Karma: Nothing Personal, Just Business
A man commits a murder, killing an innocent young girl in an unspeakable manner. He is apprehended, brought to trial, convicted, sentenced to life in prison or death at the hands of the state. Although he has paid his debt to society, a larger Unpaid Debt remains outstanding.
The man dies, and transitions to the reflection-sphere. Depending on how much the microcosmic personality learned during the just-completed earth-life, he will re-incarnate as either a monster destined to kill again, or as one who has learned the folly of murder and will care for life while in the physical.
Life follows life. The microcosm generates successive personalities of a more refined nature. The killer of thousands of years ago no longer exists, the desire to harm others has been erased from the microcosm.
At some point, the microcosm generates a personality of great beauty. A little girl, innocent and pure. When the little girl is ten years old, she is murdered in an unspeakable manner. The horror is imprinted upon the microcosm.
The Unpaid Debt has been repaid.
From the outside, we see a tragedy of tremendous proportions. If we could see from the Inside, we would recognize the workings of a Great Law. All imbalances must be balanced. All wrongs must be righted. No matter how long it may take.
Be mindful of the Causes that you set in motion during this life, for the Effects shall surely be reaped in some future life.

Does the auric being control the direction of the life of a personality or the karma in the microcosm?
I recently watched an interesting TV show called The OA where a girl ends up in the reflection sphere and is "guided", I would say controlled, by an auric type of being. A small bit of revealing but only skimming the truth that is not easy to understand for most.
At the time of the next harvest, if a personality has managed to awaken and set of on the path, would the karma of this soul be 'reset' or eradicated so to speak?

re: auric-being
The auric-being (also known as the lipika) is the terrestrial "higher self". This nature-born higher self is not a divine being. The auric-being is the sum total of all the experiences, attributes and powers that have been incurred by the many personalities that have inhabited the microcosm. These things are not lost when the personality withdraws from physical manifestation. They are stored within the auric-being.
To answer your question, yes, the auric-being does "direct" the personality to a great extent. It is man's "satan" or adversary, insofar as it is allowed to be. If the terrestrial higher self can be encouraged to "turn around", it can also direct the personality in a positive and uplifting way. It is we who have the ability to turn the tables and control this mighty being. It will be good when we are good, and evil if we choose the road of darkness. Those who walk the Path are in the process of obtaining control over the auric being for the glory of the Gnosis.
This terrestrial higher self is a mighty auric entity. Remember, it contains all of the powers and abilities achieved by all the personalities previously generated by the microcosm. So, if a personality was a dark or white magician, priest, priestess, or healer back in ancient Atlantis, those talents have not been lost. They remain latent in the auric-being, accessible if or when the personality can make a connection with the terrestrial higher self.
Many times when people report having had visitations from so-called "higher beings", in truth they are simply experiencing a negative contact with their terrestrial higher self. Therese Neumann gained wide renown for her visions and stigmata. In reality, she had established a negative contact with her terrestrial higher self.
Re: reflection-sphere beings
In the reflection-sphere, the personality (minus the physical body) is at the mercy of all sorts of entities, both malevolent and benevolent. The trick is trying to determine who is who. The main key is that any being who attempts to control, coerce, compliment or manipulate you is not of Light. This applies to physical existence as well. The dark brothers and even some "light-spirits" always want to exert some sort of control over whomever they can. Those who are true emissaries of Light respect the Law of Free Will and will never try to make an entity do anything that the entity does not wish to do.

another good question.
There is a Law which states that the karma that one develops must be balanced on the plane of existence in which the karma was incurred. That is why we repeatedly return to earth, because we have earth-plane karma that needs to be dealt with.
Because a new personality is generated approximately one every 1,000 years and our microcosm have thousands of incarnations behind us in the millions of years that have passed, each personality is saddled with a tremendous amount of karma at the beginning of each new incarnation. The situation has gotten very bad, and threatens to prevent anyone from escaping the physical plane.
However, the greatest and most important thing about the Harvest is that there is Grace for all those who take advantage of this Divine opportunity. Those who can achieve the Greater Harvest (Liberation from the Earth-plane) will have their karma erased and will never be required to return to the physical plane. Those who achieve the Lesser Harvest will also have their karma erased, but will have to return to the physical plane at some future time and make a fresh attempt at achieving the Greater Harvest (Final Liberation).
During that return to the physical plane, there is always the possibility that fresh karma will be accumulated, due to the Veil of Forgetfulness. The entity will have to do its best to locate the Path and try once again to follow it to The Good End. This is why it is best to shoot for the Greater Harvest now, while this wonderful opportunity is in front of us!! That is why The Call is being sounded, and will continue to be sounded, right up until the Last Moments.
