The Global Malaise

This is a symptom of our times. In this respect, we feel that pupils of the School are no different from other people Outside the School, too -- all over the world, in fact -- this general deterioration can be observed. The state we have entered into now was predicted several years ago in the modern Spiritual School. Pupils were warned about it again and again.
Why were they warned? What can one do about it? As nature-born human-beings aren't we all threatened by the same dangers?
No, you were warned repeatedly because there is something you can do about it! But one of the difficulties of these times is that people do not listen well and understand so poorly. Moreover, people forget very quickly. Everything we are telling you today, you could well have forgotten entirely by tomorrow, not intentionally, not because you are primitive, but because what you hear, you repress!
The atmosphere in which we live has changed. The Great Game is being played! You observe how world events are affected by the Great Game, how they correspond to the unmasking*. But do you observe how the Great Game has already begun with respect to you?
A general sickening, weakening of all mankind has begun. We announced this well beforehand so that you would not be victimized by it. All these complaints show that all are being swept along in the mighty current of destruction. Coughing and sneezing, anemic and laden with all kinds of symptoms, we are carried along by the current, unable to resist. Uneasiness and despondency prevail wherever you look. People are asking themselves: "Where is all this going to lead? What is going on?"

Question: what is the clear understanding presented by LRC concerning the Demiurge? This is my greatest obstacle in understanding of this path so far.

The focus of the LRC is to help Seekers (those who are ready) to understand the doctrine of Transfiguration and the requirements necessary to walk the Path leads to that Good End, the Path of Return.
Undue importance is not placed on things such as knowing the origin or identity of the demiurge because even if one were to know and understand such things, what good would it serve? One would still be lost, trapped in the material creation, the nature-of-death. Having knowledge of such concepts is not in itself liberating. Be that as it may, an answer will be given.
As a gnostic Spiritual School, the LRC does not invent any doctrines or dogma. Its teachings are rooted in the same gnostic truths that have been with humanity since the dawn of time. Therefore, what is about to be written is not the exclusive property or product of LRC. It is a product of the Universal Doctrine, a truth which is unchanging. The ancient gnostics transmitted this to mankind as follows:
There is the All, The Ineffable, the Unknowable. The Ineffable emanated from Itself a series of pairs of Aeons of Light. One of the last of these Aeons of Light (Sophia) erred when, through self-will, it attempted to create without the assistance of her pair. What she created was referred to as an "abortion". The name given to it was Yaldabaoth, also known as Samael ("blind god"), also known as Sakla. This is the Chief Ruler (or Archon) of the Chaos. This is the "jealous god" of the Old Testament. This is the creator of the fallen universe that we are now floundering in. It is also referred to as the "prince of this world".
Although the so-called demiurge is an entity of vast power, its power is limited to the physical creation that issued from it. It is not the Ineffable, the One True God. It is an imposter, one that erroneously believes that "there are no other gods" before it.
In addition, it would not be accurate to characterize the demiurge as evil. It is just without gnosis ("true knowledge of God"). Even so, it does serve a great purpose in the Divine Plan of Salvation as the physical plane is required as a place where the damaged microcosms of this human life-wave can regain their former immortal status.
Remember, although interesting and sometimes useful, earthly intellectual knowledge means very little. It is the Inner Understanding, the silent communication between the Rose of the Heart and the Gnosis, that means everything.
