soul to reach Higher Possibilities by which, ultimately, the indissoluble will be annihilated. Then the soul of the one who has been born out of the Divine Nature will proceed to Higher Good.

So once the soul has been born and has clothed itself with the first aspects of the New Vehicle of the Soul, one needs not be afraid of another submersion in duality when the time comes for the earthly body to die. If the New Soul has begun to develop, one will proceed from strength to strength.

In essence, Soul Rebirth means the reconstruction of the Original Vehicle of the Soul, which results in victory over birth in this nature. So pupils of the young Gnosis should first devote themselves to the Rebirth of the Soul. However, the crowning of this Rebirth must be brought about by the soul itself. After the Rebirth of the Soul comes a Rebirth by the Soul. We would like to discuss this in the following chapter.

From "The Rebirth of the Soul" - The Egyptian Arch-Gnosis, Vol II - Jan van Rijckenborgh

[END QUOTING]

It all begins when we let go of this natural life and begin yearning for Something Higher. Each one must decide for himself or herself whether they are truly weary of what passes for "life" here on earth. For if one is not ready, if one has not "counted the cost", then one may be just wasting one's time in trying to walk The Path.

We have been given insight into the true nature of our predicament. From that insight must arise a longing, a deep yearning to be liberated from this Soul-prison. Only then can we hope to light the fires that will lead us to Soul-Rebirth.

Rebirth Of the Soul

[QUOTING]

We would now like to consider the Ninth Book of Hermes in which it is explained that none of what truly exists can be lost and that, with respect to what is essential, death is a chimera and can be assigned to the realm of fable.

Let us first turn to the problem of the soul and the body and discuss the metabolic processes of the body, the circulation of atoms and forces. We will take as our basis the hermetic axiom that fundamentally and in principle the soul is immortal, and that the state of the soul determines its nature and inherent disposition of the body, its metabolic rate and all related phenomena. There is no death in the relationship between soul and body, in the ideal, faultless cooperation between soul and body. Hermes says that death is a fiction. The concept of death and what is thought to be connected with it is an error.

The Ninth Book is one of forceful argument against the idea of death and it is rather difficult for Hermes to imagine that a serious seeker who has been introduced to gnostic teachings, can continue to approach the problem from the wrong side, from the outside.

If you want to unveil this mystery for yourself, you will have to take the point-of-view of the soul and look at the various problems from there. Anyone who does so will understand the words of the Bible: 'The soul that sins must die".

The soul that sins, lives and acts against the Fundamental Divine Laws. Such a soul causes a disturbance in the metabolic processes of the body and its own sphere of action. Or, in the terminology of hermetic philosophy: such a soul causes a disturbance in the process of dissolution -- that is, in the process of Transfiguration. Such a disturbance has nothing at all to do with death. It is only an incident which restores the continuation of the Process of Eternity.

Anyone who wants to gain adequate understanding of this will have to come to terms with two totally incorrect conceptions of death, namely, the theological conception and that of historical materialism.

The theological conception expounds, with various modulations, that the phenomena usually called death is a change and that the process of life will be continued in heaven or in the land on yonder side. This opinion is shared by countless groups, with many variations on the same theme.

Historical materialism states that death is the absolute end, the definite and complete discontinuance of human existence. If one is able to abandon these two attitudes, the truth of gnostic philosophy will become clear. Hermes intended to say that death is the total discontinuance of the crystallized or diseased, wrongly living personality. What remains is a microcosm, liberated from this personality, containing a flaming, living nucleus: the Rose, the True Soul. The incident in the process of dissolution, as a consequence of which the soul is freed again from its petrified garment is, after all, a great blessing. It allows the soul to continue the course of eternity, provided it begins where the incident was caused.

For this purpose, the emptied microcosm must seek re-vivification by means of a new personality and try, by living on the basis of Divine laws and forces, to enter transfiguration. This is a harmonious metabolic process without incident which takes place by itself, a change of the garment of the soul ,continuing from power to power and from glory to glory. It is an ideally proceeding duality of the seventh aspect, of the mantle of the soul, while the soul itself, linked with its Pymander, exists autonomously in the sixth aspect of the Divine Manifestation.

From a philosophical point-of-view, death is nonsense. Death, as Hermes rightly said, is "annihilation, but nothing that exists in the world is annihilated". In the world, manifested by the four elements of air, earth, fire and water, that which has assumed shape but cannot be used is again dissolved and returned to its origin, while the soul is freed from a highly undesirable crystallization.

There have always been those who had to contend with a troublesome or grievous life, and therefore said: "Let us lend the liberation of the soul a helping hand by committing suicide. If the petrified mantle around the soul proves to serve no useful purpose at all, let us put an end to it". This is a very serious misunderstanding, because a self-murderer cannot himself break down his crystallized personality. For, even if he destroys his physical body, the other three vehicles of the personality, the etheric, astral and mental vehicles, will continue to exist until the vibration of the original image has entirely died away. The boundless distress of the self-murderer during this period is beyond any description. Moreover, we should understand that the one key to the life of Liberation lies exactly in the birth-of-nature. If one does not seize his Liberation in this nature, if one does not force open the Doors of the Mysteries now, one will have to try again, as a microcosm, the next time.

The way of Liberation leads through the birth in this nature to the birth of the soul. In the Beginning, when the soul still existed in the World of the Living soul, it was the Spirit which expressed itself in the body via the soul. Now the way back must be walked; nature-born man must again awaken the soul to Life, must become its obedient servant and strive for the restoration of the binding with the Spirit, with Pymander, under the guidance of the soul. Anyone who does not go this way will have to - as a microcosm - begin again via the earthly birth process.

End Part I

From "The Rebirth of the Soul" - The Egyptian Arch-Gnosis, Vol II - Jan van Rijckenborgh

[END QUOTING]

We are installed as personalities into our microcosm in order to liberate it from the nature-of-death. Everything needed to accomplish this task is contained within the four vehicles of the personality (physical, etheric, astral an mental). If, during physical life, we seek and find The Golden Thread and begin the fivefold gnostic process of Liberation, we will avoid the crystallization that leads to the usual death-of-this-nature. The "person" who enables the microcosm to begin its liberating walk, will participate in that process step-for-step right up through its Glorious Consummation.

On the other hand, those who endeavor to cling tightly to this temporary, transient world in an attempt to make it something permanent and 'real', will obstruct the Divine Process of Transfiguration for which we were born to fulfill. At that point, the personality is no longer of use to the microcosm, and the process of natural death, which is nothing more than a dissolution of a certain combination of atoms, will run its course. The microcosm will be emptied, the "person" who was, will be no more.

One can accept the foregoing as a horrible, frightening proposition or as a joyous, uplifting revelation of salvation. The point-of-view taken will say much about the state-of-consciousness of that individual.

Dissolution, Not Death

- NINTH BOOK -
THAT NONE OF WHAT
TRULY EXISTS CAN BE LOST, BUT
THAT MAN MISTAKES
TRANSFORMATION FOR
ANNIHILATION AND DEATH

1. HERMES: With regard to the soul and the body let us now discuss, my son, in what way the soul is immortal and of what nature is the force that holds the body together and causes it to disintegrate.

2. Death has nothing to do with these things. Death, or mortality, is only a concept derived from the word immortality, whether as an invention or because man has dropped the first syllable and begun to speak of mortality.

3. Death is annihilation, but nothing that exists in the world is annihilated. Since the world is an immortal being, it is impossible for even a single part of it to perish. Everything in the world constitutes part of the world, and above all, Man, the being equipped with reason.

4. Before and above everything is God: the Eternal One, the Uncreated One, the Creator of All Things. The second one, the world, has been created by Him in His image; is maintained and nourished by Him, and is endowed with immortality since, as an immortal being which has proceeded from the Eternal Father, it possess everlasting life.

5. To live in eternity should be clearly distinguished from what eternally is, for the Eternal One has not proceeded from any other being, and even if He had been brought into being, He would have been brought into being by Himself. But He has never been brought into being, but brings Himself forth in eternal genesis. So the Universe has everlasting life out of the Eternal One, but the Father is eternal of Himself; so the world is everlasting and Divine through the Father.

6. He formed the body of the world out of all the matter which He had destined for this purpose. He gave it a spherical shape, determined the qualities that were to adorn it and endowed it, since the matter was Divine, with eternal materiality.

7. After the Father had radiated the qualities of the species into the sphere, He locked them up in it, as in a cave, because He desired to adorn His creation with all characteristics.

8. He surrounded the whole body of the world with immortality so that, if matter sought to break away from the body's cohesive force, it would not return to the chaos peculiar to it.

9. When matter had not yet been formed into body, my son, it was in a state of chaos. It even now gives evidence of this, to a certain extent, by its ability to increase and decrease, an ability which men call death.

This disorder, this return to chaos, only occurs in earthly creatures. The bodies of heavenly beings maintain the order assigned to them in the beginning by the Father. This order is indestructibly preserved for the return of each of them to the State of Perfection.

11. The return of earthly bodies to their former condition consists in the disintegration of the force of cohesion, which turns them back into bodies which cannot be disintegrated, or in other words, into immortal bodies. So there is indeed a falling away of the consciousness of the senses, but no annihilation of the bodies.

12. The third living being is Man, who has been created in the image of the world and, in accordance with the Father's will, is above all the other earthly animals in that he possesses reason. He is not only closely connected with the second God but also approaches, in his inner contemplation, the essence of the first God. With his senses, he perceives the second God as a body, while his insight causes him to recognize the first God as bodiless and as Spirit, as The Good.

13. TAT: Is this living being then not subject to annihilation?

14. HERMES: Rejoice, my son, and understand what God is, what the world is, what an immortal being is, and what a being is that is subject to disintegration. Realize that the world, born of God, is in God; that Man, born of the world, is in the world; and that God, the Origin of the All, contains and preserves all things in Himself.

It Is Better To Be Stupid Than Wise

[QUOTING]

We would also like to mention that reason should not be confused with memory. Suppose we were to give you a perfect translation of all the books of Hermes with a complete, detailed commentary and that you, having received this gift, also had a tremendous memory. The memory of dualistic man can be developed by training --  a training that in most cases spans several generations and and is handed down from parent to child -- just as a stomach can be expanded by eating large quantities of food. There are people who have contracted a distortion of the stomach by eating too much. Consequently, they need much more food to fill their stomachs than other people, without their organisms deriving any profit from it.

Now suppose that you, with your tremendous memory, had received the complete translation of Hermes. Then you would quote from this hermetic treasure stored in the bag of your memory, whenever you wished or whenever you were asked. In the eyes of the world you would appear to be a hermetic genius, and a superficial person might perhaps take you to be a hermetic initiate.

The modern system of education seeks to make the bag of memory as big as possible. All teachers make this their aim and the parents co-operate. If a child does not learn its lessons, there is usually trouble. Do you see the mistake? With such a crammed memory you would in fact know nothing, nothing at all. In reality, you would be completely deceiving yourself and everyone else. Every time you dipped into your memory bag your brain organism would react in a robot fashion.

We are trying to draw your attention to one of the greatest mystifications of today's civilization: that memory training and memory filling means the acquisition of wisdom. Well, you may certainly become a professor, but a professor is by no means a sage. As one who is looking for Liberating Wisdom, you will have to free yourself from the mystification that memory training could make you into an independent, free thinker, a philosopher by the grace of God.

Moreover, what is considered to be "wisdom" is worse than stupidity, because it destroys the extremely delicate brain organism. A person who gives himself to that wisdom is imprisoned by delusion and a high degree of crystallization., whereas ignorance, in the sense of freedom from the memory cult and its consequences will, in the long run, induce man to Seek. For the sake of your body, your physical organism, it is better to be stupid than wise in the eyes of the world. Children who escape from the much-esteemed cult of the intellect, be it because of social conditions or because of the fact that they cannot get on in the treadmills of habituation, are pre-eminently blessed by Providence, for they escape a dance of death.

When we say this, we certainly do not mean to advocate stupidity and we certainly do not advise you to keep your children away from school. However, seen from the point of view of pupilship -- don't be worried if your child cannot learn and don't be over-enthusiastic if your child is getting along very well at school.

We very much hope that you will be able to understand something of the Great Gnostic Mystery of Salvation: the possibility of freeing yourself from all authority and entering the Divine Wisdom, the Gnosis, itself. Discover that in this development there are no more limitations. By means of the New Thinking, the candidate gains contact with whatever object he desires. The object is pulled into and revealed in the open space behind the frontal bone,  in which it can be seen and analyzed and its activity investigated. The candidate is then connected with it and, if it is useful or necessary, he will be able to speak about it to secure understanding and give advice.

In those who are gnostically-enlightened, memory is assigned its Original Task, in line with the Originally-intended Purpose. Therefore, we repeat: do not ruin your children, do not force them. If it is still possible for them, give them the opportunity to approach the Original Purpose of memory. For those who are gnostically-enlightened, memory is nothing but vehicle of reproduction. If information about something is required, memory will direct itself to it unconditionally, establish contact with it and enlighten the mind.

Finally, we wish to draw your attention to another point within the scope of this investigation. Many people who have not yet found The Path to Soul Birth and, consequently, have not yet put into effect their self-authority, sometimes find themselves in a desperate and even dangerous state-of-seeking. Such persons might be guided in the right direction if a certain aid were not withheld from them. Whenever a person truly seeks, he will be touched by the elementary light of the Gnosis, which is always seeking what is lost. In this state-of-being, in which millions of people are placed repeatedly, one is open for gnostic language and testimonies from the past. However, one does not get much out of testimonies from the past, unless they can take shape in the present.

What is the use of a preceding Brotherhood (the Cathars)  if it does not appear in the present in a young, gnostic Brotherhood (LRC). Only if the seeker is confronted with Gnosis in the present, will a living testimony develop for him and will he be able to find clear guidance for his life.

Also, you probably know how  the testimony and the remains of the gnostic past have been systematically destroyed to the greatest extent possible, and violated, stolen or kept hidden over the centuries. Therefore, you will realize all the more how necessary it is that you prepare yourself  for the True Freedom of which we have spoken. As a result of this state of Freedom and the possession of the Eyes of the Soul, you, as priestly beings, will become a living testimony in the gnostic realm; you will be able to be a consolation and a blessing for seeking, suffering and misguided mankind.

What is necessary in the first place is not literature, however useful it may be. What is necessary in the first place is not an organization harmonized to the finest detail, however important that may be and however much we strive for it. What is necessary in the first place is that you should possess the Eyes of the Soul and the enlightened, renewed Thinking. And in this respect, nothing stands in your way, nothing at all!

What we need in the young Gnosis is priestly human beings. And you can only bring into effect this gnostic, priestly office by absolute self-surrender to the Rose of Roses, to the Great, Holy Work, through a perfect endura, by doing what you profess, and not only talking about it.

An Invitation To Life

[QUOTING]

We hope and pray that very many will become conscious of the new liberating possibilities that have been granted to Seeking mankind; that they will understand the aim of the work of the young Gnosis: to make all those who are ready, open for the Light of the New Day which is now dawning for us. Our fervent prayer is that you will from now on abandon all counter-movement and that whenever it approaches you, you will always recognize it in time.

Mankind as a unity, as a Brotherhood of the Beginning, has been broken to pieces, and we see the fragments in man's extreme individualization. If you are also like this, you too stand in the midst of all those countless others as an "I", as a rock-hard, unapproachable, individualized being, separated from all others. You are lonely and, in more than one respect, imprisoned. All those who are lonely and imprisoned are moved about in their respective spaces by their respective forces. They are all in motion, it is true, but it is the motion of the counter-nature. You live side-by-side, but you do not understand each other at all. You do not tolerate one another, indeed, you are unable to do so -- until the Gnosis has been sought and found.

The Gnosis is the born Aesclepius, the healer, the Lord of Love. The Gnosis seeks you out in your isolation and captivity and acquaints you with The Path. Anyone who wishes to follow this Path must break away from the hell of counter-movement and, by dying the last death of self-surrender to the Gnosis, to the Lord of Love, cause the New Soul-State to awaken. Such a one will immediately enter the New Mystery of the Holy Spirit, the mystery of the Divine Genesis, the mystery by which the Son manifests Himself.

In the young Gnosis, this genesis is granted to you. It is a genesis in which you are given all that is truly Good, and in which nothing can be taken away from you any longer. It is a genesis in which the Father of the All, in His Son, brings Himself forth within Us.

The one, eternal salvation is open for you; come, approach its Majesty. Arise now, into this Wonderful Life, leaving behind all earthly strife.

From "The New Liberating Possibilities" - The Egyptian Arch-Gnosis - Vol. II - Jan van Rijckenborgh

[END QUOTING]

What is counter-movement? Counter-movement is what man mistakenly refers to as "reality". The nature-born human being who is controlled by the natural aeons of the spheres and remains comfortably within that space moves counter to the Divine Movement, the Divine Plan of the Logos, which proceeds from power to power and from glory to glory.

One can liken it to a man travelling on a long journey who stumbles across a garbage dump and then chooses to make himself at home there. Not only does he make himself at home, he tries with all his might to make the dump "a better place". He doesn't realize that no matter how much work he puts into it, he is still living in a dump. His Original Journey has been interrupted and his True Destination lies far off.

You are being invited to change from the mortal soul-state of the nature-of-death to the New Soul-State of the way to Life, the Way of the Stars. You are being invited to begin weaving the Golden Wedding Garment that will lead to a unification of Spirit and Soul, the rebirth of the Spirit-Soul. It is the Spirit-Soul that will provide the basis for the transfiguration of the human entity, for the glorification of the microcosm.

There is a method for obtaining the One Goal, there is a Path that can be followed straight to Liberation. This Path calls out to all, without reservation or discrimination, ready to lead an Awakened One to true Immortality.

It is the duty of Man to raise his head out of the intoxication of the mortal, earthly soul-state, heed The Call, and then answer It.

Those who have ears to hear...
