Worth A Thousand Words

“We are placing you before the imperishable Gnosis, which has as its starting point the idea that the Divine Spirit is held captive in the world of the senses and that, consequently, it is necessary to rise up out of this prison, out of this imprisoned Soul-man. In this way, the Original Spirit-Man can be united with the Primary Source of All Things, by means of insight, professing, and striving.”

—J. van Rijckenborgh and Catharose de Petri, The Great Revolution (1989)

I have read when you receive a blood transfusion your thinking sometimes change to the donors thoughts. Some states in the USA did not want gays to donate blood because of the above. Could you give us your thoughts on this g?

Anonymous,

I've not read of the transfusion thing, but have read the following:

"The Blood is a most peculiar essence." -- Mephistopheles in Faust

The blood is the vehicle of the I-being. It enables the "I" to express itself through the physical body. Its relationship to Thought is as follows:

The vibrations of one's thoughts are stepped-down and passed from the mental body to the astral body. The vibrations of the astral body are stepped-down and passed to the vital body (the etheric double). The etheric double is the matrix for the physical body. It passes its vibrations on to the blood which carries those vibrations to the entire physical body. One can see from this cascading process that the physical body is ultimately the result of one's Thinking. One should also be able to see that the blood is a vehicle, it carries and transports precious cargo.

There is also an ancestral aspect that enables vibrations to be passed from generation to generation. One gets one's blood from one's parents, who received their blood from their parents, and so on. Thus, there is the mixture of the thinking and experiences of one's ancestors present today in the blood. This shines a light on why, in the distant past, tribes, clans and racial groups were insistent upon not mixing the blood. The more that the blood was kept "in the family", so to speak, the easier it was for ancestors to 'speak' through one's blood. In ancient times there was the custom of "mixing blood" in order to effect a unity. Two parties would cut themselves on the hand, press their hands together and allow their blood to mingle. In more modern times, we have seen the efforts of races and nations to "keep the blood pure" manifest in activities that were, shall we say, extremely anti-social.

What would it take to enable a blood transfusion to affect the mind or the subtle bodies of the recipient of donated blood? Is it a matter of quantity, of how much blood was transfused? Is it a matter of quality, a matter of the strength of the personality of the blood donor? Is it the susceptibility of the recipient to alien influences in the blood? I do not know. Is it possible for the blood of one person to have an effect on someone else? I believe the evidence points to yes. To what degree or duration, again, i do not know.

The blood is the vehicle of the mortal soul. It is charged with the energies of the past and present, and is specific to the personality to which it belongs. It would be a mistake to believe that we can transfer blood fluid from one personality to another and that the transaction would not have any sort of effect.
