The Cathars - Part 2

In brief, the following will attempt to outline what the Church of Rome was up against in dealing with the formidable rival that had overtaken the South of France in the late 12th century.

Council after Council is held and condemns 'the errors of the heretics', and particularly those of Southern France who, from the Council of Tours onwards, are known as 'Albigenses'. This name simply means the people of the ecclesiastical province of Albi, for it was natural for the Church to distinguish such movements according to their geographic distribution in the ecclesiastical provinces.

The position in Southern France was indeed at this time most serious from the point-of-view of the Church. Elsewhere, the movements of revolt had sooner or later burned themselves out or succumbed before the hostility of the well-organized forces of Church and State. But in Southern France at this critical moment, when people were aspiring to a more ardent Christianity, not only did the Roman Church seem to have lost all sense of its mission, but a rival Church, claiming equal, or rather superior Apostolic authority, was undertaking a systematic effort at conversion, and by the second half of the 12th century had virtually displaced the Church of Rome as the recognized vehicle of Christian revelation throughout Languedoc. This movement was Catharism, by far the most important of the anti-Catholic movements of the period.

Catharism was no spontaneous popular movement called into being by the haphazard inspiration of visionary enthusiasts or chance reformers; it was a definitely organized Church with a distinctive rite of admission and a trained priestly caste. It claimed to be nothing less than the true Church of Christ, its orders handed down in unbroken succession from the Apostles and retaining the power, which the false Church of Rome  had lost or never possessed, of 'baptizing with the Holy Spirit and with Fire'. Against this stupendous claim and the success of its ministers the Catholic Church found itself obliged to mobilize all its resources, finally raising against it a Crusade which was pursued more relentlessly than any against the Saracen infidel, and then creating an Inquisition to hunt down Cathars to the last man, even in the trackless valleys and impenetrable caves of the Pyrenees, never resting until it was satisfied that the last of them had been exterminated.

To understand why Catharism was successful in drawing adherents away from the Roman Church, we have the following:

To explain the success of Catharism against Catholicism in 12th century Languedoc, all that is necessary is to compare the picture of practical Christianity presented by the two Churches to an age avid for a vital religion. For the Roman, we cannot do better than a quote from Pope Innocent III himself, the very Pope who would call down the Crusade against the 'Albigenses':

"Simoniacs who sell justice, absolve the rich and condemn the poor. They do not keep even the laws of the Church. They accumulate benefices and entrust the priesthood and ecclesiastical dignities to unworthy priests and illiterate children. Hence, the insolence of the heretics; hence the contempt of nobles and people for God and His Church. In this region, prelates are the laughing stock of the laity...the Archbishop of Narbonne knows no other God than money, his heart is a bank".

In contrast to this was the life and character of the Cathars, whose name means 'Pure' from the Greek Katharos. This name was strictly applied only to those who had received the Consolamentum or Baptism of the Spirit. These alone formed the Church, and they acted as ministers of religion to the mass of people who were simply 'Credents' or Believers. The true Cathari were usually called Perfecti or Parfaits by the Catholics, while to their own followers they were known simply as the 'Good Men' or the 'Good Christians'. Their aim above all was to live the Pure Life in strict obedience to the teachings of The Christ. Renouncing all worldly possessions they devoted themselves not only to an active ministry of preaching, but to healing the sick, teaching the young, and aiding the people even in their manual labor, asking nothing in return. They travelled the country indefatigably, carrying no money, seeking no reward save the joy of winning souls for Christ, shirking no sacrifice and subjecting themselves to the most rigid asceticism.

The Church tried persuasion, debate and excommunication (where not only was one kicked out of the the Catholic Church but one's goods, possessions and lands could be declared forfeit by the Church...declared forfeit!!). They even went so far as to try and emulate the Cathars by creating an order of monks Cistercian)who would take on poverty and walk the countryside preaching Catholicism, in imitation of the Cathari.

Every one of these measures failed to produce the desired result. And on this planet, we all know that where Persuasion fails, Force cannot be far behind.

The Cathars - Part 1

It is not widely known but there was a time when the Catholic Church was threatened with irrelevance and possible extinction. Today, this organization has over a billion "followers" and reigns as the number one religion on the planet, to the spiritual detriment of all of humanity. But there was a time early in its history when it trembled in fear of an upstart, a rival. These were a group of true , gnostic Christians who, by their unassailable example of living, were able to attract many believers and draw tens of thousands of Catholics away from the Roman Church.

This group was called The Cathars.

The name Cathar originates from the Greek word katharoi, meaning "pure". The Cathars were called "the Pure Ones", a reference not only to their way of life, but to their adherence to the original and true teachings of the Christ.

This group managed to convert the whole of the  Languedoc primarily by the soundness of their beliefs and the transparent honesty of their lives. The people responded to these "good men" who walked amongst them in poverty and humility. The Cathars stood in stark contrast to the ostentatious wealth and pretentiousness of the orthodox church.The Roman Church, at that time only 700 years old, recognized that the movement represented a clear and present danger to the comfortable racket they had enjoyed un-opposed for centuries.

It was this realization that inexorably led to a great confrontation that has been neatly expunged from the history books and left the Catholic Church drenched in blood up to its shoulders that can never be washed away.

"During the eleventh and twelfth centuries, the region known as the Languedoc, spreading approximately southward from the Loire to the Pyrenees down into Arragon and eastward to the Rhone, became the most highly civilized area of Western Europe. Its fertile soil and pleasant climate provided the means for a leisurely life. The Rhone and the Garonne were notable routes of communication and the passage of many Crusaders on their way to the East gave an immense stimulus to trade.

Above all the Moslem conquest of Spain had brought the influence of Arabic culture. The larger cities had schools of medicine, mathematics and astrology where Arabian scholarship was imparted. Jews were not debarred from public life and were highly respected as doctors and teachers. The Catholic Church no longer held the monopoly of knowledge; and were gradually losing their power hold in the Languedoc.

The wealth of the monastic orders and the intolerance of the bishops roused the contempt of the nobles who accused them of self-indulgence and lack of interest in the poor. The common priests, through the neglect of their superiors, had fallen into discredit on account of their poverty and illiteracy.

Very different was the behaviour of the Cathars. Their eloquence in presenting their beliefs and their untiring care for all in need of help won the devotion of both nobles and common people. They became known by the name of bons hommes ("good men"). When the leaders of the Catholic Church realized how widely the movement had spread, it was already too late to stem the tide.

It was inevitable that sooner or later the clash would come, for no expressions of faith could be more diametrically opposed between the Catholics and the Cathars.".

In the Languedoc, famous at the time for its high culture, tolerance and liberalism, the Cathar religion took root and gained more and more adherents during the twelfth century. By the early thirteenth century Catharism was probably the majority religion in the area, supported by the nobility as well as the common people. This was yet another annoyance to the Roman Church which considered the feudal system to be divinely ordained as the natural order (Cathars disliked the feudal system because it depended on oath-taking).

In open debates with leading Catholic theologians Cathars seem to have come out on top. This was embarrassing for the Roman Church, not least because they had fielded the best professional preachers in Europe against what they saw as a collection of uneducated weavers and other manual workers. Worse still, a number of Catholic priests had become Cathar adherents (Catharism was a religion that seems to have appealed especially to the theologically literate. Whole Cathedral chapters are known to have defected, as they did for example at Orleans). Worse, the Catholic Church was held up to public ridicule (some of the richest men in Christendom, bejewelled, dressed in finery, and preaching poverty, provided an irresistible target even to contemporary Catholics in the Languedoc). Worst yet, Cathars refused to pay tithes to the Catholic Church.

The Cathar view of the Catholic Church was as bleak as the Catholic Church's view of the Cathar Church. On the Cathar side it manifested itself in ridiculing Catholic doctrine and practices, and characterising the Catholic Church as the "Church of Wolves". The Catholics accused Cathars of heresy or apostasy and said they belonged to the "Synagogue of Satan". The Catholic side created some striking propaganda. When the propaganda proved only partly successful, there was only one option left - a crusade - the Albigensian Crusade.

End of Part One

Then, as now, the Catholic Church was populated by hypocrites, egotists, sadists and opportunists. The Pope was considered the ruler of the entire civilized world. Kings and noblemen groveled and pleaded before his personage. Why? Because the Church then, as now, held the threat of eternal damnation in hell over the heads of the entire world. If you did not believe in the teachings of the Catholic church, you were certain to have a "hot" date with Satan when you passed from this world.

Only the Roman Church had the "power" to condemn men to hell or to absolve them of their sins, which they were happy to do...for a price. This was done via a money-making scheme called "indulgences", where anyone could buy absolution for the right price. The wealthier you were, the higher the price.

The common people, then, as now, may have been poor and illiterate, but they were not stupid. They could recognize a racket when they saw one. Animosity towards the Roman Church had already grown steadily over the centuries. The people were ready for a linking with a pure, true understanding of the relationship between God and men - gnosis. The Cathars presented this region of Southern France with an opportunity to obtain access to that understanding. They provided the people with a choice. When the Cathar doctrine was compared with Church dogma, the Church was exposed for the shell that it was. Former devout Catholics defected in droves. The stage was set for an epic battle of survival from which only one victor could emerge.

By the way, the word "heresy" has come to be known as "thoughts and doctrines opposed to the orthodox church". However, the true origin of the word indicates something much different:

heresy (noun)  from the Greek hairesis "a taking or choosing, a choice.

Links In The Chain

The Gnosis is with us always. Even in the darkest periods of mankind's many epochs, this Divine Flame is kept alive on the earth-plane by those whose job it is to maintain this Link with the Divine Kingdom.

Every major earth-cycle follows the same pattern. It begins with a purified astral atmosphere, which humanity can take advantage of to begin walking the transfiguristic path. It is during these early stages that Divine Helpers are sent to earth to assist mankind in walking the Path. All ancient cultures have "myths" that tell of a time when "the gods walked amongst men".

As a cycle progresses to its nadir, humanity becomes less and less spiritual. Mankind, through wrong-thinking, begins to create aeons which gradually grow in power and influence. These aeons eventually begin to rule the minds of men. The Divine Helpers withdraw, partially because the astral atmosphere of the earth is no longer hospitable to beings of an incredibly high vibration and pratly because the realization that it is now time for man to learn from another Teacher: the Effects that will result from his erroneous Causes.

The descent continues. Man stumbles blindly in the dark. The Path of Return is forgotten and the Gnosis becomes an anathema in this nature-order. Perversion and error dominate the hearts and minds of men. Anything that attempts to alert man to the doctrine of the two nature-orders or to the possibility of permanent escape from the earth-planes (Liberation) is hunted down and summarily destroyed, with prejudice.

It is during these times that the caretakers of the Gnosis go underground. The mystery schools and gnostic brotherhoods pull up the drawbridge, shutting their doors to the profane, like the petals of a flower closing at twilight.

This is not an act of abandonment. Those few who continue to seek The Way will always be found and will always be helped. This is simply about preservation of the earthly outposts of the Gnosis so that seeking mankind will have a place to turn, even when times have reached a point of Godlessnes.

Predictably, man's persistent error eventually pollutes the astral atmosphere so much that the chances for microcosms to locate and walk the Path of Return greatly diminishes. It is then that a cosmic revolution takes place, a cyclic cleansing of this nature-order that returns the subtle spheres of the earth-plane to a pristine state. Atsome point during the cleansing, a harvest is gathered of all those who have followed the Good Law. These ones represent the Remnant who are always moved to a protected location prior to any cataclyms. The refection-sphere is purified and a new cycle begins. The Divine Teachers are able to return once more and assist the Remnant in their development towards godhood.

Age after age, the pattern never changes

During man's recent history, the past 12,500 years or so, the following groups or divine personalities have made their appearance on the world stage and devoted their efforts to maintaining the earthly link to the Chain of Universal Brotherhoods. Some of the names:

Krishna
Lao Tzu
Akhenaton
The Druids
The Buddha
The Essenes
Jesus, The Christ
The Manicheans
The Bogomils
The Waldenses
The Cathars
The Templars
The Classical Rosicrucians

There were many, many more. Be they Persian, Hindu, Chinese, Mayan, Aztec, these brotherhoods existed in all countries, at all times. In a bit, one of these groups will be discussed here. Those who are referred to as "the preceding brotherhood" -- the Cathars.

The Chain Of Universal Brotherhoods

The Universal Chain of Brotherhoods is composed of all entities who have preceded us on the Path of Return and successfully obtained Liberation from the Wheel of Death-and-Rebirth.

When an entity brings its walk on the Path to what the Cathars referred to as "the good end", it means that the microcosm has been sufficiently purified and a new, immortal soul has been constructed to replace the old, mortal soul. Due to the awakening of the Divine Spark which re-links the candidate with the Gnosis, the new soul is built not from the four ethers of this nature-order (reflecting, light, life and chemical ethers), but from the four pure ethers of the Divine Realms. Once this purified new soul-state is situated within the personality, Spirit is then able to descend and take up residence in the head sanctuary.

The newly-combined Spirit-Soul now drives all the thinking, feeling and willing for the evolving personality. The importance of this cannot be under-stated because, as has been mentioned here before, it is the quality of our thoughts and feelings that condition the ethers which are used to build the etheric (or vital) body. It is the etheric body that animates the physical shell. Thus, the presence of the reborn Spirit-Soul eventually results in a new etheric / physical body. This completes the transfiguration of the candidate as the tri-unity of Spirit, Soul and Body are re-united once more.

In addition, the karma of the candidate is erased, ensuring a release from the Wheel. It is our karma and our active desires that force us to return to physical life. Walking the Path in self-surrender, undergoing the endura, is meant to neutralize our desires. The tranfiguristic process takes care of the karmic aspect.

The change outlined above is not a new phenomenon. It has been with humanity since the very first moments of the original Fall from Grace. Since time immemorial, Divine Ones have worked unceasingly on behalf of fallen humanity to reveal The Way Home and to guide those who were ready to make the journey. There are a multitude who have indeed been successful in obtaining Liberation. This is a wonderful comfort, for it shows that success on the Path is possible and that the Divine Plan of the Logos is unassailable.

Note: This is a universal process. Microcosmic candidates for Liberation exist in all parts of the galaxy and they hail from a vast array of planets and star-systems. There are many different life-waves stranded here on the Seventh Cosmic Plane. Among these diverse life-forms, there are those who have also heard The Call and are attempting to walk the same Path of Return as we.

After earning their release from the nature-of-death, the Liberated Ones do not leave the material-spheres for far distant shores of 'bliss' and nirvanic peace. By nature of the link they have forged with the Divine Kingdom, they now embody those states-of-being, it has become a part of who their newly-restored Divine nature. There is no need for them to 'go' anywhere to locate it. What they do is remain close to the earth-sphere, in order to reach back and extend a helping-hand to assist their brothers and sisters who are still lost and foundering under the rulership of the aeons of this nature.

In every age of humanity, these Liberated Ones exert their influence, most often through mystery schools or gnostic brotherhoods established somewhere on earth. Together, each of these schools or gnostic brotherhoods on the physical plane join to form the newest, youngest link in the Chain of Universal Brotherhoods of Liberated Ones. At the end of every World Age or epoch, a harvest is gathered of all those microcosms that have obtained the soul-state required to escape the nature-of-death once and for all. The mystery schools and young gnostic brotherhoods, having served their purpose in helping to enable the harvest for that Age (however small or large), are taken up into the Living Body of the Universal Chain. There, they assume their places alongside their Divine Brothers as Helpers of Humanity. Their new mission, to provide assistance to the next group of mystery schools, gnostic brotherhoods, prophets and messengers that will inevitably make their appearance during the next World Age or Day of Manifestation.

With each new link, the Chain of Universal Brotherhoods grows stronger. As the power-field of this Gnostic Living Body increases, so do the chances that all of mankind will eventually obtain The Good End.

The New Shamballa

If the human endocrine system is forced in any way, one of the most obvious consequences is an increase of the sensory sensitivity. What this sensitivity can involve and often causes you know quite well.

There can be many causes for human sensitivity. It is usually either hereditary factors or karma that play a major role in this. It is also possible for people to bring their endocrine system into a disharmonious and hence undesirable state, for example by doing occult exercises. There are innumerable people who can be called more or less sensitive in some part of their sensory system.

Generally speaking, sensitivity can be found

- in the emotional sphere,
- or in the sphere of hearing,
- or in the sphere of sight,
- or in the sphere of the intellectual organism.

The sensory activities can then be called 'deeper'. They are 'more sensitive', their sphere of action is greater, and they can successfully encounter a higher radiation factor.

This super-normal sensitivity in some direction need not necessarily be dangerous, provided the person concerned does not pursue this with his whole "I", and regard himself as being in a "state of grace", a "chosen one" with extraordinary gifts. For quite obviously this super-normal sensitivity is always one with respect to the astral plane of the nature-of-death, because that astral plane is the life atmosphere of humanity.

You will therefore realize that almost all illnesses connected with the nervous system and leading to highly abnormal behavior are caused by sensitivity that totally breaks down the endocrine system when it is driven on by the "I". A door is then opened for forces on yonder side of the veil, with all the regrettable consequences. These facts, which have always been known, can be an introduction to the following:

Many people, especially doctors and psychiatrists, have been struck by the increase, around the world, of the number of super-normal or para-normal people, and that keeping pace with this is an enormous increase in excessive sensitivity.

The causes of this must be quite well known to you by now. The astral revolution in the human bio-sphere, caused in a forced way, has first of all seized all the negatively sensitive people in all their diversity or is doing so. This is the reason why all over the world the institutions that care for such people are over-flowing.

But this is only the beginning of the trouble, because in the period which we now have entered we will be confronted by the fact that every human-being will be made sensitive by the extremely abnormal conditions of the astral field of life. Almost every human-being will begin to suffer from forms of above-normal mental expression, which will lie within the sphere of action of the pituitary gland. That means on the one hand expansion of the senses of sight , hearing and feeling, and on the other, begin seized by various baser passions with all the consequences for body and soul.

In other words, the masses will be made 'involuntary clairvoyants' as it is called in the School. That is to say that these phenomena will occur outside of the autonomous nervous system. Then a situation will arise in which the vast majority of people will be able to perceive much of what goes on in the etheric world, and experience this in a rather unpleasant manner.

In addition the time of the false Christs will commence. False Christs and false prophets will arise. They will show signs and miracles so as to lead astray the chosen ones where possible.

You will understand that such a horrible paranormal life, aroused in such an artificial manner, is not accompanied by any reasonable discriminatory factor whatsoever, nor by any capability of resistance, and so will create a perfect foundation for The Great Imitation.

The false prophets will praise human progress very highly, especially the results of nuclear science. However, every development has two sides and offers two possible results. Forcing the astral sphere of life will inevitably give rise to a mighty inflow of astral waves from the astral planes of the Original Kingdom.

The light-power that arises from this will obscure even the brightest, clearest light of the Sun and the Moon. The mighty fire, appearing with great power, i.e., with an enormous vibration, will suddenly strike dumb the false Christs and prophets. To their great bewilderment the masses with their paranormal sight will suddenly see much of the New Manifestation as long as that is possible, albeit for only one short hour.

One short hour -- for in this fire-storm a geological reaction of great violence will take place as a last response.

And in this mighty violence the bewildered masses will behold something of the Sons of God, the Chain of the Universal Brotherhood of Christ, which will save its last link, the young Gnostic Brotherhood, and watch over it for the founding of a new Shamballa.

In the Last Days, the etheric vision of all humanity will be restored. We will be able to see that which lies "beyond the veil" Much of what we see will not be very pretty. It will serve, among other things, to shatter any illusions one may have about the after-life state in this nature-order. Those who are not prepared in advance for these events will, without question, be confused and quite possibly, misled.

If you are presently attempting to walk the Path of Return in sincerity and humility, then you have formed a link with the young Gnostic Brotherhood, the most recent and final link in the Chain of Universal Brotherhoods. The link may be strong or weak, but it still serves to connect you to the One Reality, the Original Divine Kingdom.

Nurture and maintain this Link at all costs. It is your lifeline. It is your boarding-pass for the Ark of Light that is once again preparing to set sail.

Transfiguration In The Time Of The End

For millions of years physical humanity has been wandering around on the earth. For millions of years fallen humanity has been occupied in breaking through the nadir of materiality and thus converting its involutionary course into an evolutionary one, in order to resume its journey to the Father's House. For millions of years Divine entities have been trying to impel humanity fully to develop the mental consciousness that is organically present and to use it for its exalted purpose, namely to achieve Transfiguration.

In order to save it from crystallization, how many cataclysms have already struck earthly humanity that has not gone the Path of Transfiguration, but, to the contrary, clings to the earth?

Lemuria, that enormous continent reaching from the southern part of the Pacific Ocean to Africa in the west (Madagascar, the Himalayas, Sumatra, Australia and Easter Island are remnants of it), was destroyed by volcanic eruptions, by fire. With it went the group of Lemurians known as the Sons of Darkness who had to perish as, in their self-maintenance, they committed the most horrible crimes, while the other group of Lemurians, known as the Sons of Light and Wisdom, escaped.

Atlantis, situated at the location of the present Atlantic Ocean (the British Isles and the Azores are remnants of it), served as a field of development for fallen humanity. Seven races developed in Atlantis and from one of these had to develop the Root Race for the seven races of our present Aryan epoch. It was the fifth sub-race, the original Semites, which was chosen for this purpose, because the germ of Mind was present in them. It was from this that cunning developed in Atlantis, Atlantean craftiness that degenerated into evil.

Long before Atlantis was submerged those members of the Semitic race that were designated for it were led eastward. First they were led to a region where such countries as Israel are now situated; later on a small group was led to the Gobi Desert. Atlantis disappeared from the earth, swallowed up by the ocean. Just as was the case in Lemuria, only the godless Atlanteans of the Black Island perished, while the Atlantean inhabitants of the White Island escaped the flood.

To endure the formation of as pure an Aryan Root Race as possible, very severe laws were made. For example, it was forbidden to marry into other races. However, many members of the chosen group disobeyed this law. This is why the previously mentioned small group left the present Middle East for the Gobi Desert.

About a million years ago the Aryan Root Race was formed there, and when this new race had grown to a large population through the incarnation of increasing number of entities, the first mass migration took place about 200,000 years later.

The Aryan race migrated southwards and mixed with the inhabitants of India, and from this the first sub-race, the Indo-Aryan race, was formed. After that, the following were formed:

secondly: the Babylonian-Assyrian-Chaldean sub-race,
thirdly: the Persian-Greek-Latin sub-race,
fourthly: the Celtic sub-race,
fifthly: the Germanic-Anglo-Saxon sub-race.

The first four sub-races all had their outstanding cultures. We can at best read about them in books or see their expressions in museums, but much has become lost in the course of time.

What is the situation with the European, belonging to the fifth sub-race? In him the germ of the intellect has reached its full maturity.

To what end has the European used his intellect? To develop the highly esteemed European culture? To war on each other with the most refined techniques? To invent the nuclear bomb and the hydrogen bomb? To think up lugubrious projectiles that are shot into space to land on the moon or on one of the planets! Or to damage the Van Allen belts and thus disturb the harmony of the universe! Till now the European has used his intellect to maintain his godless, unholy life.

Is it a wonder that the unholy fire is blazing in the highest heat sphere and is threatening to overwhelm humanity? Is it a wonder that cultural philosophers predict the end of the West? Is it a wonder that it was predicted long ago that Great Britain and Europe would go down in fire? Surely not!

Our School makes a real distinction between initiation long ago and now, between initiation before the Christian calendar and after. For the person who was born before the commencement of the Christian calendar the possibility existed of soul rebirth. The person born in the period of the Christian calendar is able to accomplish transfiguration, i.e. to call into being the Spirit-Soul Man. Transfiguration can be achieved by all because they have a mind. The mind enables the human being to become a Gnostic, i.e. one who possesses Knowledge of his True Destination, one who Knows. The Spiritual School of the Golden Rosycross makes it possible for its pupils to go the Path of Transfiguration in a practical sense and thus rise above the coming flood, by means of the Magnetic Living Body, by the Ark built in the last seventy-five years.

By dividing the exhaled air, the prana, into various currents of vibration, in keeping with the thought-image behind them, and in this way conducting the differentiated prana outward via the larynx, themental and thus the astral become audible. All these sound images have their origin on the astral plane. So this primary origin is invoked by the magic of speech; it is vivified, liberated, activated. This activity, this magic, naturally has results. These results may be helpful and liberating, but they can also be encapsulating and dangerous, as much for the sender as for the receiver.

That is why Lao Tzu warns that he who speaks little is spontaneous and natural. Every nature-born human being has his own, fundamental astral nature. So his primary concern should be to prevent this state of being from deteriorating or crystallizing any further than it has already. The human tendency to chatter on meaninglessly leads not only to the wastage of creative energy, but also to serious damage, not only to the person concerned, but to others.

Those who speak little, because they are conscious of these things, because they know what they are doing and are aware of their responsibility, remain themselves and are completely natural. Then the foundation is present for liberating self-realization.

So protect yourself from meaningless chatter; avoid gossip and scandal-mongering. The so-called higher creative power is many times more harmful than the lower creative power. Sometimes people have the tendency to make their thoughts known to others in a very invasive way. Standing right next to them, leaning over them almost, they pour out their word-streams, spewing their criticism and stirring up their listeners with their exhaled air, infecting them with their astral state-of-being. You must protect yourself from this kind of behavior.

Much always lays hidden in Lao Tzu's so very concise language. One single word of his often lays open to us the whole of gnostic philosophy.

If we want to try to fathom the full depth of what Lao Tzu means here, we will need to unveil the mystery of speech and sound.

The first thing you need to bear in mind is that human speech is always closely connected with two processes: the process of breathing and the process of thinking. Unless you breathe you cannot speak. Without a properly functioning mind you cannot express any language in sound. The larynx -- the organ with which you bring forth articulated sounds -- is of relatively minor significance compared to the respiration and the thought processes.

When various authors state that the human being can speak and is distinguished from other animals because he has a perpendicular larynx, this is only a partial truth. For all the organs of the material body are necessary if we are to function properly in matter.

In both animal and human heads are several minute organs which connect them directly with the astral spheres. With many species of animals and human types it is not so much the heart as the solar plexus which plays a large part in that process. This fundamental connection between the living, material being and the astral sphere determines the quality the whole nature of the creature concerned.

The astral plane is not uniform throughout. It is made up of countless domains, each one qualitatively different from all the others, and in each one of these astral domains, countless possibilities and situations are manifested. So it is easy to understand that every human being possesses an individual astral type, a personal astral key. This key is expressed in every aspect of his being, and is present not only within him but also round him. On this factor rest the whole nature and quality of a person's breathing.

By this we mean to say that, even though we all live in the same respiration field, in the same atmosphere, each of us still possesses a highly individual, personal respiration-field, which is formed and prepared by our personal astral condition.

So with every breath we take, both the head and the heart will function in a way determined by our astral condition at that moment. In this way, life really does  arise from breath, in more than one sense. From our breath arise not only our mental activities but also our desires. There is an inner, astral basis which arises via the chakras, and there is an outer astral activity, which connects with the inner, astral basis via the breath.

Whenever a thought is produced by the brain or a desire is born in the heart, these emanate from the head and heart and project themselves into the astral substance that surrounds us on all sides, in the same way as a fish is surrounded by water. These projections are then reflected back and in this way our fundamental astral nature, our respiration field and our breath , as well as our thought-life and our desire-life, are kept within a certain framework.

Now imagine that thoughts and feelings are aroused in you which do not correspond to your fundamental astral type; they are alien to it. Then they will always have been caused by some influence on your respiration-field, for the other route, via the chakras and the etheric body, is too heavily obstructed by the blood, the nerve fluid and the endocrine system. So how do these influences and their subsequent results penetrate into your respiration-field? Well, that happens through speech. When a person speaks, he does so during an exhalation. One does not speak when one is inhaling. You can only do that in a forced way -- artificially -- and only for a few brief moments, and your voice will sound very un-natural.

When you inhale, the astral substance in your respiration field enters your head and impels you to some sort of mental activity. Then, on the outbreath, you use your voice. By speaking, you activate the image, the power, the vibration which the inhaled substance conveyed to you. You convert the astral values into a living reality, which is magically active. So speech becomes a creative act by means of the air exhaled.

Fishbowl

Imagine that your microcosm is a globe-shaped fishbowl with you, the personality, in the center. You are surrounded and inter-penetrated by astral fluid, just as a fish is surrounded and inter-penetrated by water. As the quality of the fish is determined by the quality of the water that surrounds it, so the quality of the human personality is determined and conditioned by the quality of the astral fluid that surrounds him or her.

Our thoughts are living creations. When we think a thought, a particular vibration is sent into the surrounding astral field. If our thoughts are impure, evil, selfish, fearful, critical, judgmental, vengeful etc., the thought-vibration we send forth will color our astral field accordingly. The emotional body is conditioned by those mental emanations and the ethers that compose the etheric body are also extracted from those astral vibrations. The etheric body, as we know, vitalizes and conditions the physical body.

From the foregoing, one should be able to see that what we think dictates our desires and eventually manifests itself in the health or disease of the physical body. Man lives in a fishbowl. Our astral creations - our thoughts - surround and inter-penetrate all four vehicles of our human personality. If, via wrong-thinking we pollute our respiration-field, the astral field that surrounds us, we have to understand that there will be consequences to deal with and a bill that must be paid.

We are what we think. When we look in a mirror, or examine our desires, or take note of our physical condition, we are seeing our thoughts being reflected back to us.  If we do not like the reflection there is but one thing we can do:

Purify our thoughts. Clean up the fishbowl.

Follow The Prototype

We would like to explain how gnostic magic is applied, and to show how worthwhile and necessary it is, for it is the only means of saving the world and humankind.

So we will begin by considering, again, the figure of Jesus Christ, The Son of the Father, whose followers we all need to be. If we choose Him as our example we will see that He was man and God, which means to say He was a nature-born human-being and also, in the true sense, a soul-born human-being. Everything in His life proved that He was completely free as to the soul. As far as His soul is concerned, He was a free citizen of the heaven-earth, while as a nature-born human-being He made The highest state attainable in nature His own. For, as to nature, He was completely transfigured. So in that respect, He was completely in the world, while as a soul-being, he was not of this world.

As such He was capable of expressing Himself in all aspects of our cosmos. He was one with the Earth Logos and one with the Earth Spirit. He ascended into heaven and descended to the earth, which, as the  Gospel puts it, is the Divine footstool. So His sovereignty was complete throughout the cosmos, and to Him was given all power in heaven and earth.

But you need to see this entity as the prototype for your own imitation of Christ. You need to realize that He Himself is inviting and urging you to become like Him, because you have the ability to do so -- if only you are willing to stop seeing Him as an unattainable idol, or as a fairy-tale -- if only you would begin to understand the imitation of Christ as the high vocation all of us are called to pursue. For then, as a participant in a gnostic Spiritual School, you would see the entire process of gnostic magic opening before you.

If you reflect on this, you will realize that it is not a state which arises from one moment to the next, but that there is a process of growth, a Path, which everyone will be able to follow at their own pace. And even if progress on the Path is very gradual, there will still be a daily increase in grace, power and Divine Love, if only you are willing to let go of all the fairy-tales the church has suggested to you  and which have burdened you from your youth onwards. You need -- if we may repeat it once more -- to see Jesus the Lord as the prototype of the One True Human-Being, who you, too, must become.

So do not task, 'Where must I begin?' Begin at your own beginning, in the circumstances life offers you at this moment. Make your paths straight, wherever you live, wherever you are. In all things -- which means, in everything that lies within you personal range of action -- become like John. That is the fundamental requirement.

One person's radius of action may be larger than another's. But remember, if someone with a larger radius of action than yours does not utilize it, whereas you, with perhaps a smaller one, do use it, you will still be greater than he is.

So we can begin our imitation of Christ straight away, here and now. If we do so, together, we will be able to form one group, united in the most complete and perfect sense, and filled with the greatest possible respect towards each other. We will form one, steadfast multitude, a community of John, walking a straight Path through the desert, to the One Goal. Thus we will be among those who have been baptized with the Living Water, the Living Water of the World Soul, which surrounds us all.

We need to stress that the entire fallen cosmos is encompassed by the World Soul, and that everyone who is even slightly open to it, everyone who forgets his own ego, even if only for a moment, will receive the radiation of the World Soul in his system.

Clearly, it is not enough merely to say this, or to focus on it in a mystical way. It is not enough only to attune oneself inwardly to that path. The primary necessity, right from the outset, is the adoption of a concrete, radically different approach to life. That is what is required of you. If you can sense the World Soul's serenity, if its radiation-values penetrate right into your innermost being, choose an approach to life which is in harmony with that. Such an approach to life will naturally differ in every respect from the approach of those who are still ignorant of the One Goal of human life.

Pupils of a gnostic Spiritual School have proved, by the very fact of their pupilship, that they have been seeking a different level of life. Why else would they have become pupils?

But here, a warning needs to be given: let no one climb too high. Climb only to a level at which you can remain without falling or behaving in a way which is a parody of the real thing. Do not say: 'I am standing on this level', while in practice you are far below that level.

Climbing to such a new level and maintaining oneself there is called 'climbing the mountain'. Only on that new level can the prototype of the noble, True Human-Being be met.

The legacy of Jesus has been completely misunderstood, to the detriment of all humanity. He was The Prototype, the Mighty Example set for the benefit of those who wish to walk the Path of Return. That was what He meant when he said "be my followers".  He was imploring future generations to follow His example, to study the life of The Prototype and make it our own. Those who are able to do so will place themselves well on the road to immortality and freedom from death.

Understand this. The mold has already been formed. The blueprint has been prepared. The truth of Transfiguration was proven to mankind in real-time over two thousand years ago. In that day, there was but One Man who was able to accomplish it. Today, at the dawn of the Aquarian Age, with the world and humanity in the midst of a cosmic revolution, all who dare have the opportunity to do the same.

Dealing With Temptation

As we said in the last chapter, the Path to the Original Kingdom involves the application of the fivefold Gnosis:

insight
yearning for salvation
self-surrender
new attitude of life

Those who are not yet walking the Path and have therefore not yet found the thread of Tao often demonstrate moral dis-equilibrium and mood swings due to the turbulent sea of their emotions. One moment they are cheerful, the next, very miserable. One moment they are very purposeful and positive, the next they are filled with despair and feel as though they might as well give up everything. One day they are strong, the next day quite the opposite. We are all familiar with these oscillations. They characterize dualistic nature.

You can read about this in the works of Chuang Tzu. They portray a pupil who is earnestly trying to make something of his life in the sense meant by our School. All day long he agonizes over how to rid himself of what torments him and to cultivate what he loves, but success eludes him.

Lao Tzu says to him: 'You must purify yourself completely, but I see by your sadness that something is stopping you still'. He then advises:

'If the hindrances from outside become too great, you must not attempt to overcome them by fighting against them, but you should shut your mind to them. If they come from within, you must not try to repress them, but rather, keep yourself out of the way of temptation. If even a master in Tao and virtue is incapable of resisting these two influences in combination, how much less can one who is striving after Tao'.

Happily, there are many pupils in the Spiritual School who are striving after The New Life. They are trying to make the essence of the Gnosis into a virtue in themselves. Through the intermediary of the Mystery School, such efforts always result in a link with Tao; something of the magnetic current of the Gnosis is imparted to the pupil's being. The pupil is being brought close to the thread of Tao, and now he is advised to hold onto that thread, so that he may possess it.

Clearly, any pupil who attempts to do this will find himself in a difficult situation, in which the magnetic currents of two realms are being transmitted to him: the current of the New Nature and the current of the old nature-of-death, by which the pupil lives. This results in tremendous inner conflicts. Great, unbridgeable antitheses are felt, and it cannot be otherwise. If someone is fundamentally of the darkness, and he is placed in the Light, he will feel terrible. His own darkness will be revealed to him more than ever before. In addition, his microcosm, in which he is the current personality, has an immeasurably long past in the world of time and space, and his blood and his soul are conditioned by that past. So there is a total equilibrium between the past and the present, and together they determine his future.

This natural process -- and it is nothing more than that -- conditions one's whole life and character, and is experienced by the pupil as darkness, as a great burden, as temptations that hinder his pupilship. He starts talking about "the devil", or about being influenced by the reflection-sphere and so on. But you need to realize that such influences are always side-effects, and never first causes. In reality, the dualistic influences affecting the personality from the outside originate from the other parts of the microcosm, while the influences affecting the personality from within originate in the blood. These are the temptations from outside and from within.

Lao Tzu advises: 'Do not fight against these natural processes, and do not try to get the better of them in that way, for you will never succeed'. As regards the influences from outside, he says, 'close your mind to them', and as regards the influences from within, his advice is to 'keep yourself outwardly out of the way of temptation; do not act on those influences'.

You may not always be able to tell straight-away whether an influence is coming from outside or from within; whether it originates in the magnetic-sphere of your being or in the blood. But that won't matter. All you need to do is cultivate the following approach:

As soon as you notice that a particular influence is tending to disturb the steady unfoldment of your pupilship, divert your thoughts immediately, or try to dispel the influence by engaging in some intense activity. Do not give it a second's attention. If the influence arises from your blood, and all kinds of inclinations are stirring and boiling within you, just let your blood spend itself and avoid any outer action, whether in reality or thought.

If you apply this two-fold method, you will notice that your strength as a pupil will constantly grow, and that you can grasp the thread of Tao more and more firmly. If you fail -- and there is no reason why you should -- you will find you keep on having to start all over again from the beginning, which will weaken your body, increase your burden, and make your life hell.

So we hope you will take this ancient, classical advice to heart.

Remember that "energy follows thought, what is focused upon grows".  Thoughts are things. Literally, our thoughts are our creations. Cosmic law holds that all creatures are bound to their creators. So our thoughts, even if not immediately acted upon, will remain within our magnetic-sphere. The thought will continue to present itself to us until either of the following happen

(a) we increase its strength by focusing on the thought, thereby giving it energy, eventually resulting in some type of action, or

(b) the thought gradually fades away as it dies of starvation from lack of attention.

Therefore we are advised to take on an attitude of indifference or inattention when undesirable thoughts or impulses attack us from without or within. Do not attempt to fight them. Even attempting to resist thoughts or desires will only strengthen them. This is true because by doing so, you are still focusing on the thought or desire. And, as stated above, what is focused upon, will grow in strength and intensity.

We are creatures of this nature, built to respond to the infinite stimuli emanating from the nature-of-death. However, we are also candidates on the Path, who are attempting to free our microcosm from this nature by following the thread of the Gnosis back to the Divine Kingdom. We have a foot in both worlds, so to speak. Because of this, until we become strong enough in the Gnosis, from time to time we may become susceptible to the temptations of this nature. This is a recognized part of walking the Path. We are offered the advice above to assist us in overcoming these hurdles.

This writer has taken the twofold advice to heart and put it into practice. It does work, if one is diligent about its application. That is encouraging news for all because with the myriad invisible forces arrayed against the serious candidate, any advice that can protect us from stumbling is welcome advice indeed.

Why Quote The Works Of Others?

The reason that certain authors are quoted here is because those authors have been able to properly interpret certain gnostic teachings. There is nothing that this writer can offer that would exceed the benefits offered by these teachings. This writer is simply a candidate on the Path who happened to find something and now wishes to share that which was found, nothing more, nothing less.

The works that are quoted here are largely unknown to most. What Westerner outside of Europe has ever heard of Jan van Rijckenborgh or Catharose de Petri, Max Heindel or Helena Blavatsky or Hermes Trismegistus, even? These people are not known to the masses of humanity.  There are no movies or documentaries made about them. No songs, no statues. This is not by accident as there is no way that the aeons of this nature would want to give these great messengers any type of exposure at all. So we must seek them out.

Who ever heard of The Corpus Hermeticum, the Pistis Sophia, the Tao Te Ching? Who knows of the Fama Fraternitatis or The Confessio of the Brotherhood of the Rosycross? Who knows of the Alchemical Wedding of Christian Rosycross, the great allegorical work by Johann Valentin Andreae? Even if one knows of these works and tries to read them, some of them are almost indecipherable without the Gnostic Key. Try reading the Pistis Sophia one day. You'll only be able to make out bits and pieces. But if you read "The Gnostic Mysteries Of Pistis Sophia" the analysis written by van Rijckenborgh, everything becomes crystal-clear. Same with The Corpus Hermeticum. Difficult to read cold, but explained beautifully in four volumes of "The Egyptian Arch-Gnosis" by JVR.

All messengers are gifted in some fashion. This is by design as they must possess certain talents in order to carry out their function here in the nature-of-death. Van Rijckenborgh and de Petri had the ability to interpret and transcribe these ancient texts so that they could once again speak clearly to the candidate on the Path in the present time.

Although aware of certain things, this writer is by no means an expert, a teacher or a guru. He is a seeker, just as you are. He is one who has, after long years of searching, found the Golden Thread and is determined to follow it to its Glorious End. As others are not aware of these teachings (this writer himself was not aware of any of this ten years ago) it is only fair and proper that they be given exposure so that those who seek tirelessly might one day come across them and perhaps feel the Touch.

The authors who are quoted here are not just hacks off the street. They're not your run-of-the-mill YouTube gurus or New Age "masters". They were candidates on the Path, just as we are. Perhaps they were a little farther along than we are, but with a shared awareness of the power of the Spark we all carry within our heart and determined to spread the Doctrine of Transfiguration to as many as will listen.

There is no need for this writer to talk about himself or his experiences on the Path. Truly, they will probably closely resemble your own. Although each of us have different life experiences, various difficulties and challenges, all springs from the same fount. We are all victimized by the same nefarious energies. We are all struggling to get out from under the influence of the archons and aeons of this nature. The entire nature-of-death, with its twin spheres (material-sphere and reflection-sphere) works non-stop in its quest to drag us all deeper into the pit, by any means necessary.

Messengers sent before us have worked tirelessly and at great personal sacrifice to provide us with the important and valuable information needed to effect Liberation from this world of sorrows. They left these writings for a reason. That reason is you.

Let their work not be in vain.

The Emptiness Of The Intellectual Approach

In the ordinary nature a thinker is a philosopher, a person who uses his intellect to make observations and collect data, and on that basis formulates a range of hypotheses, for instance about the origin or meaning of life, or about God, the universe, and so on.

You are probably familiar with many such products of philosophical thought, formulated by nature-born egos. But this kind of thought never  goes further than the seeking phase. It is largely speculation. There have been many clever thinkers. There still are, and many more, no doubt, are yet to come. Many of them write thick books about their theories, and their ideas help countless seeking people to go further in their search. In this way, the mental capacities of many people are trained -- albeit in a purely intellectual sense -- and the result is that, ultimately, they realize they are lacking some fundamental missing link.

In the beginning, logically enough, the seeker thinks it is simply the problem of not knowing enough as yet; he thinks his cerebral apparatus just needs to be trained more, that he must accumulate still more facts. At long last, however, the awareness will dawn on him that the deficiency lies not so much in what he is capable of knowing, as in what he is capable of doing. The mental apparatus of the brain is meant to be an instrument of the thinking faculty. But the real thinking faculty is of quite another nature and essence. It is meant to be the fourth vehicle of the human personality, but it is only in an embryonic state in nature-born human beings. And it will remain so as long as the human being remains in his nature-born state.

It is very important to realize this, because there is an immeasurable difference between intellectuality and Wisdom. Intellectual knowledge may sometimes be useful to the nature-born person, but it has no value at all as a means of penetrating to The Great Reality.

You may find this somewhat unacceptable, but we hope you will try to understand it. People who are intellectually-trained and whose heads are full of intellectual knowledge, are not interested in the Wisdom of the New Life, which only arouses in them a feeling of mild contempt or the inclination to laugh. The sage, however, regards the purely intellectual approach as a dangerous course which leads only to delusion. The intellectual approach does not give access to Wisdom's inner depths, nor even to its first glimmerings.

The Foolish And The Prudent

Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps.

Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep. But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Behold, the bridegroom! The foolish said to the prudent, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the prudent answered, ‘No, there will not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.’

Proof Of That Which Cannot Be Proven

This is a response to a recent comment from a reader. i knew that the response would be lengthy, and so the decision has been made to post it.

Dear Anonymous: First off, i never take anything "personally". There is no longer anything one can say or do that would "hurt my feelings" or "make me" angry. That ship sailed long ago.

i will break up this response into segments.

Anon: "My contention is this, you are quoting a vast amount from the written works of 'others', do you have any personal experience of the ecstatic liberation that you are speaking of here?

Answer: Here we have a request for proof. "Prove what you say. Show me proof of the transfiguristic process and of the existence of a Divine Kingdom and then I will believe". Like Thomas the Apostle, you need to "stick your fingers in the nail-holes" before you can accept what has been revealed to you as being true. Jesus was able to accommodate Thomas. i will not be able to do the same for you.

This is not because i don't want to, but because i cannot. i, and others, are currently on The Path, working towards the One Goal. We have not reached the point of transfiguration, and if we had, we would no longer be visible or present on this plane to tell you about it.

The latest form of documented "proof" that we have was given to us at the beginning of the Piscean Age through the life of Jesus, the Christ. There were no TVs, radios or Internet when He walked the earth, but His life and deeds were witnessed by tens of thousands of people. His daily activities were meticulously documented in order to preserve a living record of the Process of Transfiguration for future generations. So many people witnessed the life and activities of this Avatar that the memory of Him could not be erased. Thousands upon thousands turned away from the Pharisaic religion (now cleverly re-branded as "Judaism")  and began to walk the fivefold Gnostic Path. Of course, the Pharisees were furious about this and their efforts to shut down and discredit Him are well-documented.

What many do not realize is that these efforts did not end with the ascension of the Christ, but continued on well into the 4th century until, at the Council of Nicea in 325 A.D., "churchianity" was codified and the entire message of self-freemasonry (doing the work required to go the Path) was perverted into a ridiculous fantasy of "salvation-by-proxy" and some guy "having died for our sins". People now laugh and  ridicule the New Testament, the very testimony that was intended to provide man with the means to escape his prison.

The four gospels were allowed entry into the Bible after undergoing strategic mutilations, but documents such as the Pistis Sophia, which the Christ dictated to His apostles and select disciples during the 11 years He remained with them after the Resurrection, were purposely excluded from the Bible. Why? Because in it, the Christ exposes the activities of the aeons of this nature and their human minions here on earth. In the Pistis Sophia, He explains what happened to Him after he "died", of His travels to "hell" (so-called) and back. How he went through all of the spheres of the reflection-sphere (the so-called 'heaven-worlds") and disarmed the archons and the aeons of a third of their power. This was done in order to loosen their grip on mankind and afford future generations a fighting chance to approach The Path prior to the commencement of the Age of Aquarius, two thousand years beyond His time.

Anon: You responded with smugness and self-righteous indignation of someone who seems to 'know' some of all therefore let me extend my apology if you found my post offensive.

Answer: Your interpretation of my answer is your interpretation. Again, i repeat, nothing that anyone can say to me or about me can cause me to "take offense". Part of surrendering the self is to do the work of de-activating all those aeonic connections that stimulate us in a knee-jerk fashion to think that we are the center of the world, that we must be "respected" and that those who are against us are our enemy. You are my brother. i understand where you are coming from. i have been where you are now.

Anon: To borrow your own analogy of sticking a knife, what is attempted here is akin to trying to describe an orgasm to a person who is not even aware of his sexual organs. One needs to experience it to know the throes ecstasy and sweet pain/agony of that indescribable sensation. So do you speak from experience or are your merely parroting the 'teaching' of others?

Answer: This analogy is correct. It is impossible for a human-being immersed in this undivine nature-order to be able to explain the first thing about the Divine nature-order, a nature-order which is not-of-this-world and inaccessible by our current set of five senses. Again, i do not know, remember what it feels like to be Liberated. But i am devoted to doing the hard and difficult work that is necessary in order to find out.

As for 'parroting the teachings of others', i will say this: the reason that i post the 'teachings' (your quotes) of others is so that what needs to be transmitted will be transmitted. If you are referring to Jan van Rijckenborgh, Catharose de Petri, Heindel, Blavatsky, the New Call group, etc, these "others" did not 'make up" these teachings out of whole cloth. The teachings have always existed, although they were masked, veiled from the profane. These "others" found the Key required to correctly interpret the teachings of Hermes, Lao Tzu, the Christ, etc. and worked to pass this Knowledge on. It is not "their" Knowledge. They are but messengers. The Corpus Hermeticum, The Tao Te Ching, the New Testament of the Christ all spring from the same fount of Universal Gnostic Wisdom. All of those works were created to serve the humanity of its time. They all relate the same Truth. Two thousand years from now, there will be other manifestations of the Gnosis, but they will still be the same Universal Gnosis.

No one on this blog has ever been asked to blindly "believe in" what is posted here, or to "follow" anything proposed here. i've spent the last thirty years sifting through a mound of metaphysical, extra-terrestrial and New Age material. Some of it was compelling, much of it was misleading, all of it was ultimately not the Whole Truth. Why did i bother? Because i was searching for the Truth, the Thread, the Thing that was being kept from me. After diligent and one-pointed seeking, i found It. What was being kept from me, and from all of us, is that we are exiled and imprisoned in a nature-order that is not our Original Home. More importantly, we are unaware that there is a "way out" and the particulars of that "way out" have been hidden from us by our controllers, who need us to remain here (energetically and vibrationally-speaking) in order for them to live.

Anon: I know how you are going to respond, you are not here to save my soul but only offering the liberating knowledge to free myself.....does that mean I can't express an opinion. "Today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday". Yes, we are here so I'd rather be alive in the moment.

Answer: At the end of this Day of Manifestation, all microcosms will return to The Father, for that is The Plan and the glory of God's plan is unassailable ("Dei Gloria Intacta"). If we take a look at the current state of the world, it may appear to the unknowing that The Plan is not working, but it is. There are two ways to go about obtaining Liberation and regaining immortality:

1. wait until the end of this current Great Day of Manifestation, a period spanning several hundred trillions of "illusory" earth-years or,

2. 'take Heaven by storm" by grasping the Thread of the Gnosis which has wound its way since antiquity throughout all ages of man, unseen and un-noticed by so relatively few, and following that Thread to its Glorious Conclusion.

In layman's terms, it is like this: we can take the Local train to our destination, or we can take the Express. You have chosen the former. i, and others, have opted for the latter. There is no wrong choice. You are welcome to take as much time as you need. Personally, i've seen enough of "earth experience", thank you very much. It is time to move on, to move upwards.

Anon: Speaking of rules, order and process......I am sick of putting up with those on the earthly sphere, imagine having to content with it in the divine realms. I prefer annihilation to this.....according to you 'I' may yet get 'my' wish. You said "Our consciousness is cut off".....can you tell me what consciousness is?

Answer: When i spoke of "rules", i was referring to the Laws that govern the Path, not the Divine Kingdom. But now that you have mentioned this, allow me to say the following:

The Universe of The All is governed by Universal Laws. How could it not be? There must be Cosmic and Divine Laws in order to bring order out of chaos. Man's laws are flawed and ineffective. Why? Because they disregard and ignore God's Laws. We are like children playing in our parent's closets, thinking that we are upholding order when, in fact, we are only perpetuating the swing of the pendulum and keeping duality in existence.

In the Divine Kingdom, the kingdom that is not-of-this-world, it is God's Laws that are obeyed. God's Laws are not designed to restrict or constrain any entity who chooses (chooses!) to follow them. On the contrary, His Laws are designed to offer us every freedom possible  as we explore, experience and create in His Omniverse. Hell, that is why we are here now, because we abused our freedom and, as a result of that abuse, fell into this material creation that we were ordered not to "involve" ourselves in. We were to experiment and create, but not to "I"-dentify with our material creations. Now we're stuck here and have to be rescued. That is the aim of the Divine Plan of Salvation.

Anon: No one, at least no human has known, knows or will over know completely what this all about. We are not in charge. We never were and we never will be. Only the Creator is in charge, and only the Creator creates anything at all. The only place “free will” truly exists is with the Creator...all we can hope for is grab on while this particular epoch of creation expands and then finally retracts..then begin all over again.....the breath of God.

Answer: The majority of this statement is categorically wrong. We are in charge. To ascribe to your way of thinking is to accept what the lying churches have been spoon-feeding humanity for the last 2,000 years. "It's all in God's hands". Such flawed thinking de-activates one's God-given free-will and makes one an unwitting slave to the aeons of this nature, who are more than happy to step in and pretend to be your 'Higher Power".

The All endowed His creations with the Freedom to do whatever we wished, as long as we did not aspire to retain any power or glory for ourselves. Our job was (and is) to do God's Will, period, end-of-story. Instead, we have become stubbornly self-willed, and endeavor night and day only to benefit ourselves, at whatever cost. When a life-wave ceases to be "one with God" in this way, a separate universe is created for them where they can wallow, frolic and play in their miserable, self-created, sham universe for as long as they wish to do so (again, free-choice). They are segregated from the Divine Kingdom in order to keep their counter-natural way of thinking-willing-and-feeling from contaminating any of the Pure Spheres of the Divine Universe.

We are currently experiencing in such a segregated universe, a universe characterized as an "abortion" as some gnostic scriptures have described it (ladies, please excuse the terminology used). We are free to stay here for as long as we enjoy pretending to be helpless pawns on the chessboard of Creation or we can get off our asses, seek Right Knowledge and through Right Thinking, Right Feeling and Right Actions, blaze a trail through the Wilderness that will lead us Back Home.

Anon: No ~g, I am not given to prideful thinking, I am only sad that the ripple of my awareness moved so far away from the ocean that I don't remember much of who or what I am. On the other hand...maybe the creator never intended us to return to it...we are each the seeds dispersed in the universe to forever forge our own universe. Answer: Again, this is a defeatist mindset, born out of an exhaustion. We have all encountered this feeling. Inwardly, we are frustrated with the apparent, visible futility of this existence. We are exhausted by the myriad dead-ends we encounter when attempting to find "the Truth". We feel that "all is for naught". This is beneficial in that it is when we reach this nadir that we can become susceptible to the touch of the Gnosis, the vibratory emanation that is not-of-this-world.

You see, we, as nature-born beings, have no memory of what was. But our microcosm, in particular, the Divine-Spark, the Spirit-spark atom positioned in the center of our microcosm, It remembers! It remembers because it is not-of-this-earth, it is a stranger in a strange land. Buried like a diamond under mounds of unyielding earth, still, like a homing beacon, it issues forth a continuous Call to each and every human-being. Most are unable to "hear" this Call, and thus go to their grave thinking that existence was a fruitless waste of time.

However, those who can hear the Call are fortunate beyond belief as, once touched by this Divine Power, they can begin to obtain True insight into their condition and perhaps begin to yearn for that which goes against everything nature-born man aspires to. Nature-born man aspires to "make this world better", no matter what it may take. The Divine human-being in the making, The Coming New Man, aspires to leave the world behind forever.

My friend, you are free to think and will as you feel. We all have our Path to walk. Currently, your path does not coincide with the Path i have chosen to walk, and so, there appears to be conflict in our positions. However, as you probably already know, this is not true. All paths lead to the One Goal. It comes down to a question of whether we take the winding, scenic route or the shortcut through the brambles.

You appear to have chosen the former, i, the latter. Even if i and others should obtain Liberation before you, we are duty-bound to delay our ultimate exit from this nature-order. We will turn to offer our hands to our brothers still enchained, just as those hands were extended to us. We shall not leave our straggling brothers and sisters behind, for God's Law mandates that we must all obtain our Final Liberation as a unity, as a single life-wave, in group formation. We fell here together, we leave together. At the end of this Great Day of Manifestation, all of humanity must walk arm-in-arm together through the Door of Freedom, triumphantly, as One.

The Thread of Tao

If you think all this over carefully, you will surely sense that behind this Spiritual School there is a tremendous power. In your own way, you will surely have experienced that power. Now the most one can say about this, is that is the thread of Tao, the Thread of Ariadne. How did we get hold of that thread? We will gladly tell you.

Is the thread we hold the beginning? No, for there is no beginning! You do not see its beginning and you do not see its end. Just like you, we too searched through dualistic nature. We were able to do that because we are of this nature. With our I-being we were able to try and test everything this world had to offer. And lo and behold, everything was trouble and sorrow. We found out that this nature is a nature-of-death, and we had no desire to jubilate with the 'blessed' before the throne; neither did we want to strive to make this accursed order acceptable in any way whatsoever. After years of trying and testing, we came to the conclusion that this could not be the true meaning of existence, and that it would not be good to go on having any part in deluding people in the nature-of-death.

One can draw such conclusions, but afterwards, one has to make a decision. The time must come when one must 'govern one's present existence'. So we had no option but to fathom the Tao of antiquity, not with the aid of authorities, but objectively. Can such a thing be done? Yes, oh divine rapture, it can, although we soon found that on all sides, everything was (and is) being done to hinder these discoveries. Many sources had been ruined; others were inaccessible, because they had been locked away in deep cellars beyond human reach. The rest, without exception had been terribly mutilated.

We began with the few fragments of the holy language that had survived. From these, it became clear to us that there exists an Original Kingdom, another Order of Nature, a Realm far beyond the highest nirvanic plane, a Realm quite separate from the nature-of-death and its two spheres.

Once we had realized this, we set out to discover whether there had been people, or groups of people, who had striven to find that Other Realm, what their lives had been like, and what features distinguished them from others. We tried to find out whether such people, although widely separated from each other in space and time, had followed the same pathways. We discovered that the efforts of all these people and groups followed the same basic pattern. We hoped to make contact with those who had gone before us, and in our efforts to do so we exhausted our entire arsenal of magic capabilities -- but not one faint glimmer of the Brothers did we obtain in response.

Now we can laugh at all those attempts, for were we not seeking the image of the imageless, the form of the formless? If the Brothers had revealed themselves, they would have been de-throned. They would have been inhabitants of the reflection-sphere. But they had disappeared forever; they had not died. Countless were the invitations we received during that period, invitations from numerous brotherhoods: 'Come and join us, and give up your useless efforts'.

Then we immersed ourselves in self-freemasonry, because: he who knows the beginning of the Original has the thread of Tao in his hands.

What is the beginning -- not of the Original, but what is the Beginning that leads to the Original, the Beginning that all our predecessors had found? What else could it be but the practice of the fivefold universal Gnosis:

yearning for salvation
self-surrender
the new way of life
and through it, fifthly,
revelation, the thread of Tao.

Not a communication in the personal sense, but an electromagnetic connection with the Gnosis through which the soul, the wholly Other One, is awakened and becomes conscious. That is the thread of Tao. That is what it means to be linked with the chain of the Universal Brotherhood. Anyone who holds that thread in his hands will proceed from power to power and from glory to glory, and he will be following in the footsteps of those glorious, Divine Brothers who have vanished from the earth.

Such a person will then begin to invite others to take hold of the same thread, to follow the same method, to build with him, according to the design of the Original Beginning. And together, all the companies who join in and take up the thread form a new brotherhood, a Living Body, and all bear the magnetic sign of the Son of Man on their foreheads.

The first Gift of Grace received in this state-of-being is the experience of being able to 'govern one's present existence'. Such people have been freed. They are strangers on earth, travelling to the true Fatherland. What is hidden to the 'wise and understanding' of this world is revealed to the children of God.

The Role Of The Sternum

 

"The Breastplate Of Righteousness"

Esoterically-speaking, the sternum, or breastbone, is a magnetic field. It has three attributes:

i) a radiative faculty,
ii) a power of attraction, and
iii) a neutral, observing faculty.

The sternum is also made up of three pieces of bone. As a result of the first attribute, the sternum radiates what the person is. His actual state of being can be read and observed in the area of his heart, from where it radiates outwards. On this basis, and with the aid of the second faculty, the sternum attracts compatible magnetic energies with which the system can be nourished. The third faculty reveals those matters, influences and forces to which the person is entirely indifferent and to which he is therefore insusceptible.

For example, if the third faculty clearly demonstrates that a person is indifferent to the world of duality, or to a certain aspect of it, it is quite impossible to attract magnetic forces from that world with the second faculty, and so it is impossible for such forces to enter one's system. So the third faculty of the sternum can rightly be called a breastplate, offering protection from the delusions of the fallen world if used wisely. This breastplate therefore becomes a decisive factor in the qualitative functioning of the other two faculties.

It follows, then, that the process of "hardening the heart", previously mentioned, also has to do with the third faculty of the sternum. The increasing hardness of our heart would mean our increasing indifference to the Gnosis, to the divine Life, as a result of which we would no longer be able to inhale the Gnosis via the sternum as a form of magnetic nourishment. All that would remain would be the ability of the consciousness to perceive via the very limited head sanctuary. Then the only assimilation that could occur would be intellectual, so that in essence, we would really have understood nothing. We would see, but not perceive; we would hear, and yet remain deaf, for true Knowledge and Right Understanding may only arise from the moral stirring that is the potential result of the rational touch. We must reach understanding via the experience that goes hand in hand with the moral stirring.

So it is important to determine the condition of our threefold sternum-activity, and in particular the condition of our breastplate, the third faculty. And it can hardly be otherwise than that we will observe a number of uncertainties with respect to ourselves. For however familiar we are with the Universal Doctrine, we are often still largely involved in the primary processes of the moral stirring. Just like so many other pilgrims who are faced with the inevitable trials to be found upon the True Path, we oscillate between hope and fear, for the most part observing nothing but unworthiness and wrong reactions. And this whole process of rational-moral stirring, this intense storm, is reflected in the activities of our sternum.

Many naïve seekers in the world today judge as to what is true and holy by how pleasant it makes them feel. However, it is out of the question that tranquility will descend into the heart of a fallen and damaged microcosm that comes into contact with the Gnosis for the first time. As long as there is no blood-certainty and the person concerned cannot therefore gird himself in the Truth, whatever seems best to the blinded consciousness of the person at that moment will be attracted or repelled by the sternum on purely speculative grounds. Generally speaking and initially, the vibration of the living Truth will definitely not be experienced as pleasant by the typical fallen microcosm in the nature of death!

We are exposed to many alternating voices owing to the conflict being fought out within us, the conflict between the state of death in the fallen world and the living State of the Spirit. Just as so many spiritual aspirants experience upon the Path, at one moment praising God, and the next moment cursing one's own fate and situation, without possessing a grain of certainty, so it is for ourselves amid the flashing, magnetic interplay of the dualistic sternum-activity. As long as this continues, one cannot speak of a breastplate of righteousness.

We know how it is with the human norms of right and wrong; they are subject to duality. They alternate - day and night, hot and cold, good and bad - and it is endless. What one person considers to be right and proper, another person vehemently rejects. Every human being is dragged along in the current of events, in the interplay of the pairs of opposites, and the wrong use of the breastplate, the third faculty of the sternum, is the cause of this. In the fallen world we constantly have to make adjustments to the dualistic state present within our microcosm. Tremendous amounts of human energy is tied up in this way, creating ether-bleedings that feed the archons and aeons, thus keeping us in chains.

So perhaps it is time for us all to ask, just as the biblical figure asked, "What is truth?", and we may similarly ask, "What is righteousness?" We may ask others, while confining ourselves as far as possible to the minimum requirements necessary to assure us of a positive result at the Harvest Time. But people cannot tell one another what divine justice is; they cannot speak about the essence of righteousness as it exists in Christ. They will never understand each other and will never achieve unanimity.

The true, divine Righteousness can only be approached and therefore comprehended via the process that we have discussed. Of course, one can approach divine righteousness philosophically to a certain extent. For instance, one can speak about the direction in which one ought to seek. We may say, 'This aim necessitates a certain way of life, a life of absolute action', and so approach the Path from an intellectual standpoint. Yet a life of unconditional purity in action is required of the person who is following the True Path. If such a person were to understand divine righteousness completely from within, he would then be able to perform this action. His inner realisation would enable him to forge the breastplate of inviolability.

But how and with what must he begin? He must commence by overthrowing his feelings of superiority. He must say farewell to the delusion that, 'I know it, I see it all quite clearly, I am doing it so well!'. He must realise with absolute certainty how opposites are constantly interchanging within him, and he must experience to the full the resulting inner distress, just as every pilgrim must do. And once he has dethroned his imaginary I-assurance, finding in himself nothing but uncertainties, no alternative will remain for him - when the cry of the blood drives him to it - than to thirst intensely, to hunger for divine righteousness. He will then have begun to gird himself with the Truth.

The sternum fills an important role in the awakening of the Rose of the Heart. When one has acquired sufficient insight into the reality of the two nature-orders and grasped the overwhelming futility of  existence in this fallen, physical realm, a strong sense of yearning for escape should develop. A cry from within will well up and radiate from the seat of desire - the heart. This desire for Truth, for Liberation will be radiated outwards by the first faculty of the sternum and, because like attracts like, these desires, which are not-of-this-world will attract the touch of the Gnosis, which is truly not-of-this-world. It is this Touch that will stimulate the thymus to begin secreting a special hormone that will infuse the blood with the electromagnetic vibration of the Gnosis. That is how it begins.

The third faculty of the sternum - that of indifference - increases in importance as the candidate attempts to move forward on the newly-found Path. As he or she undergoes the endura, living each day in self-surrender, the things of the world which were once so important will gradually begin to lose their allure. The impulse to do certain things will continue to poke at the candidate, but, if he or she is traveling the Path in humility and sincerity, focusing only one the One Goal, those impulses will slowly lose their ability to gain entry into the personality-system. They will be met with indifference and die from a lack of attention. That is the power of the third faculty of the sternum, the  Breastplate of Righteousness.

"Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with Truth, and having put on the Breastplate of Righteousness" Ephesians 6:13-14

The human body has a high purpose. It was designed for a specific function. This is why it is a crime for people to abuse it the way they do. It is the height of ignorance. It is as if a man stranded in a life-raft, on high seas, were to take a pen-knife from his pocket and begin to idly poke holes in the raft. The only difference is that such a man would be insane. Humans are not insane, just ignorant.
