The Mystery Of The Endura
Endura - the path of I-demolition, the path of the last golden death through the self-surrender of the I to the 'Other One', to the Immortal Man, the 'Christ in me'. It is the path of the Johannine man, who 'makes straight the paths...'; it is putting into practice the words: 'He, the heavenly Other One, must increase, and I must decrease, so that the heavenly Other One will live in me'.
The path of the endura is the classical path along which fallen man, existing in darkness, suffering and death will have to travel to rise to his true, Immortal being, and so return to the Father. Our journey through the world of duality leads us to death; the endura is a voluntary dying to realize True Life. It is the Path of the God-seeking man, voluntarily dying as to his I-being, to be able to live eternally in the Other One. 'He who loses his life for My sake, will find It'. - JVR

Serious pupils in the Forecourt of the Rosycross who are fully prepared to take leave of the world of duality are continually asking themselves, "How do we take our first steps on the Path of Transfiguration?
To be able to answer that question clearly, the pupil needs to possess some fundamental knowledge about his own being. He also needs to recognize clearly the insurmountable difference between natural religion, on the one hand, and the mystical and magical transfiguristic path on the other. The difference between occultism and transfigurism lies in the fact that all occult methods (bg: certain yogas, for example) aim at acquiring a higher consciousness in the reflection-sphere (bg: the material "heaven-worlds").
This fact makes mutual understanding and respect very difficult. When a transfigurist speaks about his philosophy of life and his view of the world, more or less the same difficulties present themselves as those which arose some centuries ago at the beginning of the Renaissance. The intelligentsia of that time still considered the earth to be flat. A few enlightened pioneers taught the existence of a spherical, and even of a rotating earth. Such nonsense was considered dangerous, and they were cautioned, threatened, imprisoned, exiled or burned.
The Forecourt of the Rosycross is always filled both with religious-types who no longer find life in their churches bearable, and with occult seekers who crave higher consciousness. It is most painful for them to learn that neither type can be received into the Sanctuary. No matter what sort of halo of cultivated "goodness" such a person may wear, the sanctuary of a transfiguristic spiritual school will be inaccessible to him.
This is not a question of rejection or of arrogant presumption on the part of the School, but of the absolute structural unfitness of the candidate. The striving human being of this nature believes he can qualify for the Universal Life by cultivating "goodness" in the religious, humanitarian or occult sense. This is an absolute delusion! By means of this kind of "culture", one can only elevate oneself and prepare oneself for a certain harmonious, albeit transitory life in the subtler realms of the dualistic world-order. That has always been the great difficulty. When a transfigurist offers his treasures to the world, people think they can be understood in the terms of nature-religion or occult science. The result, of course, will always be negative.
In dualistic life it is said, "experience is the best teacher", but for the problems you face in a transfiguristic school, ordinary everyday experiences are of little or no value. When you live your life in the ordinary way, and on that basis enter the reflection-sphere after death, you will eventually return as a helpless child, with a totally different blood-state and, at best, with a tiny spark of Remembrance, but without the slightest comparative knowledge regarding the Immovable Kingdom, and thus, with a totally inadequate foundation. That is why Jesus Christ said "Many are called, but few are chosen". Transfigurism can do the calling, but only you yourself can walk the Path of the Chosen.
The dualistic higher consciousness movements, in addition to calling, can always mislead you with something that is in accordance with your sphere of consciousness. They approach you with the miraculous, with the scientifically irrefutable, and even backed by the authority of an official professorship in para-psychology. But transfigurism is different. It can only call! As soon as a person answers this Call, walks The Path, and tastes the first joys of renewal, he is completely unable to offer adequate proof of this in the dualistic sense. On the one hand, his way of life is seen as the cultivation of "goodness" and on the other as arrogant self-glorification, for there are no dualistic equivalents for these values, and if there were, they would certainly not be called transfiguristic.
Even so, the Call awakens in its hearers an immeasurable longing, for transfigurism aims at a return to the Original Divine state. And who would not desire such a return? That is why, in the School, you can always find a suitable basis on which to work, a foundation on which you can stand, for it is given to every pupil to practice the Science of Return.
The practice of this science, however, makes heavy demands on the dualistic awareness. The pupil who walks this Path leaves behind him everything of this nature, the unseen as well as the seen. But even that is not enough, for in the end he loses even himself. "He who is willing to lose his life for my sake, shall find It".
Dualistically seeking and striving beings know, at the most, self-denial, the total readiness of the "I" to sacrifice the self for the consolation and blessing of the world. But transfigurism requires the losing of the self, the total nullification of the I-personality. It is only from this loss that "It" is won. Only by this "It" can the transfiguristc value be expressed. "It" is Tao. It is the "undefinable" of the still unborn Divine Man. It bears nothing more within it of your self, and yet "It" must be won by the sacrifice of your self. That is the essence of mystery!

The Fivefold Path
If one does not come to understand that there are two nature-orders and that the purpose of his or her life is to obtain liberation from this undivine world-order, that one will not gain what is necessary to bring him to the doorstep of The Path, which is:
Insight.
Once one gains insight into the conditions one "lives" under, once one knows that he or she is controlled by archons and aeons - the rulers - and that he or she is constantly victimized and parasitized by these invisible powers every second of every day, one will first begin to recognize the hopelessness of existence in this nature order and then, if he or she truly understands their dilemma, that one will begin to look for a way out of this vale of tears. He or she will experience a deep
Yearning for Salvation.
This yearning, if heartfelt, constant and sincere, will result in the Divine Spark within the heart experiencing the touch of the Gnosis, a touch that is not-of-this-world, which is responding to the cry of one who wishes to be not-of-this-world. With that Touch, the Rose will begin to bloom. Great changes will begin to take place in the soul fluids of the seeker. But in order for these changes to flourish the candidate must negate the ego. He or she must begin the process of endura. The endura is the gradual neutralization of the I through indifference and
Self-Surrender.
This "self-surrender" means just that. The I, the lower self, the you-that-you-are, must be given over to the Process of Change. It must lessen in influence over the man or woman as the New Soul is allowed to assert Its influence over the personality. So it has been written: "He must increase, while I must decrease". Without this self-surrender, it will be almost impossible for one to adopt a
New Attitude of Life.
The 'new attitude of life" makes all the difference. It can be summed up in a few powerful words: "not my will, but Thine be done". This is not a reference to a standing back in helpless surrender while placing oneself at the "mercy" of some "higher power". No. It means that we actively, voluntarily, choose to allow the Father to work through us.
How do you think The Creator gets things done in His Creation? i'll wait. The answer? Through His creatures! The problem with this nature-order is that humans are more concerned with doing for themselves than doing for others. Because we refuse to allow the Creator's Divine Force to flow through us, we stagnate, we crystallize. In this petrified state, we eventually fade out of incarnation, vacating the microcosm to make room for the next personality.
Perhaps the next inhabitant of your microcosm will be the one who heeds The Call and takes the steps that are necessary to allow for the Rebirth of the Soul and the Resurrection of the New Human Being. When, after faithfully following the four steps previously mentioned the New Soul is re-born, the Spirit will descend to take possession of its purified vehicles and a glorified Personality will be manifested. This, is
Transfiguration.
These are the five gnostic steps of attainment leading to Final Liberation from this fallen nature-order.

The Zodiac - A Twelvefold Prison

During the soul journey to the Father, the arrival at the so-called Twelfth Aeon proves to be the last and most deciding phases of the ascent out of duality.
In order to fathom this, we need to have some understanding of the significance of the zodiac. The twelve macrocosmic powers of the zodiac, which rule our dualistic universe in a more direct sense, enclose our part of the dualistic universe. They rule it. They form the highest dualistic authorities from which the twelvefold personality develops. They form:
first: the dualistic I-consciousness (Aries)
second: the dualistic instinct of possession (Taurus)
third: the dualistic idea of brotherhood (Gemini)
fourth: the dualistic idea of the fatherland (actualizing the kingdom of God on earth) (Cancer)
fifth: the dualistic idea of strength, courage and heroism (Leo)
sixth: the dualistic idea of fertility (Virgo)
seventh: the dualistic idea of true harmony of life (Libra)
eighth: the dualistic idea of the development that is expressed in occultism (Scorpio)
ninth: the dream of dualistic deification (Sagittarius)
tenth: the first step in fulfilling this delusion in the mental sense (Capricorn)
eleventh: the second step in the ethical sense (Aquarius)
twelfth: the third step in the sense of physical manifestation, which step must mean nothing but endless sorrow (Pisces)
This whole twelvefold chain forms the great prison in the nature-of-death. These are the twelve gods from whom emanate: twelve ideas, twelve delusions, twelve attempts.
The Pistis Sophia calls this chain, in its unity, "the great Forefather", with his three great triple-powers. This system namely has a fundamental force, a controlling force, and a continuously activating force: the trinity of the nature-of-delusion. It is clear that every candidate who wants to fulfill his homeward journey has to shake off the chain of delusion right up to the twelfth hour.
Twelve gods rule everything that exists and lies within the zodiac. These twelve gods have their reflections in our lipika and hence in our magnetic system and in our personality. It is logical that it is not enough for any pupil on The Path merely to break up his own zodiac in his own auric being. He has to rise beyond the whole universe-of-death, so that the Garden of the Gods will no longer be able to victimize him.
For this reason the Rosycross places you before another Forefather with His three triple-powers. For a fundamental force emanates from the Gnosis, and he who stands on this stands as if on a rock. There is a gnostic controlling force, and he who walks his Path by means of this force can never deviate. And there is a gnostic activating force. Whoever is armed with this force possesses Siegfried's sword and a light-vesture that will escape all dangers.

Many understand and accept that the zodiac has an influence on human beings and human circumstances. But how is this so? How can man be affected by distant stars?
The zodiacal signs are actually constellations of stars, star-systems. Following the universal laws of radiation, these groups of stars emanate particular astral vibrations, peculiar to themselves. The word "astral" means "pertaining to the stars".
Astral forces travel by way of the astral realm of this nature. In addition to the physical, etheric and mental bodies, humans have an astral body, sometimes referred to as the desire body. It is this astral body that assimilates astral forces. This includes the astral forces that emanate from the star-groups that compose the twelve signs of the zodiac. The purpose of man's chakras is to attract and distribute astral energies throughout the personality. In the vast majority of humans, these zodiacal influences are unconsciously and unswervingly obeyed. This is why it is often repeated here that "man does not live, he is lived".
During this present period, this Time of the End, these twelve powers have been weakened by one-third. Humanity has been freed to a certain extent from the iron grip of "the rulers", these twelve archons. This is the reason we see religions crumbling and revolutions of all types on the rise, be they personal, cultural or political. That which chained the minds of humanity for thousands of years has been severed. This has been done to allow man to take advantage of the presence of The Thirteenth Aeon, which has the power to bestow upon all who seek deliverance, the grace of divine astral energies, energies that are not-of-this-world.
It stands to reason that if there are twelve star-systems that constitute the twelve signs of the zodiac, there must also be a constellation that represents The Thirteenth. Well, there is. That constellation is Ophiuchus, known as Serpentarius in ancient times.
You may recall that a year or so ago, this constellation was presented to humanity as the so-called "13th sign of the zodiac". Astrologers balked, the masses laughed. It is hope that after reading this post, the reader will do neither. Instead, may you find the wisdom to take advantage of the Grace that is being offered to mankind at this critical time of Transformation.

The Archons Of The Aeons

We have discussed in detail the marvelous change occurring in the aural being when the pupil begins to develop the holy process of the Fiery Triangle. This change signifies the manifestation of twelve magnetic points, as a result of which the microcosm concerned receives a new zodiac and hence can develop a new magnetic system.
All those who are true, all those who are dedicated to the one Universal Christ-Light -- the twelve Saviors of the Treasury of Light, as the Pistis Sophia says -- will receive these twelve forces. Whoever enters this state-of-being will experience as a living reality the words:
'For all men who are in the world have gotten their souls out of the power of the rulers [archons] of the aeons. But the power which is in you is from Me; your souls belong to the Height'.
Who are they, the archons of the aeons? They are the ruling and leading powers in the universe-of-death. This is not just all that dwells in the reflection-sphere, but think especially of the great powers that control the solar system, the zodiacal systems and even greater formations in the universe-of-death.
After the Fall, when Adamic humanity was driven from the Original Universe, a completely new -- a dualistic -- universe was created for its benefit, a universe that would have had to adapt itself completely, as far as the nature-laws and nature-forces are concerned, to the totally changed nature of Adamic humanity. This humanity was separated into innumerable groups and formations and tied to one of the equally innumerable groups of stars. And each group received a leader, a race-god, a Lord. These gods, these rulers, are referred to in the Pistis Sophia as the archons of the aeons.
It will be clear to you that theses race-gods in no way have the task nor the capability of leading the entities subject to them back to the Original Life. They have the drive to cultivate their systems, to lead them to their own goal in the All-Manifestation, and thus to make their work acceptable to the Gnosis.
The fact that such a goal can never be reached is the doom of the archons. The fact that all the entities dependent on them will one day withdraw from their control through Transfiguration is their sorrow. Hence, when we speak about the archons of the aeons, you should certainly not think that these powers are the very image of evil and blackness, that all the vices of the gutters of civilization are theirs. No, in many respects they represent the greatest virtues of the dualistically attainable; they expound the most beautiful aspects imaginable of an essentially undivine world-order. In some respects, we could call them top Ephesians, the summit of border-dwellers ("Ephesian" is symbolic for "border-dweller", i.e., those who have reached the borders of the Divine Kingdom while standing at the very edge of this nature-order).
However they react to that state in a quite different way than Adamic humanity does. When an Adamic person has climbed to the state of an Ephesian, he will begin to long for his Original Home, and leave his state of imprisonment. The archons cannot possess that longing because they are cosmocrators, the creators of the complicated system of the nature-of-death. They will have to continue their activities until the last fallen entity has been released from their clutches by free choice, and their universe can be ended.
You should note well, therefore, that very high cultural developments can be instigated by the archons and all entities who have received their souls from them; that brotherhood and philanthropy, goodness, truth, and justice can be ascribed to them, and that they maintain a Devachan, an uppermost "heaven" of almost unthinkable beauty and happiness, while all this nevertheless has nothing to do with real Liberation.
They who wish to place their feet on the Path of Transfiguration and who try to renew their souls by and out of the twelve Original Saviors of the Treasury of Light, need to realize these things fully so that mistakes are excluded. They need to turn exclusively to the essential liberating aspects of the Universal Doctrine and of the Christian revelations of salvation. For this reason, anything specifically Semitic and Mosaic must be eradicated from their thinking.
You will find proof of our opinion in Deuteronomy 32. This chapter is commonly known as The Song of Moses.
'When the Most High apportioned the nations, when he divided humankind, he fixed the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the gods; for the Lord's own portion was his people, Jacob his allotted share.
The "Lord" here is not The Absolute, but the god of the covenant of Israel: Jehovah. It is clear that all these Semites, under super-human leadership, occupied themselves with testimonies of gratitude;
'For [Moses] will proclaim the name of the Lord. Ascribe greatness to our God!' - Deuteronomy 32:2
'The Lord alone guided him [Jacob], no foreign god was with him' - Deuteronomy 32:12
This expression is typically dualistic. In the Original, the Absolute is absolute, but in duality even an archon can become greater through the obedience of his children. And he becomes extremely wrathful if they resist his will.
Moses was therefore a hierophant of the Jehovistic mysteries, the Semitic mysteries, just as every leading archon has his mysteries. No doubt he was a great man according to dualistic measures, but very apparently and emphatically an entity with an archon soul, who entirely accepts and heeds the "divine word" when his god say to him (Deut. 32:39):
See now that I, even I, am he;
there is no god besides me.
I kill and I make alive;
I wound and I heal;
and no one can deliver from my hand.
You know that the Semitic root race was divided into twelve tribes. This is his 'alloted share', the lot of Jacob. What has been done on account of this 'allotted share' we all know. When the nomadic tribes of the old Semites invaded Canaan, they massacred all the people living there and took their possessions. By the commandment of their god, no one was to survive. If there were a few humanists among the Semites who let some people live, this was scored against them very heavily by their god.
And later, when the Semitic people arrived in their stolen land, where they had destroyed a beautiful and sublime culture (the Egyptian), they went on with their orgies of murder. The worst of these was the tribe of Dan, which was not satisfied with its boundaries and occupied an adjoining state, massacred its people, and took possession of it in the name of Jehovah (see Judges 18:27). 'Dan' means "judge" or "justice"; well, the dualistic nature of this "justice" will not escape our attention.
There is no need to object to this, for all people in this world have received their souls from the power of the aeons. And right up to this hour you will find proof that the leading figures of this planet are the most humble and faithful servants of the aeons. 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth' -- the ancient Mosaic law, received from the hand of his god, is also today still the leading motive of the masses and of the individual, even though Jehovah is no longer mentioned and Christ is on their lips. Even a child can understand that this Christ is a false Christ.
All of us who are the descendants of the old root races and in whom all the suggestions of the grey past stir and boil out of the subconscious and out of the direct radiation of our lipika of the archons, all of us must understand that there is one solution for us: throwing ourselves into the Process of Liberation, so that one day it can be said of us also:
The power which is in you is from Me, the Christ, and your souls belong to the Absolute Kingdom.

"The Only-Begotten" - Conclusion

When we begin discussing the fourteenth book of Hermes, we will be guided onto a mountain; we will be listening to a sermon on the mount. And the first piece of advice Hermes gives there is to observe silence. The signature of the Soul is silence, and activity through power: Power, Activity and Eternity. If we do not pay attention to this, if we do not take it into consideration, then the term 'Christian' or 'Rosicrucian' becomes a caricature, as has so often been the case throughout history. So should one spurn the personality, as some yoga systems do? No, certainly not: this personality needs to be transfigured.
The fourteenth book of Hermes also fulminates against intellectualism. The personality-being thinks he knows everything. But Hermes asserts that he knows nothing, and indeed is incapable of knowing anything essential.
That is why all chatter should cease, and one should enter into silence. May we warmly recommend this to you yet again? For in chatter lies the greatest danger for the pupil.
The personality needs to be transfigured. But do not understand this in the wrong way: he does not transfigure himself; only the Soul, the only-begotten Son of the Godhead, performs this miracle. For the Son is one with the Father. As far as the personality-being is concerned, no one is good, not even one, as Jesus says. Only the Son of God is absolute; only the Soul and the radiance emanating from It are good. A multiplicity of forms and manifestations are present in corporeal nature. If only that multiplicity becomes perfect through the law of the Spirit, or is able to comply with that law, then the Soul, which is of God, will be able to make and achieve whatever It wills; if only you comply with the only-begotten One within you.
If you release the power which lies sunken in the Primordial Atom by surrendering yourself in inner silence and calm; if, in this way, the 'fragrance of the Rose' can find expression, then the Soul, which is of God, will be able to make and achieve anything It wills. If, regardless of his current state-of-being, the personality-being places himself completely under the wings of the Soul, then from power, activity and eternity the only true human form will arise.
That is why humanity needs to understand these things. And that is why we are talking about them now. For, as the Bible laments, 'My people, my brothers and sisters of the Soul, are lost for lack of knowledge'. And that is why the Brotherhood of the Rosycross reveals the science of liberation, the knowledge of salvation. But if you absorb this knowledge intellectually, and hold onto it as a mere intellectual concept, it will go wrong; then you will never reach your Goal. That is why people must be given the understanding necessary to enable them to cooperate with the process, consciously and in the right way.
Now you might say: 'I already knew about that; it is like this, and it is like that, and I must do this, and I must do that...', but you must do nothing! Only surrender, in inner stillness, to the God within you. Do, please, understand it: within your microcosm burns the Light, the Central Heart; and it is to that you must turn.
The Central Heart must grow, but you must perish. And since you must perish, you will need to understand the process. That is the reason why the knowledge is given to you. Not to cram your head with it, so that you can say 'now I know it all', but to enable you to walk the Path of Liberation. Church Christianity knows nothing of the liberating Truth, and that is why it can so easily be misguided by the various authorities. In verse seventeen of our text is is therefore said to Tat:
'If you pull aside all contention over words, you will find, my son, that the Spirit, the Soul of God, truly has dominion over everything: over fate, over the law, and over everything else, and nothing is impossible for it. It is able to exalt the human soul above fate, but equally, to subject it to fate if it has fallen into error'
Hermes could not have put it more positively. This passage implies that, though nature-born man may have transgressed and sinned most grievously against the elementary laws of life, provided he surrenders and entrusts himself to the only-begotten Son within him, to the immortal Soul, this immortal Soul will be able to break through even the most fatal, self-invoked doom; this is the only 'forgiveness of sins'. That is why we read in the Bible, for instance with respect to the penitent adultress who had turned to the true Soul: 'Let him among you who is without sin cast the first stone'.
Pupilship must be shown in a concrete way, and carried out demonstrably. The doctrine of guilt and the forgiveness of sins and grace is a classical hermetic teaching. It fills us with joy to be able to tell you this and to be able to prove it with the aid of the gospel of the Arch-Gnosis, which is so many thousands of years old. This great and glorious consolation comes to us in this passage from the thirteenth book with the assurance that the True Soul is higher and more powerful than any fate. This consolation is also given to us in more familiar words from the Bible:
' Though your sins be as red as scarlet, they will become white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they will become white as white wool'.
He who speaks these words is the living Soul, who dwells within you. Where there is guilt, there must also be repentance. And where there is repentance in the only possible way, there is the Soul, to redeem and save. And likewise, it is the Soul who stands ready to embrace in love and joy hid brothers and sisters, who once fell and yet have been saved. Hence the words: 'There is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents'.
May you welcome this very ancient saying in an entirely new way, in the hermetic light, and may you draw from it the stimulus it contains.

"The Only-Begotten" - Part II

That is why the confessors of the Tri-Unity of the Light are Christo-centric. Indeed, they were so even tens of thousands of years before our era, before there was even any mention of Jesus of Nazareth. When the Holy Spirit descends in the form of a dove upon the head of Jesus and a voice is heard to say: 'This is my beloved Son in whom I am well-pleased', then this does not mean the nature-born human being called Jesus, as the whole of church christendom, deluded by theology, would have it. It means the Original Soul which, as the divine Son, as the only-begotten Son of God, is at that moment connected once again with the holy Seven-Spirit. In this only-begotten Son of God, in the human being who has been raised up in the Soul, what exists from the beginning has been made alive and real once again. And in this way, the person concerned is guided to his High and True Destiny.
You may be wondering why the Original Soul is called the only-begotten Son. Well, it is because only this blazing, living principle, this central heart, was created in the Original Microcosm, as the only and highest created thing, the 'principle unto life' generated by God: the only-begotten One.
The flame, which we also call the Rose-bud or Primordial Atom, exists in the Original Microcosm. So the only-begotten Son is potentially within you. This Divine Principle, anchored by the Logos in every microcosm, understands everything and is capable of manifesting itself: out of potential power, through active power and through the being of eternity, as Hermes puts it. Everything undertaken by the Original Soul can and will succeed. 'I can do all things', says Paul, the Soul-man, 'through Christ who gives me strength', the power of the Spirit. That is why the Son, when united with the Father, is the Power which cooperates with the Principle and in this way forms a Living Unity; it is the activity resulting from that union, which will always achieve its aim perfectly and without any difficulty whatsoever; and which, by its total freedom from every dualistic phenomenon, will lead the result of that activity, the everlasting One, the Being of Eternity, to its true destiny in timelessness.

So may we tell you in brotherly love to stop all your chatter! What you have to do is not talk but act, on the basis of a new attitude to life, arising from the central Soul-principle. That is why the confessors of the Tri-Unity of the Light are Christo-centric. Indeed, they were so even tens of thousands of years before our era, before there was even any mention of Jesus of Nazareth. When the Holy Spirit descends in the form of a dove upon the head of Jesus and a voice is heard to say: 'This is my beloved Son in whom I am well-pleased', then this does not mean the nature-born human being called Jesus, as the whole of church christendom, deluded by theology, would have it. It means the Original Soul which, as the divine Son, as the only-begotten Son of God, is at that moment connected once again with the holy Seven-Spirit. In this only-begotten Son of God, in the human being who has been raised up in the Soul, what exists from the beginning has been made alive and real once again. And in this way, the person concerned is guided to his High and True Destiny.
You may be wondering why the Original Soul is called the only-begotten Son. Well, it is because only this blazing, living principle, this central heart, was created in the Original Microcosm, as the only and highest created thing, the 'principle unto life' generated by God: the only-begotten One.
The flame, which we also call the Rose-bud or Primordial Atom, exists in the Original Microcosm. So the only-begotten Son is potentially within you. This Divine Principle, anchored by the Logos in every microcosm, understands everything and is capable of manifesting itself: out of potential power, through active power and through the being of eternity, as Hermes puts it. Everything undertaken by the Original Soul can and will succeed. 'I can do all things', says Paul, the Soul-man, 'through Christ who gives me strength', the power of the Spirit. That is why the Son, when united with the Father, is the Power which cooperates with the Principle and in this way forms a Living Unity; it is the activity resulting from that union, which will always achieve its aim perfectly and without any difficulty whatsoever; and which, by its total freedom from every dualistic phenomenon, will lead the result of that activity, the everlasting One, the Being of Eternity, to its true destiny in timelessness.

"The Only-Begotten"

We would now like to consider verses 16 and 17 of the thirteenth book of Hermes:
"Therefore, my son, I have at all times listened to the words of the Good Demon. If he had made them available in writing, he would have rendered a great service to the human race. He alone, my son, has spoken truly divine words, since he, as the first-born of God, recognize all things. Thus I once heard him say that all created things are one, and in particular the corporeal beings endowed with intellect; that we live out of potential power, through active power and through the essence of Eternity. That is why the Spirit, just like the Soul thereof, is good. Consequently, the things of the Spirit are undivided and the Spirit, which rules over all things and is the Soul of God, is capable of doing whatever it wills".
We would like to try explaining to you what Hermes means by these words. If we succeed, you may well see shining through them the entire compendium of the gnostic doctrine.
The voice of the 'Good Demon' is nothing less than the voice of the Original Soul. In the western world, the word 'demon' has adverse connotations, because the terms 'demon' and 'demonism' are associated with various evil forces and influences of nature. In antiquity, however, the word 'demon' was used simply to refer to a force or being of nature. The voice of the Good Demon, in our context, is nothing else than the voice of the Original Soul created within every microcosm, to whose voice Hermes says he has always listened.
Anyone endowed with a Soul functioning in a proper way, is capable of eluding all evil. So if we liberate the voice of The Good in our hearts, we will always have in our possession the weapon capable of leading us to freedom. The human race would benefit greatly if it knew this from within, but the heart of the person who allows himself to be led by his physical nature will close up; it petrifies, or as the Bible puts it, it becomes hardened, it grows 'fat'. Not because that person is objectionable, or because he should be totally negated as some yoga systems claim, but because he needs to be guided by the Spirit and the Soul. For the Original Soul is the first-born or only-begotten Son of God.
You may well be familiar with this expression, particularly if you have been brought up in the Christian church. 'Jesus Christ is the only-begotten Son of God' is what you were taught, isn't it? And over and over again the dogma was drummed into you that 'Jesus Christ is the only and absolute Son of the Father'.
As confessors of the Arch-Gnosis, we fully accept this. We believe in this absolutely one and consummate man: Jesus Christ and Him crucified. But we divest this ineffable divine truth of all theological and dogmatic fetters. We free it of all those fatal, ecclesiastical trusses because the Good Demon, the Original Pure Soul is, and has been from the beginning, the only-begotten Son of God.
When the dawn of the Universal Manifestation broke and the human life-wave was differentiated into myriads of microcosms, there was a blazing light present in each microcosm. This light was capable of self-realization: It was the only-begotten Son of God manifested in nature. It was the Good Demon or Original Soul.
Only through him, the only-begotten One, can you attain blessedness, completeness. There is no other way. So if you look far away, outside of yourself for that One, if you seek Him in some remote heavenly world, yes, then your vision will become distorted. Then you will be turning from what is within to what is outside. And if, with folded hands, you pray for help to this only-begotten One, whom your misguided vision tells you is sojourning in some heavenly domain or other, then that help cannot be given to you. The Christian revelation of salvation will then have been rendered entirely negative.
Knowing this, the Rosicrucians wholeheartedly confess with respect to the Bible that:
'Blessed is he who possesses it; more blessed is he who reads it; most blessed of all is he who understands it; while he is most equal to God who both understands and obeys it'.

Death Swallowed Up In Victory

We would like now to draw your attention to the last part of 1 Corinthians 15:
'I tell you this, brethren: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Lo! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the Last Trumpet. For the Trumpet will sound, for the perishable must put on the imperishable, and the mortal must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: 'Death is swallowed up in victory.' ' O, death, where is thy victory?' 'O, death, where is thy sting?'
You will of course have read this part of the Bible countless times and often heard it quoted. Perhaps you know it by heart, yet we feel we must emphatically draw your attention to it for, in this passage literally the same message as that proclaimed by the Spiritual School is imparted to all who wish to understand. The Spiritual School speaks so vigorously about these same things, because it concerns the Message of The End, the classic message about the end of every dualistic manifestation, when, at a given moment, the radiations of the New Life descend into time to envelop all who can be helped.
'Behold', says Paul, 'I tell you a mystery'. This word does not allude to a secret which must be kept at all costs. No, facts and realities are alluded to here which are secret and veiled for those totally submerged in nature. To them, the mystery will remain totally secret, even if one did everything to explain it to them in all frankness. They would be unable to solve the riddle, thus proving the saying: 'That which remains hidden to the wise and knowledgeable of this world is revealed to the Children of God'.
The mystery is unveiled to those who can understand that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God and that the perishable cannot inherit the imperishable. You ought to ask yourself if you understand it. Many people in this world, for instance, -- the greater part of the natural-religious people and those oriented towards the occult -- hold firm to the premise that the relationship between duality and Original Life is to be compared with the low and the high. That one can, from this nature, evolve and initiate oneself to the Original Life while preserving this nature, while maintaining one's consciousness. Not true. This is what Paul means by 'inherit': entering Original Life, 'An inheritance implies that I, as an heir, will receive something at a given moment. And so, too, I am on my way to this inheritance; I am growing, evolving towards it'.
You must, however, understand that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, that the perishable, duality, the nature-of-death cannot inherit the imperishable. Duality cannot pass into or be elevated to The Original.
If you clearly realize this, if you see through the nature of duality and your structural bond to it, if you know of an Immovable Kingdom, then you understand that everything belonging to this nature must be left behind. When, armed with such knowledge you profoundly hope and long for Liberation, knowing that the corruptible cannot inherit the incorruptible, then you, too can say: 'I cannot understand it, but I know the Path pointed out by the Spiritual School is correct and true and I can't go back, I want to go that Path'. When you know yourself to be in that state-of-being, the veil falls from the Mystery and everything becomes totally clear to you.
When an interested person comes in contact with the School, one of the first tasks is to explain to him or her the essence of the two orders of nature: the nature-of-death, in and of which we are; and of the Immovable Kingdom, in and of which we are not. If you comprehend the relationship between those natures and the gaping chasm separating them, then you are ripe to understand the Mystery of Salvation, to which Paul refers to in 1 Cor 15: 'for when you no longer try to evolute away from this world; when you no longer try to come to a solution in this nature, you are admitted by the Power of the Gnosis into a process of Change'. It says: in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the Last Trumpet. That means: at a clearly discernible moment, the Last Trumpet begins to sound.
A properly-tuned trumpet has a wonderful tone with an extraordinary penetrating capacity. When a good trumpeter plays on his own instrument, it can be very moving. The sound of the trumpet is used as a symbol for a remarkable vibration, which will gain power over the world via the Seven Schools. The vibration of this 'trumpet' is taken over by the apostles, prophets and teachers, by those holding these three offices. This vibration is sent forth via the faculties previously discussed for all who are able and wish to perish according to nature. When you no longer expect anything of this world and -- this not from dogma but through knowledge from within -- and you are entirely directed towards The Other Realm, then you will be touched by the vibration of The New Kingdom: then the Trumpet sounds for you. Then this Power enters into the permanent atom (the Spirit-spark atom, the Rose of the Heart), breaks into you and starts a process in your system. All who have been admitted to this process are changed, literally and bodily changed in this world-embracing stream of Power.
'How and in which respect?' you might ask. You have just heard it in Paul's words: The corruptible, the mortal, the finite, that which belongs to this nature-of-death, will put on the incorruptible. The corruptible cannot inherit the incorruptible but can put it on, that is to say, it is confronted with it, with clearly recognizable consequences, for all corruption in our microcosm must be attacked and destroyed, must totally vanish.
Many, as Paul says, will die, will lose the body by ordinary death during this process. But, free of all nature, they will pass to that vacuum to which we refer as the Vacuum of Shamballa. They will be free; those who have entered this process will be kept free of the entire reflection-sphere.
Should incidental death, the ordinary death of nature, come upon us in this situation, i.e., after having been admitted to the Process of Change, it will make no difference. The so-called 'dead' there, as Paul says, will be raised and the so-called 'living' here will be changed. In this raising from the top down and this change from the bottom up, the two groups will grow towards one another. And at a given moment all separation will disappear; the veils will be torn apart and we shall stand in one freedom and one brotherhood. Then the following words will become reality:
'Death is swallowed up in victory. Death, where is thy sting?'
Whoever stands in this process can jubilantly cry: 'Death no longer frightens me!'. When we stand in these manifold soundings of the Trumpet; when we can hear something of that miraculous concert, what does death matter to us? Are you afraid of death in that state-of-being? Is it not nonsense still to be afraid of it?
We do not console one another, as do the natural-religious masses in their delusion: 'Soon we shall meet again in heaven'. No, we say to one another: 'We shall meet in the New Field of Life!' From corruption, from the Grey Mists of Night, we arise renewed into the Light of Morning. This is our certainty.
For this reason we have discussed the faculties of the New Human Being. This is why we have called your attention to these faculties so that you may know that the time has come, that the Trumpet has sounded and you will say: 'I hear its sound!' And you will experience this positive certainty in your heart, the certainty of Knowing.
Therefore: 'Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the works of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain'. The raising of the dead and the Great Metamorphosis have commenced. The veils will soon rip apart and, with all the others, with all those liberated we shall be together in the New Field of Life. Brothers and sisters, the night will soon be over!

The fore-going presents the truth regarding "the resurrection" presented in the holy language, stripped of all mystification and veils.
There are two groups of people who are working towards Transfiguration: the 'living' and the 'dead'. Those who have awakened their Divine Spark during life and started upon The Path but have passed on (the 'dead'), continue that process after physical death, in the divine etheric realm called the Vacuum of Shamballa. Those of us now in the physical (the 'living') who have awakened the Divine Spark and are walking The Path in self-surrender, humility and service-to-others will undergo the Great Transformation when The Last Trumpet sounds during the Tribulations that are just over the horizon.
We are presently unable to view the etheric realm while conscious. During sleep, we get a confused glimpse of the lower etheric regions. The two regions are separated by what is called 'a veil'. However, the etheric realm and our physical realm are currently approaching one another. A fusion, of sorts, is about to take place. At a given moment in time, the physical and the etheric realms will merge. Those of us who are here in the physical will be able to see and touch those who have passed over to the etheric realms. We who are walking The Path will be re-united with all those who have walked it before us, an untold multitude.
If one begins walking the Path, in sincerity and humility, but is overtaken by the ordinary physical death before The Great Work can be completed, that one's work will not have been in vain. Beyond the veil, what man calls 'the other side', a region composed of divine ethers has been set aside for just such people. The Vacuum of Shamballa acts as a specially-prepared 'way-station', or 'safe-haven', that will allow the candidate to preserve the growth already made during physical life, and, mercifully, will enable the candidate to continue his or her progress towards Transfiguration while out of the dense physical body.
Do not say that you cannot be a part of what is about to happen, of what is happening. You can! And you will, if you but make the choice to forsake the pull of the natural world -- which is dying -- and set your focus upon the New World that is being Born and the coming New Human Race of which you are invited to join.

The True Path - Conclusion

Who and what is The New Man who arises from the Imperishable Seed? Who and what is The New Man, who is beckoning you from across the frontier you have reached? He is the Soul-man, who belongs to eternity, he is the one whose soul has been reborn.
The dualistic human being who walks the Path of the Endura is the last entity in that microcosm to fall prey to the realm of death. In the Gospels, he is called John. The Soul-man is the first man, the Jesus-man, who belongs to the Realm of Eternity.
The nature-born person who is willing to die the death of self-sacrifice for the Imperishable Seed within him, the person who is truly willing to be a Rosicrucian, passes through the gates of the voluntary death, via the alchemical transformation, into eternity. You will realize that there is much to be said on this subject, and that the candidate must know and experience a great deal before he can walk the sanctifying path of dying in Jesus the Lord. He must first walk the Way of the Cross with Roses, that magnificent path of sorrows. Yet, brothers and sisters, do not lose heart; never stop trying. Otherwise your mistakes will be innumerable and you will never know whether you are strong enough. And anyone who does not know, and is therefore unable to dedicate himself to the laws of the The Path, will be repeatedly misled by countless false lights and run the risk of becoming entirely lost to The Path. Remember the Biblical words: 'My people are lost for lack of knowledge'.
That is why the candidate who devotes himself to The Path of the Rose, the Path of Liberating Service, has to walk a sevenfold road. This road is described in-depth in The Alchemical Wedding of Christian Rosycross. It is the path of rebirth of The Original Man, a path that always leads through a valley of death. For rebirth to happen, something must die in order that something else -- something more noble. more sublime, more exalted -- might be given the opportunity to manifest itself. That is why this path is characterized not only by profound joy and new inner unfoldment, but also -- to a certain extent and only for a time -- by suffering and sorrow. However, it is the suffering of the Fire of Purification which destroys everything unholy and debased, in order to prepare a place for what is immaculate, pure and imperishable.
All those who perceive the distress and the suffering of mankind in these times, and experiences The Call going out from the Gnosis to the depths of his heart, will be unable to do otherwise than resolve to follow this sevenfold Path of Elevation and Service.
Countless multitudes have been taught from childhood on to seek the Kingdom of God, the realm of the Christ, outside themselves. In consequence, all the values, all the abilities present in them for the purpose of establishing this kingdom, flow away. In this way, as if in a warped mirror-image, they project outside themselves what should be established within them. This image has no reality, no life, but is the product of delusion.
The Light, the modern Spiritual School of the Gnosis, cries out to all of them: Turn around! Return to your True Path in life! You, too, can bring life to the Divine nuclear principle within you, the Rose of the Heart in your heart sanctuary. In you, too, the magical blood of renewal can perform the miracle of Rebirth.
The Path we are showing to you must not be sought outside yourself -- where you will only find delusion and clouds of mist -- but tun to the kingdom of God that is within you. Unlock this Divine world and set free The Immortal Man, the Soul-man in your heart, through your total, alchemical sacrifice. In the Rose you possess the key to that world.
May the impending world revolution be, for all of us, the Dawn of Attainment!

It can never be over-emphasized. There is something inside our microcosm that is immortal and divine. It is our job to awaken this Divine Seed and attach it to the undivine, nature-born human being. By dying to this nature and following the Path of the Gnosis, the undivine nature-born human will recede in influence. From the ashes of the dying natural man will arise the re-born Original Man. This is what lies behind the symbolism of the Phoenix, the Firebird.
The True Path of Life, if diligently followed in self-surrender, humility and service-to-others, will safely lead the candidate out of the darkness of this fallen nature-order and into the Divine Light of Eternity.

The True Path

We would now like to speak to those who are consciously preparing for the immediate future, in an awareness of all the coming events. We want to address those who possess a personality whose consciousness is focused upon the magnificent and glorious aim that lies at the foundation of our microcosm. That aim is to awaken from its sleep of death the last remnant of the Original Atom that lies sunken in the microcosm as an Imperishable Seed, and bring it to new life.
This Imperishable Seed in the center of the microcosm is the foremost thing that has been forgotten by present-day man. It is this seed of which the Bible says: "The Kingdom of God is within you", indeed, God Himself lies sunken within you. Having been misinformed for centuries, present-day mankind has forgotten that the Kingdom of God is not to be sought outside himself. And it goes without saying that if one seeks outside what is only present inside, one will never find, and will stray further and further. As a result one will fall all the more rapidly into the power of the anti-man within.
We call the last remnant of the Original Atom -- the Christ-principle in man -- the "Rose of the Heart". When the personality is born in the microcosm, the Rose of the Heart coincides with the heart of the personality, and it will be able to manifest itself therein, provided the necessary conditions are created. Thus the Rose is not a part the personality and cannot be pin-pointed in it organically. The Rose is an organic part of the microcosm, and it is always at the disposal of the personality that is prepared to accept its high calling, its one, true vocation, and to demonstrate his willingness with action. Then, as we put it, "the Rose is attached to the Cross", to the cross of the personality. The dynamic personality, properly orientated, then receives the seed-grain of renewal in the heart sanctuary and thus becomes a true Rosicrucian.
If a human being takes the decision to place his life in the service of his high, divine calling, and approaches The Path in humility, he comes into contact with the radiation-field of the Universal Gnosis. This exalted radiation-field is cosmic in nature, and in it the Divine Seed, the Last Remnant, can grow and flourish. It is impossible for the Imperishable Seed to germinate in the field of degenerated duality. Anyone who remains in that field and goes on absorbing himself in it so that it claims all his attention will perish; he will go the way of all flesh. Such a person can never be called a Rosicrucian; he can never, with C.R.C., be a Brother of the Red Rosycross.
All who wish to walk the true Path of Liberation need the Light of the gnostic sun, the sunlight, the solar power radiating from the heart of our planet. And yet, the personality of the person who has to carry the Divine Seed to the Light, who must serve and help the Rose for such a long time, is entirely of this dualistic nature. So it is the person of whom it is said: "Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God" and thus cannot enter it, who must begin to accomplish The Great Work.
This is quite a marvelous situation, is it not? So marvelous that anyone who fully fathoms its significance is, as it were, shot through with joy and gratitude The human being who has fastened the Rose to the Crosss, has temporarily connected duality and the Gnosis, time and eternity. This is clearly a scientific impossibility, a state that cannot be maintained. For that reason, the dualistic personality will devote himself to this impossibility, by serving totally the Rose of the Heart, the Imperishable Seed in him. His devotion and service will be so complete that he begins to prepare himself to die the alchemical death of self-surrender. He fulfills the words: "He who is willing to lose his life for My sake, shall find the life". The person who dedicates himself in this way, in total-surrender to the Rose, enters transfiguration. It is the process exemplified by many Brotherhoods in the past.
The dualistic human being who thus devotes himself to the immortal Rose of the Heart, knows that he is entering a radiation-field which is not his. He knows that he will be totally consumed by it. So he dedicates himself to the Fire, to the Divine Flame of Purification. Realize the mighty significance, the profound meaning of all those stories about this, which have been handed down to us from the past! For it is just this that is so wonderful: that if we dedicate our entire mortal being to the Divine Fire, that fire means Life for us.
A dualistic person who remains true to his nature, goes the way of death. Eventually, nothing will be left of him. But anyone who walks the path of the endura, in total self-sacrifice, in complete devotion to the Original Man in him, is alchemically integrated into the New Man, Through the fire of his Way of the Cross, he merges alchemically with the new human being that arises from the Imperishable Seed. He is resurrected in the Other One. And in him unfolds a true, alchemical wedding, just like the one C.R.C. describes. His voluntary perishing, his endura, is thus a death unto life, a resurrection into Imperishability, in contrast to dualistic death which is inescapably accompanied by the total destruction of nature.

It is a bit ironic that it is the undivine human personality that must undertake the task of returning the microcosm to the divine Original, True Man. When viewed in this way, we can understand why the task is so difficult and why so few, relatively speaking, have been able to follow The Path to its completion.
However, it can be done. It has been done, and it shall be done again, by those souls who have matured by way of the hard experience of repeated incarnations in the world of sorrows. The process will continue in the ages to come, until all divine sparks have completed the Great Work and returned Home.

Atomic Power, Divine Potential
The Rosebud, the Original Atom, the Divine-Spark we carry within our microcosm is not composed of any of the elements of this nature-order. It is a purely divine Atom, and as such, is made of divine materials. When we, as microcosms, fell to this dense, physical plane, this Original Atom came with us. Unfortunately, because it was a divine force in an undivine universe, it was unable to manifest itself, and so, fell into latency. It is like lighting a candle and then placing it under a vacuum. Without oxygen, the flame cannot burn.
Latency. What does that mean?

1. present but not visible, apparent, or actualized; existing as potential: latent ability.
The seed of an oak tree has within it everything that it needs to grow into a mighty oak. The image of the adult oak, its attributes and its characteristics are all contained within that tiny little seed. However, without water and fertile soil, it will remain in latency and eventually be whisked away by the wind or plucked up by the birds.
Our Spirit-Spark atom can also be likened to a seed. This Primordial Seed contains all of the power and potential of the Divine Universe from which it originates but it is unable to release these while under the crushing weight of duality. We are the ones who provide the soil. We are the ones who must water this Seed. The soil is our heart. The water is the Living-Water of the Christ, the Gnosis. We are the gardeners. This Divine Seed needs our help if it is to begin the growth process. If we are diligent in our duty a mighty miracle of Rebirth will result.
We all know that when an atom is split it releases tremendous power. We have the atomic and hydrogen bombs as our evidence. Think of it! Tiny little atoms, when forced to split, release energies of such magnitude that entire worlds can be destroyed and solar systems disturbed. Where does this power come from? What is the atom holding within?
As one of the smallest units of life, all atoms are closer to Primordial Matter than the creations that are constructed from them. At the heart of this undivine nature-order are Divine forces. These Divine forces have been diverted and stepped-down to serve the aeons of this nature. We only get a glimpse of the power of these forces when man decides to use them for destructive ends.
Entombed within your Divine-Spark are intelligent, creative energies more powerful than anything you can imagine. If you allow the Aquarian radiations, the Gnosis, to touch this Primordial Atom, something wonderful will happen! Once it has been contacted by a ray of like-vibration, your Spirit-Spark Atom will begin to respond. It will attempt to do what was once natural for it. It will begin to unfold and manifest itself. Of course, it will be attempting to accomplish a divine transformation in an undivine world. Because of this, it will need a special place in which to complete this metamorphosis. That is the purpose of The Thirteenth Aeon: to provide a Divine safe haven for those who wish to accomplish this feat.
This is the reality underlying the legend of alchemy, the myth of "turning base metals into gold". This is "The Great Work" that all those who walk The Path in humility and self-surrender are trying to accomplish. They recognize that this world is not their home. They recognize that they were born into this world as image-bearers of The Original True Man, and that their mission is to make it possible for that divine Other One to live again. From out of the muck of this fallen nature-order they will weave "the Golden Wedding-Garment", man's new Light-Vesture. For those who have chosen to "sell all that they have" and to follow the Path of the Christ, may you all be led to The Good End.

The Spiritual School - Lectorium Rosicrucianum
Where to begin?
All seekers travel in the same direction via different roads. The events and circumstances that have led you to your current stage of seeking will not be the same as the person next to you. However, that which is being sought is the same for all of us.
We may not be aware that we are in pursuit of the same objective, but we are. Unfortunately, during the pursuit, we will find that we have to, as they say, "kiss a lot of frogs" along the way before we find our Prince or Princess.
Religion. Cabala. Theosophy. Occultism. Mysticism. Eastern exercises. Yoga. Rosicrucianism...
...ah, yes. Rosicrucianism.
There are scores of western groups that claim to be "rosicrucian". Most of them are either frauds, in error, or have crystallized in their teachings. Beware, for not all ships fly the same flag, nor do they carry the same cargo. The Order of the Rosycross was founded in 14th century Europe. It did not 'invent' any new teachings, it carried forth the flame of the Universal Doctrine that is as old as this universe. Those who had watched over the flame prior to that time, the Cathars of southern France, had been persecuted nearly to extinction by the Popes of the medieval Roman church.
From age to age, the Flame, the Torch, is passed. The Universal Wisdom remains the same. It is only the caretakers, the messengers, who change.
For the age that we live in, those caretakers can be found in the International School of the Golden Rosycross. The School goes by the official name of Lectorium Rosicrucianum (LRC). The organization was co-founded in 1924 by Jan van Rijckenborgh. As the name suggests, it is an international group, active in 36 countries. A weak radiating is caused in the heart by this Touch, and this appeals to the dualistic consciousness which reacts to this with a state of disquiet, as we have discussed repeatedly. By this continuous impulsion of the dualistic being, the dualistic consciousness is invited, so to speak, to follow the suggestions, the voice, of the Original Atom.
The dualistic consciousness does not know that, of course. It has no idea that there is any such thing as an Original Atom. It is so used to experimenting and speculating in its imperfect undivine world, and it is such a fortune-hunter, driven by circumstances, that it thinks it is acting completely out of its own initiative. It is completely egocentric and yet the ego, in fact, is being led. No doubt it is clear to you that no Rosebud-carrier escapes this gnostic impulsion.
Under the power of this influence, that whole sequence of events develops which you know so well, because you yourself have experienced or still do. You know those mad whirls of the dualistic ego in its interests directed this way: reading piles of books -- attending many meetings -- attending seances -- having discussions and joining movements and societies -- pondering until we go around the bend and always drifting between hope and fear -- or resisting that inner calling voice with everything that is in us -- and playing the firmly-convinced person -- and acting as if we are 'initiated' and 'called'! In short, this is all the well-known carrying-ons of tens of thousands of people.
You may know the example of the well from which the lid is removed. The sun shines into it and this causes the insects to wriggle and flutter and scurry about in a great whirl. You know all this!
This seeking and fluttering can last a long time, a life-long time! Until a great inner exhaustion comes. The cause of this is that the aural being of the higher self is at the end of its tether. In all the experimentation of the personality during this period, the higher self tries to retain the initiative and leads the lower self everywhere to satisfy its hunger. It is a case of 'stones for bread', but as long as the ego bites, there is a certain satisfaction.
But now, after a longer or shorter time, there comes a moment when the ego has finished biting and the magnetic system of the aural being or higher self is no longer capable of giving satisfaction. Then the higher self has become weary; there is a weakening of the light in the dualistic firmament and hence, a recognizable magnetic disturbance. Not only the Primordial Atom radiates a new light, but a corresponding light-field in the aural being is seized and vivified by the gnostic magnetic field.
From this moment on a magnetic ray bores into the head-sanctuary at a place in the mid-brain, and as soon as this point is seized, the adrenal glands receive a vigorous impulse; from the mid-brain (the mid-brain controls the kidneys and the adrenal glands) a new energy flows into the body and the ego begins to react positively to the Call of the Gnosis for the first time.
At this moment this person has become ripe for the second field of radiation of the Gnosis, seen from the outside inwards. And in that second field the pupil for the first time comes into contact with the Spiritual School.
The person concerned has probably already known the Spiritual School in his first period, and may have entered it, but then he knew it simply as he would know any other given movement or society. Only in the second period will he know it from within and in a totally different way. Then he will love and serve it so ardently and incessantly that he will never let go of it. The pupil then already experiences the foretaste of the 'Homecoming'.
We hope profoundly that you can already speak of this experience.

As long as we continue to think that we know it all, or that we have found 'the system', we will remain lost in darkness. Only when we reach the end of our tether, when we tire of the endless hopeless chase for the Truth in natural occult, mystical, religious or cultural groups, will we become receptive to a Light that is not-of-this-world. If, in deep humility and self-surrender, we allow ourselves to follow this Light, what has been Hidden shall be revealed. The Door that was closed shall be opened unto us.

Contact With The Spiritual School

We have tried to make you familiar with the idea of more than one universe being enclosed in one spatial image. It is not correct to suppose, therefore, that some other universe may might perhaps be so far removed from us that we could not detect it even with the strongest astronomical telescopes. More than one universe exists in the same space, if we were to describe it three-dimensionally.
As dualistic people, we have a world image and we belong to a universe. All that our strongest telescopes can discern and all that lies beyond their reach, the entire unfathomable space belongs to the universe of death. That is to say, it belongs to a state in which the laws of duality control everything. That is a state of rising, shining, and fading; a state characterized by life and death, by incessant change with all the accompanying causes and consequences.
The universe to which we belong is maintained by a certain electromagnetic law and by a differentiated gravitational law that operates within a certain group of possibilities. By these laws, the whole of it is held together; all the things in it belong together, are dependent on each other, and influence each other.
The earth is thus influenced by the solar system and by the zodiac. Itself a unit, it is incorporated into increasingly larger units, until we can view the whole universe as one unit.
And this universal unit is based on one idea. The whole of it is the activity of that idea. An idea is, and generates, a vibration that moves root substance and demonstrates an activity and a manifestation. The activity is the magnetic field; the manifestation of it is the revealed universe.
The fundamental idea causes hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and carbon to form and be released in various compounds, and atoms are forced to split and to join and combine in certain ways into elements.
We have told you that the idea underlying our universe is recognizably and demonstrably undivine. This can be recognized and demonstrated by the activity and the manifestation of the idea. Consequently, we can deduce from this that there must be another universe which is based on another Idea: a divine Idea. This Idea therefore has another activity and another manifestation, another etheric configuration and hence a totally different nature in principal and in result.
This other universe needs no other space but simply another idea and hence another magnetic field. Two different magnetic fields can express their totally different manifestations in one and the same space without one manifestation being able to perceive the other. At most, the two magnetic fields can disturb each other when, in some way, their creatures have something to do with each other.
It is known to us that a number of the creatures of our universe initially belonged to the Divine Universe. This does not refer to their present manifestation, for that is completely of this nature, but there was another manifestation, of which only one single rudiment remains. It is a Primordial Atom with a latent magnetic system in the aural being. This magnetic system has fallen asleep as it were, while another magnetic system is now in force in the aural being.
It is clear that when we possess an Original Atom, a Rose in the heart, which once flowered in wondrous beauty in that other Universe, we will consequently have a certain susceptibility to the Divine magnetic field. Our microcosmic field can therefore be disturbed by the Divine cosmic field, and it is clear that as we individually and collectively belong to the dualistic universe, we pass on that disturbance to the entire dualistic cosmos. We are partly of the Divine nature and partly of the nature-of-death. Thus, there is no alternative but that both magnetic fields disturb each other.
The Bible expresses this mystically, for example, in the remarks 'God does not forsake the work of His hands' and 'He sends His Son to save what is lost'. Every pupil will understand that when he possesses a Rosebud in the heart and so is a lost son of the Gnosis, he will undergo influences from the outermost radiation-field of the Divine universe.
When a person not only simply undergoes this effect, but consciously experiences and recognizes it, he stands bodily and absolutely in the outer courtyard of the Gnosis. This outer radiation-field of the Gnosis is unmistakeably magnetic, but not to the degree that it could be catastrophic. That would not achieve any success because, at most, the Primordial Atom, as the Original Principle, could be attracted and torn out of the sunken microcosmic system. And that is certainly not the intention. The intention is that the sunken system voluntarily surrenders itself in transfiguration. The sunken system in its entirety must become a Divine system again and return to the Divine universe. For this reason, the outer radiation-field can be compared to a Touch, a Call, a silent beckoning, without any force or compelling magnetic attraction.

There are two universes. One Divine, one undivine. We are living in the wrong one. We have lost the ability to perceive the Divine Universe and can presently only experience this one. This means that right where you stand there are events taking place that you cannot see, hear or feel, yet these events are closer than hands and feet.
You are asked to give serious contemplate to this revelation, for it is the key to everything.
There is only one way to "switch over" to the Divine universe that is currently beyond our ability to sense. We must develop sense-vehicles that are in resonance with this Other universe, and that is the purpose of Transfiguration: to replace the undivine human personality with the Divine "Other One".
The Spiritual School exists to help any and all to become aware of this situation and to offer guidance to whoever is sincerely ready to walk The Narrow Path to freedom.

Be Not Misled

When some occult brotherhood wants to exert a hierarchical influence of a practical nature on humanity, this always occurs with a magnetic field as a basis and we should understand, therefore, that there are many magnetic fields in our sphere of existence.
A large number of nets are cast into the human sea to catch souls. You need only to call to mind the Tibetan influences that go out over the world, or some churches that also maintain such a field by their magic system. We can say with certainty, therefore, that a large number of influences are being exerted on us and also that many magnetic influences completely parody the magnetic field of the Universal Brotherhood.
Is this not a cause for alarm? Could we not be misled? No, deception is completely out of the question for a serious seeker because, according to universal magnetic laws, every magnetic field is forced at a certain point to reveal itself as to its true nature. If this revelation were to reveal something that is completely in conflict with the fundamental nature of the candidate, he can always withdraw from the influence of that magnetic field and neutralize his initial interest. For this reason, revelation is not only an expansion of consciousness but also a test, a means of control.
A revelation proves to us the truth and the true nature in regard to the essential force of the magnetic field concerned. There is no human being who is unconsciously being victimized. All that is said about this is, for the largest part, nonsense. When a spirit-spark entity truly seeks liberation, he can fully test spirits as to whether they are of the Gnosis. He can apply his means of control.
Every magnetic field is forced to reveal itself if this is wanted. If this does not occur, this means the revelation is not wished for, and the person concerned will feel extraordinarily comfortable in the elementary radiation of some influence. He is allowing himself to be led into confusion by the messengers who come forth from the magnetic field. A characteristic of such messengers is that they require their followers to believe in handed-down teachings and decrees, which are represented as being divine and beyond question. The teachings form a barrier, as it were, against serious investigation.
In order to satisfy the leanings towards knowledge, a science is invented. Students are required to learn the dogmas by heart in Greek and Latin. Thus, a study of Greek and Latin is a necessity. They need to delve into other ancient languages and to find out what many other authors have said about the scriptures and creed. But 'revelation' remains far beyond their grasp, for their revelation consists of words and intellectual knowledge, gathered by themselves.
May we ask you, reader: is your conviction based on the contents of your bookcase or on the intellectual content of your brains? If so, this is your own fault, for you have allowed yourself to be victimized by the influence of some magnetic field of ordinary nature. You were prevented from obtaining revelation.
Let us now return to the beginning. Whoever is filled with that immeasurable longing through faith in the Gnosis, by means of the previously described process, is conducted to 'revelation'. Because of his harmonious relationship to the Gnosis, such a candidate penetrates through to the point at which the nucleus of the magnetic field begins to manifest itself, unfold itself, declare itself to him.
In the Revelation of John, this is represented as a confrontation of the candidate by Him who is the first and the last, the True Original Man. He, the candidate, is not that New Man yet, not by a longshot! But He is shown to him, very personally. Can you see the difference between revelation and knowledge now?
You should observe, however, that such a revelation is not one single event, but this process provides an unceasing series of such revelations. It can happen that suddenly something so mighty, so glorious begins to unfold before you that you stammer, 'What a revelation!' And then you are speechless with gratitude. And, like the disciples on the Mount of Olives in the Pistis Sophia, you feel yourself to be blessed beyond all men.
Indeed, this revelation-consciousness is the Jupiter-consciousness, which some mention as being ours in the distant future. But you can attain it in the present, if only you will go the Path as described to you!

If one is seeking the Gnosis, the absolute Truth of things, with all of one's heart, then one's state-of-being is going to reflect the earnestness of that seeking (or lack of same). This manifests as a magnetic vibration within and without the seeker that carries a certain signature. If one finds oneself attracted to a group or organziation, it will become known soon enough whether the group does indeed have what one is seeking.
How can one tell? At some point, the group will reveal itself for what it is. Then, the magnetic vibration of the group will clash with that of the seeker. The seeker will begin to experience a sense of disquiet, a feeling of "this is not IT". If he heeds this signal, he will withdraw from the group and move on.
On the other hand, if the seeker does not feel a sense of disquiet, if he does not experience this inner magnetic conflict, that would indicate that the seeker is in resonance with what is being presented to him. That is where his heart lies. No one forced him to study yoga, or reiki, or churchianity, dead religions or dead philosophies. If it was not what that one wanted, an incompatibility of vibration would have made it difficult for him or her to remain interested.
So, again, we are shown that no one can truly mislead us if we learn to listen to the Silent Voice within us. If a teaching doesn't feel right, then it isn't, pure and simple. We possess the method of control when it comes to navigating the spiritual supermarket of groups, schools and organizations claiming to have 'the truth'. Remember that as we go forward.
