Judgement Day - May 21, 2011

"AND then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here [is] Christ; or, lo, [he is] there; believe [him] not. For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if [it were] possible, even the elect" Mark 13:21-22

A certain Harold Camping, a self-professed Bible "expert" has promised that Judgement Day will take place tomorrow, Saturday, May 21, 2011. He derived this date from calculations based on the assumption that God created the world around 6,000 years ago.

His prediction is being ridiculed, and deservedly so. Although we are in the end-times, it is not advisable for anyone to fix a date. Even the much-discussed December 21, 2012 date does not represent the "end" of anything. It is actually more of a "beginning", as certain cosmic alignments will precipitate a Great Transformation. Whatever tribulations mankind has to go through should take place prior to that date. So, procrastinators are advised to not wait until next December to begin living in Love and Service. For it is written:

"...the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. [Seeing]then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless"
2 Peter 13:10-14

Beware of false prophets. See you tomorrow.

Mr Camping forgot that "only the father knows the time these things will happen". Even Jesus did not know.
