Earth Man, Heavenly Man

Our existence as earth-born beings is surrounded by a microcosmic Spirit-field. Just as the earth as a cosmos is embedded in the Spirit, so too is the microcosm surrounding us. Though the fourfold personality is entirely of the earth, there still exists the possibility for the earth-bound entity to become a New Man through the touch of the Spirit-field. There still exists the opportunity of another, new process of genesis, outside the human being, alongside him, even though connected with him. For the universal Gnosis is the central issue:

Outside us, yet intimately connected with us, lies the possibility of a quite different creation, the genesis of an entirely New Man. It is not us, earth-born entities, who become new creatures, but a totally 'other' one. Alongside the earthly man is the Spirit-man. The one is of the earth, earthly; the other is of heaven, heavenly. Think in this context of the First Letter to the Corinthians (Chapter 15, verses 35 onwards). Then you will know, you will experience and see before you that Paul was drawing here on hermetic philosophy.

So it is not one that changes, but two. At any rate, there can be two: an earthly human being and a Heavenly Man in one and the same microcosm.

Now you will see to what extent the holy language handed down to us has often been mutilated and defiled. Because people did not understand all this, or did not want to do so. Because people lived under the great, self-made delusion of thinking that an earthly human-being could be made into a heavenly one. Earthly human-beings, serving and making an idol of the earth, clinging fast to the earth, sparing no effort for the earthly body, being willing to endure anything merely to keep the earthly body in existence, even, for instance, to undergo a therapy that involves the use of living cells -- and at the same time thinking one is of Divine lineage!

Do you understand now what Jesus Christ, who came to us as the Heavenly Man, as the wholly Other One, meant when he said: 'My Kingdom is not of this world'?

It would be out of the question for even one single earth-born entity to become a Heavenly Man; they are two distinct creations, two quite different creatures, sharply to be distinguished from one another.

So where do we stand with respect to the doctrine of transfiguration taught by the School of the Rosycross? Have you ever understood this doctrine properly? In essence, transfiguration means devoting oneself as an earthly, nature-born human being to the creation, the genesis of the Other One; to the vivification of 'the image with the dead eyes'.

Can we do that? Yes, we can. It is even our calling, our task. It is for that we have come into being. If we do nothing more than follow our natural urges as earthly beings, then, as we follow the road of dialectical experience, of rising, shining and fading, the time will come when death will take us. If, however, we take up our calling, we will see a Heavenly Man growing within our microcosm, who will stand before us as the wholly Other One. And through his devotion, his self-surrender to that Other One, the earthly man will one day die, merge and rise again in Him who is the Other One. This 'second death' then signifies the victory over death.

We were born for only one purpose: to awaken the True Man that sleeps within our microcosm. The task is not a simple one, largely because of the following reasons:

1. We are born in forgetfulness, with the answer to the question "Why are we here?" buried so deep within our auric being as to be virtually undetectable.

2. We are under the control of a natural body, created from natural materials, living in and maintained by a natural world. This natural body hinders our ability to reconnect with the Divine Reality that is all around us.

3. We live in a world where the holy language that was left to guide us to the One Goal has been mutilated, falsified and defiled until the Secret Jewel that it contains is unrecognizable, even though it is staring us in the face.

4. Those whose responsibility it is to guide us to the Truth are, in reality, wolves in sheep's clothing. The priestly and kingly castes long ago abdicated their divine responsibilities, leaving us with only charlatans and chicanery.

Is it any wonder that man is lost, struggling under a delusion and afraid to take the necessary steps to escape from this cesspool he calls 'reality'?

Think of yourself as an egg, or a seed. Outwardly, you don't look like much, can't do much. But within every egg or seed is a mighty potential. It is no different with you. As above, so below. Your physical shell is but the outward casing of the egg. The Divine Seed sleeps within. If an egg is not properly incubated, it will remain an egg. If a seed is not properly cared for, it will remain a seed, to be eaten by the birds. If the human personality does not find the True Path and take steps to awaken his or her Divine Spark, that personality will meet death without having fulfilled its True Purpose, the One Goal of its incarnation.

Please note, however, that the Earthly Man cannot become the Heavenly Man, which is the doctrine of error that your churches and earthly philosophies teach. The process of transfiguration requires that the Earthly Man be left behind.

Like the egg, where the fluid within is transmuted and consumed to form the chick; or the seed, which is broken apart and discarded in order to allow the growth of the 'other one' within, so the human being must be willing to sacrifice his physical shell in order to free the Divine 'Other One' within. This is the 'death unto Life' that the Gnosis refers to.

If one cannot do this, if one cannot effect this tremendous act of self-surrender, then there is no way that one will be able to re-establish a link with the Divine Kingdom. When passing, the personality will head off to the reflection-sphere, the sham 'heaven' of the churches, where eventual and complete dissolution awaits.

The Gnosis is calling to you, it is calling to all of mankind. The Call is especially strident here at the end of this major world-cycle, as the sheep are being separated from the goats. Man faintly hears the Call and goes on a search, but due to the nature of his imprisonment (described previously), he invariably seeks in the wrong direction. Because the aeons of this nature have total control over man's physical environment (both material and reflection-spheres), the Seeker is in constant danger of choosing the wrong paths, following corrupted teachings and encountering countless spiritual dead-ends.

Something within you has managed to locate the Golden Thread of Truth. Although this is cause for great joy, do not stop here. Continue to gain insight about the nature of man's imprisonment and the blueprint for escape from same. Make the choice to follow The Path of the True Way in faith and humility. If you can do that, then all else will be added unto you.

The Kingdom Within

"The Kingdom of God is within you".

Many read these words with little understanding as to their deep meaning. They may pretend to understand, but invariably, they do not. This post will attempt to make it clear. First, an excerpt from The Coming New Man, by Jan van Rijckenborgh.

Now an idea, as a creative energy, remains connected with its manifestation. This is a primal law. Thus the Divine Idea is constantly active in all Its manifestations. But as soon as the manifested being, the creature, no longer behaves in accordance with this Idea, a conflict, a rift occurs, impending doom threatens. First the Idea becomes latent in the creature and lapses into inactivity. If the creature continues on the fatal path of the counter-nature and becomes more and more split up, then the initially still latent Divine Idea gradually becomes weaker and finally disappears from the creature's system altogether.

In this manner a state of absolute perdition can be established by natural scientific method and so, too, it is understandable why 'all those who know' jubilate when, in any creature, the latent Divine Idea is re-awakened and takes the lead in his life again. Only to such a person it can be said: 'Verily I say unto you, the Kingdom of God is within you'.

Possibly, this requires some explanation. 'The Kingdom of God', in the sense as applied here, is the Spirit-spark atom already mentioned. Whoever possesses this Spirit-spark atom, whoever still possesses it, has the Kingdom of God within him; that is to say that God's Idea of the Immovable Kingdom has sunken into a state of latency within him. And the only purpose of the Universal Brotherhood is to awaken this Divine, primal atom out of its latent condition. If this process of salvation is successful in a pupil, a great primordial power is released within him and he is able to tread the Path to the Immovable Kingdom.

People are constantly asking, "Where is God"? When told that God is within them, an element of disbelief surfaces. How can the Divine, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient One be found within the sinful ('sin' means error, not 'evil'), selfish, weak and sorrowful me? We struggle to figure out why, if God is within us, He does not show Himself to us. Perhaps the following analogy will help.

Imagine that there exists a glittering diamond of tremendous beauty. Wherever it is exposed to light, the light is reflected. Its facets gleam and sparkle in the manner we have come to know. Now imagine that the diamond is placed in a pit and several feet of soil is shoveled over it. The diamond is buried under the weight of the soil. It cannot receive light, it cannot reflect light. It still possesses these capabilities, but they cannot manifest themselves because of the soil that stands between it and the light. It's power of reflection sinks into latency.

We carry such a diamond within our microcosm. It is what we call the Spirit-spark atom. This single, tiny atom is the only part of us that is Divine. It is the portion of God that each of us carries within. It persists from one incarnation to the next, which is why it is also sometimes called the Permanent Atom. Our Divine Diamond, our Spirit-spark atom, has been buried under our cloak of matter. The more selfish and self-focused we are, the more "soil" we pile upon our Divine atom. The only way to free it from its prison and allow it to once again interact with the Divine Light, is to remove all of the "soil" we have heaped upon it over many thousands of lives.

To do this, we must focus away from ourselves and cease to live as if we were the center of the universe. Unselfishness, selfless service-to-others and gaining insight into the Transfiguristic process are the tasks we must take up in order to reawaken the Divine Spirit-spark atom within us. That single atom contains the Divine Archetype, the lines-of-force representing the Divine Idea. It contains everything we need to become Children of God once again. Once the Rosebud is awakened, it will slowly bloom into a Rose, a Rose with seven petals. Its Light will seek and find the Divine Light, because it has a natural affinity with the Divine Light. Our lost connection with The All will then be re-established, liberation from matter will be assured.

So, seek not without for That Which Lies Within.

The Faithful, The Called And The Chosen

The work of calling by the Universal Brotherhood concerns a wondrous Radiation in our field of existence. It is a Radiation wherein, and we emphatically repeat this, all magnetic elements, all factors of compulsion are absent, and yet this Radiation does not leave any Spirit-spark entity at rest, because the Spirit-spark atom possesses a polarity with this Radiation. Therefore this action causes a continual stirring, a permanent feeling of being 'called', awakened.

Just as a radio set can be tuned to a certain wave-length and reproduces what is broadcast, so the Spirit-spark atom, by virtue of its nature, is continuously tuned to these cosmic vibrations of the Brotherhood and reproduces them within its own system. These vibrations are present everywhere in the nature of our isolation field, speaking a special language to everyone who is open to them. In every age, brothers and sisters have gone out to mankind to translate this language, to make it comprehensible, to explain the sense of the Calling Light and, thereby, concurrently to reinforce the effect of these Cosmic rays.

Thus you will be able to imagine that many millions of people in this world are 'called' in the full sense of the word; most of the pupils of the Spiritual School experience this call consciously. To be 'called', to know that one is 'called', to experience this in every fiber of one's being brings with it a great certainty, namely the certainty of being in possession of a Spirit-spark atom. However, there is at the same time a great danger in all this, the danger of developing a false mysticism and of the enormous delusion that can result thereof.

Suppose that you experience God's call and you talk about it, sing, write poems and otherwise give evidence of it, but for the rest remain exactly the same person as you were before. That is false mysticism! When you continuously say 'The Lord has called me', but take care to remain in the same old spot.

When a pupil speaks effusively about being 'called', or talks about the Brotherhood with a serene smile regarding what he feels in the heart, about the insight he receives but, at the same time does not show the slightest change in his mode of life, this is false mysticism! Just as a purring cat suddenly extends its claws in self-defense, viciously digging its nails into the victim's flesh, so many a person indulging in false mysticism will lash out and protest full of refusal and indignation when he or she is told that being 'called' presumes a going of the Path. The Gnosis demands your entire self, the forsaking of your entire attachment to nature. In response to its Call, it requires the offer of your I and the actual proofs thereof. False mysticism makes the grave error of imagining being 'called' as being the end of the process, but being 'called' is only an organic beginning, a kind of organic predisposition for the Cosmic rays concerned.

If, when 'called', one refuses to go the Path, one inevitably falls prey to the countless negative currents attempting to shackle mankind permanently to the Wheel* Every natural religion shows this characteristic and nourishes the ego-drive. Now you can grasp the words of the Christ when He spoke: 'Many are called, but few are chosen.'

Only when a 'called' person goes the Path consistently on the basis of his or her fundamental state-of-being, and when the Calling Light, as we said, becomes a lamp unto one's feet, does the moment come for the first contact by the electromagnetic field of the Cosmic Septenary. Only then does one begin to be drawn, seized, chosen (i.e., one enters a new metabolic process). This too is neither a compulsion, nor a danger, nor a premature birth in the New Life, but rather a fulfillment of the parable saying: 'And the father went out towards his son, and embraced him, and kissed him.' Then the prodigal son has returned home. He had to go the two Paths of the Rosycross: the Path of Dissolution and the Path of Resurrection. The precious Jewel in the Lotus radiates in the full brightness of a New Morning. The candidate is resurrected in the New Life. Every Spirit-spark entity is called to this resurrection.

In closing, a few words regarding Revelation 17*. There we read about the Cosmic Revolution, the agitation connected therewith and the victory of the Lamb. In the 14th verse we read that the victory will we shared by the faithful, those called and those chosen. The faithful are those who, although 'called', are not yet completely conscious of the fact but still react spontaneously by approaching the Spiritual School out of their innermost being. Those called are the ones who have become conscious of their state-of-being and, awakening, make the decision to Return. Those chosen are the ones who go the Way of the Cross with Roses and awaken reborn in the New Morning.

* They will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and those who are with him are called and chosen and faithful.” Rev 17:14

No matter on which of these three steps you stand at the present moment; if your motives are pure, your attitude in harmony with the demands, and your reaction accords with the Great Law, you will stand on the side of Freedom during the progressive division taking place in this world.

We pray that you may share in this Freedom that surpasses all understanding.

We can't just talk about it, we have to be about it. Purified thoughts and purified emotions must be transmuted into deeds. It is our actions that will provide proof as to whether we are going the Path with all the dedication that we can muster or whether we are just posers, simply pretending to be one of the Faithful, Called or Chosen.

Radio

Turn on a radio, any radio.

What happens? Sound comes out of it. But how? From where?

The 'how' is called radiation. Radiations, vibrations of a particular wavelength and amplitude are transmitted from some central point in a 360-degree radius. We cannot see these vibrations, we cannot feel them, we cannot even hear them...until we turn on the radio. Even then, we have to tune to a certain frequency in order to hear what we want, otherwise we will hear only static.

Now, take a look at the Divine Spark, the Spirit-Spark atom that is located in the center of our microcosm. It is akin to a two-way radio, because it both sends and receives vibrations. Not just any old vibrations. This single atom radiates a very subtle, Divine vibration and is set to receive vibrations of the same Divine frequency. How is this done?

Desire.

If one's desires are earth-focused, the subtle radiations broadcast by the Spirit-Spark atom will be drowned out by the lower vibrations of our coarse desires. Conversely, it will not be able to detect or receive any of the finer Divine radiations that permeate the atmosphere around us, nearer than hands and feet.

In order to make it easier for the Rose of the Heart to hear The Call, we must purify the desire-life and the thought-life. We are the radio. Our desires turn the dial. Our actions reveal the station we are tuned in to.

The Divine radiations are always here. Although, like radio waves, these Divine vibrations are not seen, heard or felt, nevertheless they are still here, patiently waiting for us to tune in to the proper station and begin receiving.

Change the station. Turn the dial.

The Two-In-One

Once the candidate awakens the Divine Spark and gains insight into his/her true nature, a decision has to be made. Either return to the natural life that was being led or vow to walk the Path all the way to The Good End.

For those choosing to walk the Path of Return, there will be bumps along the way. No matter how diligent, dedicated or devoted one is, the aeons of this nature will continue to influence us via our natural blood-state. More than once we will fall into an old habit or express a behavior that goes against the Gnosis. Grief, frustration or remorse will follow. "Why can't I stay on the Path?" we will cry out?

We must understand that at the same time the purified New Soul is being built, we are still attached to the old, natural soul. Thankfully, we have heard The Call and have responded to it, but the nature-born part of us still feels the tug of the material world. We still respond to the impulses sent our way via our lipika, the auric being. We are as two-in-one, torn between the Divine Realm and this fallen world. We are attempting to leave what we know for that which we want to know better, but just as it is when we try to leave someone who is no good for us, we hang on, we drag our feet, we succumb to the easy path, the road of least resistance.

This struggle will continue until that which is New within us succeeds in asserting Itself. The only way this can happen is if we steadfastly persevere. Don't give up on yourself if you falter. Don't turn away from the Path over a failure due to a momentary weakness. The aeons of this nature know that they are about to lose you. Thus, they re-double their efforts, offering you everything you have ever desired in order to keep you trapped in this fallen world. Now you can perhaps understand the symbolism behind the story of Jesus' temptation in the desert. Jesus represents the soul-born man (that's us), trying to reach Liberation. Satan (the word means "adversary") represents the nature aeons, offering the Jesus-man everything he could possibly desire, if only he would bow down and worship the things of this world.

Don't fall for their tricks. Every time you fall, shake it off and get right back to business. Don't dwell in the past or the future. What's important is what you do in the now. Do not let your slip-ups become a burden or a stumbling block. Let them go.

For those who have awakened the Divine Spark within, your microcosm is undergoing a Great Renovation. As such, the old stands side-by-side with the New. The New Soul must increase in influence while the old soul decreases. A battle for dominance is being fought within your microcosm. Do not try to fight this battle with your "I". You will not succeed, as the "I" cannot and will not eliminate the "I". It is The Other One, rebirthed from out of the Original Atom, that will fight this battle for you. The most you can do is keep striving to live in the New Attitude of Life that you have adopted and stay out of the way when the inevitable inner conflicts arise. At some point, you may not even know when it happens, the nature aeons will lose interest in you. The desires of this world will recede from you. You will no longer slip. Your footing on the Path will be as sure as a mountain goat.

"...then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered unto Him". Matt. 4:11

Remain steadfast in your devotion. Keep your focus always upon the One Goal. Persevere through all trials until The Good End.

Of Plane Crashes And 'Bird Falls'

Unconscious Passengers Cause Jet To Be Diverted

A jetliner slammed into a remote mountainside in the French Alps after a mysterious and rapid 14,000-foot descent on Tuesday — killing all 150 people aboard.

Birds Fall From Sky

In the first story above, the pilot descended 7,000 feet in an emergency dive, attempting to find oxygen. The airline industry and powers-that-be immediately tried to lie away the fact that three people fell completely unconscious while many more experienced dizziness.

In the second story, the conveniently dead co-pilot dived 14,000 feet into a mountainside and has been blamed for committing suicide-by-plane. It is more than likely that he, too, was trying to find oxygen and fell unconscious before he could pull the plane out of the dive.

In the case of 'bird falls', there is no explanation available, so speculation abounds, masquerading as explanation.

These are all examples of the effects of the atmospheric revolution that is taking place in the 'clouds of heaven'. Something is going on in our atmosphere and has been for a while. The powers-that-be are besides themselves trying not to alarm the populace, as their number one fear is, as always, loss of control of the masses.

Under the influence of all these tensions, of all this agitation in the clouds of heaven, many things in this world are rushing to their end. A passion for destruction prevails in our atmosphere. Many symptoms of this are now forcing themselves upon human awareness; for example, the many tragic aircraft accidents which took place during the years 1946/47, and subsequently in shorter periods.

What occurred in the air during the periods mentioned above was beyond the scope of all technical perfection, flying safety, or skill of the personnel. It was simply a matter of higher influences, a sign of the atmospheric revolution.

After esoteric investigation, we accept it as fact that all these accidents were caused by flying through concentrations of inert gases, which are now found in our atmosphere in higher quantities than in the past. These gases*, because of their unique and little known intensity and power, cause pilots to experience periods of unconsciousness lasting one or two seconds, as well as very brief disturbances of the sensory functions. One pilot may be less susceptible than another as both their spiritual and biological conditions are of great importance in this respect, but it is certain that, had the above-mentioned atmospheric conditions continued, flying would have had to be discontinued indefinitely.

* We intentionally avoid mentioning any scientific details because experience has proved that, if we were to do so, the main point, the atmospheric revolution at its deepest essence, would be lost. 

Many inert gases, when vibrating in a highly electromagnetic atmosphere, have an enormous penetrative capacity so that even air-tight metal cabins do not form insuperable barriers for them.

Special attention should be given to inert gas A which, for many years, has been exerting increasing influence on the natural life of mankind. Under certain conditions, inert gas A causes moments of unconsciousness, of sensory abnormality, of a blunting of the senses. It brings about disturbances in the respiratory organs and is responsible for many cardiac disorders. 

As long as the plane maintains a steady cruising speed, the pilot will hardly notice his rapid and transient physical reactions to these inert gases, but under trying circumstances, such as fog or heavy winds, or when landing, they may be fatal, as experience has already shown.

One should not overlook the fact that metals and stones become "fatigued" much more quickly than was formerly the case. Present atmospheric concentrations have a strong oxidizing and disintegrating tendency. In our time, the ultra-violet and thus, disintegrating cosmic rays, in combination with concentrations of inert gases of the same polarity, will put an end to much that has always been regarded as ageless. They are also responsible for irregularities and deviations in engines and instruments.

All pilots are trained to immediately decrease their altitude whenever a problem with oxygen becomes apparent. This usually involves an emergency descent at high speed as the crew attempts to avoid passing out at the controls. Sometimes they make it, at other times, we get the stories above.

The airline industry will always cite human error in these cases, no matter what ridiculous story has to be contrived. They have no desire to inform the public of the existence of 'gas pockets' in the atmosphere that can instantly incapacitate an airline crew and its passengers while in flight. Air travel would come to a screeching halt.

These concentrations of inert gases are indications that radiations not-of-this-world have now infiltrated and penetrated this world. It is a sign of the atmospheric revolution that stands as a herald of the Coming Changes, which are, in fact, already taking place,

Truth

22 Truth is eternal and unchanging. The First Truth which was in the Beginning will endure until the End. Nothing can be added to it and nothing taken away. It may be viewed from many sides and appear different, but such differences are in the eye of the beholder. Truth itself is unalterable and cannot change.

23 Truth is not with man, nor of the Earth. It is with God alone, and when man sees Truth in its purity, he will see God.

24 Great Truths are the food of the Soul, and great Souls are the inheritors of Eternity.

25 Walk always towards Truth and though it will recede as you approach, for it is unattainable on Earth, nevertheless you are proceeding in the right direction.

26 Truth lies at the end of the Future. When all is ended, there is Truth.

The day will come when man can be told openly about his real nature and Destiny, and in that day his Spirit will respond and unfold Its glory like a Flower Bud opening to the Sun. In that day, he will accept that the change called 'death' is but the port of departure to a Greater Sphere of Activity. He will then understand what he really is and must become, to fulfill his Destiny.

A Sober, But Liberating Realization

The true Rosycross does not bring you occult science of any sort. Neither does it bring you "spiritual science", as occultism is sometimes called; nor does it present you with modern psychology. The Rosycross presents a science that has no connection whatsoever with dialectical nature. It speaks of a World and a Reality that cannot in any way be explained by this nature, and cannot take shape in it. Thus, it is quite impossible to make a connection with the science practiced by the Rosycross via any predisposition of this nature.

The World of which the Rosycross speaks is not at all hidden, and the Reality of which it testifies is not in the least supernatural! The World and the Reality of which the Spiritual School testifies lie entirely outside of dialectical nature, it is impossible for us to exercise or mysticize our way into this New World or the New Reality.

Within the framework of dialectical nature, occult science may well be useful and as such, the material talents you possibly possess in the way of spiritual vision and soul riches, may well be worthy of admiration, but your ordinary Christian disposition will nevertheless lead you only to the god of this world.

The Spiritual School of the Rosycross seeks to guide you to the right understanding of all this. The Spiritual School practices not occult science but the science of transfiguration, the science of rebirth. Dialectical human beings live in and belong to a nature that consists of two spheres. Between these two spheres there hangs a veil. That is why we speak of "this side" and "yonder side". Between the two spheres there is a chasm, a cleft and in-between stands death. As long as we dwell here, in the material sphere, the sphere on yonder side is hidden from us, as a result of our structural condition in the material sphere. By means of occult science one can obtain knowledge of this temporarily hidden side of nature and become accustomed to it, whilst still remaining in the material world. But the two main occult methods of

a. cultivation of the personality and,
b. splitting of the personality

will not give you any knowledge of the World of which the Rosycross testifies; nor will they give you any connection with it as regards your body, your soul or your consciousness, no matter how refined your organic structure may be.

So, since neither soul, consciousness, nor body, are capable of participating in The Other Realm, even if they have been subjected to the highest culture, it is clear that The Other Realm does not need to be hidden, and that is why it is not! Do you see the tragedy of the dialectical human being? To know of the Reality of a liberating World and a liberating state-of-being, and yet be unable to participate in it because one's consciousness, soul and body belong to another nature. Only one conclusion can be drawn. Occultism cannot help, so there is only one solution: the dissolution of the personality, as regards matter, the mortal soul and the I-consciousness. As the Gospel says: "Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God".

The Rosycross confronts you with a process of mortification, a process of dying of the threefold self that has its seat in your body, soul and consciousness. Naturally, this does not sound attractive to dialectical ears, but if you still seek the liberating Life and wish to participate in it, you will have to wade right through the pool of your nature-born state before you reach your Golgotha, for the foundation of your existence in this nature will have to be taken from you.

When we realize what the Universal Doctrine demands of those who would seek liberation from the earthly vale of tears, it can be quite disconcerting. We are being asked to participate in the extinguishing of our own personality, the "I" that we have come to know and love so well. How can we be asked to get rid of ourselves? What will replace us when our "I" is banished?

The dissolution of the "I" demands that our "I" cease to exist, or at the very least, cease to exert any significant influence over our waking lives beyond that biological minimum which is necessary to maintain the physical vehicle. We are asked to discourage all I-centered activity and to instead allow The Other One within us to grow in strength and influence ("He must increase while I must decrease").

The "I" must be evicted as the master of our microcosm, so that our reborn Soul can be purified and prepared as a proper dwelling place for a new master, the descending Spirit. With the restoration of the Spirit-Soul, the physical-etheric temple, the Body, will also undergo the necessary purifications. The divine Tri-Unity of Spirit, Soul and Body will then be re-born and ready, once again, to voluntarily perform God's Will via head, heart and hands.

We shall not "die". We...shall...live.

Do What Needs To Be Done

We have compared the microcosm with the macrocosm and found that man, too, is surrounded by a magnetic spirit-field, a radiation field, a firmament, and that the personality constitutes the microcosmic planet. So you will see that the key to the Path is present in your own soul-being and that you yourself are able to turn that key without any difficulty. That is why we have but one piece of advice to offer you: direct your entire being towards stimulating the Christ intermediary, which is there for you also, to activity within your system, so that the heavenly focal point* can develop again into a Christ-radiation field. This must receive the highest priority in everything you do.

This process of Liberation must start at the very foundation of your being, and it lies entirely in your own hands. Observe yourself closely. Are you really reflecting spontaneously on the things of the New Life? Is your heart directed towards the Christ radiation power? Are your deeds, without any forcing on your part, in conformity with the Life you are longing to enter?

In this way you will empty your three sanctuaries (head, heart, pelvis) of the old nature, thus opening up the Path and making the Brotherhood notice you. Then the focus of the New Life will be resurrected, and will draw the Universal Life-Substance vigorously into your microcosm so that It can carry out Its sanctifying, liberating task. Then, over the soul-garment, the Garment of the Universal Spirit will spread Itself, and out of this the microcosm will be able to live and act.

The pupil who has lived through his path of self-sacrifice in this way enters into the unity of the New Life. He experiences and comes to know the freedom of the children of God. He is linked with the pure, Universal Love. He is truly man and truly God.

If you have a knowledge of Christ, you will understand these words. May God grant that we may meet one another in the ranks of the Redeemed.

Remember that the Christ is not a personality that walked among men 2,000 years ago, but an impersonal, Divine light-radiation that is not-of-this-world, emanating from the Sixth Cosmic Domain. It is the Divine astral substance that we must attract into our microcosm in order to purify and rebuild our soul vehicles.

It is here with us, nearer than hands and feet. It surrounds us and penetrates us. But this Divine light-radiation will pass through us like a sieve unless we make the changes necessary to attract and assimilate It. The True Road To Immortality

MOR - TAL

1. subject to death; having a transitory life: all mortal creatures.

2. of or relating to human beings as subject to death; human: this mortal life.

3. belonging to this world.

Each of us are born into the nature-of-death with a mortal soul. This mortal soul is composed of five soul fluids:

the consciousness fluid
the serpent-fire
the hormonal secretions
the nerve fluid
the blood.

These five soul fluids interpenetrate and animate the four personality vehicles:

the physical body (dense body)
the etheric body or etheric double (vital body)
the astral body (emotional body)
the mental body (abode of the mind)

By definition, the mortal soul is subject to death. This means that there are no earthly methods that can be used by the mortal soul as a Stairway to Immortality. "Churchianity", refinement of the personality, occult methods of splitting the personality (astral flight, etc.), are all useless. Even human 'goodness' will not serve to bring one the prize of Immortality. Despite all of the above-mentioned dialectical methods that can be applied here on the horizontal plane, our mortal soul will still gradually dissolve into nothingness after we transition to the reflection-sphere. It will take a few hundred years of "after-life", but eventually nothing will be left of the person-that-was, the "I" that walked the earth.

Why is this? It is because in each life we are created as temporary image-bearers. In each life, we are created for the same specific Purpose. That Purpose being to somehow locate the Path to True Immortality, the Path of Return. This Path represents the only way to obtain Liberation from the nature-of-death via the transmutation of the mortal into the Immortal. The reason we have incarnated so many thousands of times is because we have failed in obtaining this objective many thousands of times.

Now we are here at the closing of this Age, the proverbial Time of the End. It was foretold that at this time the Truth would be delivered to the Four Corners of the earth, so that all men might have the opportunity to remember their Purpose. Even so, when offered, this Truth is still met with skepticism, disbelief, ridicule and derision. Only those with eyes to see and ears to hear understand that which is being offered to them. There is a spark of remembrance that vibrates from deep within, enabling them to recognize the Truth and to take steps to follow that Truth.

IM - MOR - TAL

1. not mortal; not liable or subject to death; undying: our immortal souls.

2. not liable to perish or decay; imperishable; everlasting.

3. perpetual; lasting; constant.

As outlined above, we do not presently have an immortal soul. We have only a mortal soul that will gradually disappear after death unless we take the proper steps in this earthly life to begin the process of transmutation and transfiguration. If we are successful in locating the Path of Return and in awakening the Divine Spark that sleeps within our microcosm, then when we "die" the physical body will lawfully return to the earth (like attracts like, "dust to dust"), while the remaining mortal soul vehicles are taken to a special realm, one that is not a part of the terrestrial reflection-sphere. This realm, Shamballa, is like a weigh-station or halfway house for the mortal souls of those personalities that have succeeded in beginning the process of Liberation while on earth.

Because the Candidate has identified the Purpose for his/her existence prior to death, because the mortal soul of the Candidate is actively engaged in the alchemical process of transmutation, he/she has awakened the Divine part that has slept within the microcosm for so many Ages of time. It is this awakened Divine part of the mortal soul that will save the Candidate, as that which is Divine cannot find a place in the un-divine, ordinary reflection-sphere. This is law.

Mark the following: even if we have taken but the first step in this process, even if we are on the lowest rung of the Transfiguristic process, our journey to Immortality is assured. Our destination after death will not involve the inevitable dissolution of the personality vehicles in the reflection-sphere. Instead, Shamballa, the realm of transfiguring souls established as a vacuum of Divinity within the earth-spheres will be our new home. There, we will continue this alchemical transmutation, in our present personality; incorruptible, indestructible, Immortal. There we shall remain, in safety and in brotherhood with all those who have gone before us, until the time comes for the Ark to depart, with all of the Elect on board.

Those who have ears to hear, let them hear.

From Yearning For Salvation To Self-Purification

The man in the liver-spleen system, in the solar plexus, is the stone-hard, I-central man who clings to matter and consequently expects everything from it. However, the moment will come, sometimes after many lives in the microcosm, that he reaches a dead-end in the nature-of-death and finds that his existence is a circle without end. However, as long as he lives out of the liver-spleen system and, consequently, in self-maintenance and I-centrality, pupilship in a Spiritual School is useless. A new desire, a yearning for true, essential liberation, which in the Holy Language is called yearning for salvation, then emanates from the astral self. Only this desire opens the heart of man for the Gnosis, for the light of the Holy Grail, the consequence being that the Rose is touched. Because of the yearning for salvation, the pupil will stand before the gate of an entirely new state of life.

Many millions of people are standing before this gate; throughout the ages people have been yearning for a true, liberating Life. The result is that these millions have also created an aeon, which the gnostic writings call the Thirteenth Aeon. Between this Thirteenth Aeon and yearning man an interaction came into being because of which the fire of desire became ever greater and the realization of the state of confusion increased.

Mere yearning for salvation is not sufficient; the astral self will continue to reside in the astral sphere of the nature-of-death during the nocturnal hours and will return from it the next morning robbed of its light-force in such a way that the disorder is greater than ever before. This is the reason for the ever-recurring penitential songs of the Pistis Sophia.

So we understand that, next to yearning for salvation, self-purification is also necessary. One who truly desires to be sanctified will try to do everything possible and even everything impossible to approach this sanctification. You will realize the logic of this. A vigorous self-activity should always prove that the fire of yearning for salvation is chastening. This self-activity will always emanate from the heart and will influence the entire state-of-life. That is why in the School of the Rosycross the necessary purification of the heart is always discussed.

You know of the dismal, negative cravings of those who keep crying for help and praying for assistance for anything and everything in the house of dialectics. However, man should understand that to reach true salvation he will have to sacrifice himself and his entire state-of-being. Next to yearning for salvation, the self-sanctification needs to develop.

Yearning alone is not enough. The Path of the True Way requires actions, one of the first being the purifying work that must be done to enable the Divine astral radiations to take root in the microcosm.

Candidates must never be satisfied just to yearn for Liberation or read about it or dream about it. The pupil must put his or her shoulder to the wheel and do the work that is required to enable this to take place. Yes, help is available to us via the Universal Brotherhood, but the candidate must also undertake to help himself or herself. Self-purification is our job. That's why it's called self-purification.

The Day God Died

Some years ago, this writer was sitting behind a woman in her 60's who happened to be a life-long catholic. It was the Friday before Easter, "Good Friday" as it is known. The conversation that she was having with another person was of little note until she said the following:

"It's Good Friday. That's the day God died!"

Needless to say, this writer was dumbstruck. It just served to highlight the wickedness of the so-called christian churches who eagerly spread their Doctrine of Error, whether knowingly or unknowingly, mis-educating millions of human beings and retarding spiritual progress world-wide. Selling their half-truths, flawed speculations and outright fabrications as "gospel". Distorting and mutilating the Holy Language until that which was left to inform and guide humanity to its salvation degrades into a bad fairy-tale. There is no measure of meaningful soul-growth that can occur by aligning one's self with any of the so-called orthodox christian churches.

Stay out of the churches.

Transformation

How is the human-being of this nature reborn as the Divine Heavenly Man? What is the mechanism behind this seeming "impossibility"? We will not go into details in this post. Instead, an allegorical micro-view will be presented for consideration.

A hen's egg represents the potential for an adult chicken. It is not the adult chicken. When the proper conditions are present (this usually involving heat radiation) the liquid substances within the egg undergo a transformation. The cells of the egg begin to differentiate and multiply, according to a plan, a blueprint, that governs this alchemical change. This blueprint is also a potential. It can only express itself when the proper conditions are present. When the hen provides incubation for the egg, over the course of a few days the egg will hatch and a chick will emerge. When the chick is born, not a drop of the old liquid substances remain. It has been transmuted*.

* to change from one nature, substance, form, or condition into another; transform.

The physical human-being represents the potential for a reborn Divine Heavenly Man. This potential, along with the blueprint for expressing it, lies enclosed within the nucleus of the microcosm, that which has always been known as the Divine Spark or Spirit-Spark Atom. This single, tiny atom of Divine matter contains within it all of the instructions needed to rebuild the True Man. If the right conditions are present, it will begin to initiate a change in the microcosm of the human-being; it cannot help but to do so.

This change is an alchemical one. It involves the purification on the astral and mental bodies as well as a re-generation of the etheric double, with sympathetic changes manifesting in the physical vehicle. The conditions necessary for starting this process are a concentration of certain divine radiations, which, when voluntarily attracted by the human-being, will serve to bring the sleeping Divine Spark to life, due to the vibrational resonance that exists between the Divine Spark and the Divine Christ radiations.

It will take more than a few days for such a transformation to be completed. It will take years, it could take several lifetimes. Much depends on the diligence and steadfastness of the candidate who has chosen to undergo this change. What is good to know is this: once one has begun the process of transmutation, the process cannot be stopped and it would not be wise to attempt to do so. For now, the candidate carries something of the Divine within his microcosm. Fundamental changes have begun to take place. To stop in mid-stream, as it were, in an effort to reverse the process, would result in serious ramifications.

Mark the following: you are not just a conglomeration of blood and bones, with a rational mental ability throw in for good measure. You are a temporary image-bearer of the Divine Man and, as such, you are at most a means to an end. The 'end' is the restoration of the Divine Heavenly Man that sleeps within your microcosm. The 'means' is the process of Transfiguration, a transformation which is obtained via a complete transmutation of the human personality vehicles.

If mankind truly understood the above, all earthly striving and conflict would cease immediately. Gratefully, someday in the not-too-distant future, this Knowledge will be restored to all of humanity, who will then have the information required to make a final, critical Choice.

The Meaning Of "Thy Will Be Done"

Most often, this phrase carries with it the undertone of surrender, but of a certain kind. It is a surrender that involves man accepting the struggles that comes his way, not by fighting against it, but by rationalizing that "This is what God wants. There's nothing I can do about the misery that befalls me. This is God's will".

What rubbish.

Again we see how far man has fallen in his understanding. Man's vision of the Truth has become distorted and in accordance with that, so has his thinking, willing, feeling and acting in this terrestrial life.

It is accurate to say that "Thy Will Be Done" is a reference to the surrender of the human will, but this surrender is not an act of resignation. The surrender is a voluntary one, where we voluntarily agree to put aside and ignore the personal desires of our I-being in order to manifest the Will of the Logos through concrete action.

In every human circumstance, our "I" thinks only of its personal comfort and safety. We view the world through an aura clouded by the selfishness of our I-being. This inwardly-turned focus acts as a barrier of sorts to our ability to know the Will of the Logos. Instead, we constantly think of "me, first" and will perform no act unless we can profit from it somehow, even if that act involves helping someone else.

In order to fulfill the true meaning of the phrase "Thy Will Be Done" we must first endeavor to truly know what "God's Will" really is. The Will of the Logos has nothing to do with the prosperity of the individual ("The Father is no respecter of persons" - The Christ). The Will of the All is that we love and help one another without restriction or prejudice. The Supreme Will is that we seek diligently the Path that leads to release from this temporary emergency-order and, if we are fortunate enough to locate the Path, to follow it unwaveringly until we are re-united with The All. In order to carry out this Will, we must allow our own selfish, I-focused will to die. This is something that historically, we have been stubbornly reluctant to do. As such, for ages of time, we have stood in our own way, and blocked our own path to Liberation.

So, "Thy Will Be Done" is not a resignation, but an affirmation. it is a volunteering of one's self to become a vehicle for the Will of the Logos. Not in a negative sense, like a helpless puppet or marionette, but in a positive sense, where we consciously, voluntarily and with proper insight, go forth into the world of men and allow the Logos to manifest Itself to creation through the heads, hearts and hands of his creatures.

The Prodigals

Those of mankind whose microcosms carry a Divine-Spark, a sleeping Rosebud represent the Prodigal Ones. Contrary to conventional belief, we were not placed on earth to gather "experience" and then, after one or thousands of lives, parlay that experience into some sort of "initiation" that will convert us from human-being to angel. All of that is a subtle distortion of the true situation.

Those who carry the Spark within were, in a time long-ago, already Divine Beings equipped with tremendous powers of Wisdom and Creativity. These Divine powers were used solely in the application and furtherance of plans of the Logos - the Divine Plan of Evolution. We had access to these powers because we were linked with the Logos, via Spirit. God's Will was our will! The All created Its works via the hands of Its creations!

But while working in a lower realm, a cosmic "laboratory", the etheric realm of the 7th Cosmic Domain, we encountered something that we had been warned about. The pull of Duality. The symbolic Tree of Good and Evil (not "Good or Evil, "Good and Evil", the two are linked. That is duality). The magnetic interplay of opposites that characterizes the etheric-physical realm. This magnetic attraction is what allowed us, as Divine Beings, to create within this lower realm, but we were to maintain a distance from those things that were being created.

Unfortunately, a portion of these Divine Beings did not heed this Warning. Whether via curiosity, insolence, arrogance, self-regard or self-indulgence, the net effect was that the microcosms of these Beings "fell" into the creation that they were working in and lost their God-given powers in the bargain. The link with Spirit was severed. We were estranged from God and have remained so for many millions of years.

Thus, we were stranded in the cosmic laboratory. We could not return to the Divine Kingdom (the 6th Cosmic Domain) for our microcosms had too greatly degenerated. We were microcosms without a home, steadily crystallizing into Matter and in danger of being permanently lost to Oblivion.

With great Mercy, The All commanded that a New Lower Realm be created for these "fallen" microcosms. A temporary, emergency-order of existence that would be in harmony with their new lower status. That realm is what we know as the Physical Universe. This includes not just the planet Earth, but every planet, solar system and galaxy in the 7th Cosmic Domain. All of what we see when we look up at the sky is fallen - neither divine, nor of the super-nature. There are countless beings on countless other planets laboring under the same delusions as we are.

This was the genesis of the plan to save the Prodigal Ones. The Divine Plan of Salvation. Because we, as microcosms, have forgotten the Way Home, Sent Ones are periodically inserted into our fallen realm to help show us the way. That "way' is what is known as The Path of Return. When properly taught and followed, it is the quickest, safest and most effective way for a microcosm to escape the 7th.

The "experience" that humans slowly gain in this lower realm all boils down to this:

- in duality, nothing is lasting. Everything eventually turns into its opposite
- there is no true happiness in the physical universe
- mankind's spiritual and social leadership is corrupt
- the souls of mankind are longing for Something but do not know what it is
- humans want to "go to heaven" but do not know where it is or how to get there
- no Truth can be found on Earth

All of this "experience" is designed to push humanity to a breaking-point, a Borderland. Life after life, humans take up the struggle anew, looking to obtain a "happiness" that does not exist, with predictable results. The "experience" gained is retained in the lipika of the microcosm and used to create a new personality with perhaps the right combination of attributes that will allow it to fight through the Haze of Delusion and begin to Seek the Path of the True Way.

After many ages of failure, you as a personality represent your microcosm's greatest chance of accomplishing the Return. Why can that be said? The fact that you show any interest at all in the Gnosis is proof-positive that you have reached the Borderland, that you want out, that you are through with the glamour of the Earth and wish to dissolve as a personality and liberate the Other One within.

This is a glorious start. You have located The Path. But the pull of Duality is still strong, so attention must be paid. You will be hounded and tempted every step of the way. The Jailer will not relinquish its Prisoner easily. But no matter what happens, continue to strive, continue to persevere! For a Rope has been let down from the Divine Kingdom with the intent of raising up as many as can hold onto it. The Rope will be lowered and hoisted continuously until the very Last Day, until the end of this Age.

We, as microcosms, have come very, very far. As a group, as a brotherhood, we are now this-close to successfully returning Home. With open arms, the Kingdom awaits its Prodigals. It is for this Coming Reunion alone that we live.

"Immerse yourselves in this Mixing Vessel, you souls who can; you who believe and trust that you will ascend to Him who sent down this Vessel; you who know for what purpose you were created".

"To Die In Christ"

"Now if we have died with Christ..." (Rom. 6:8);

"If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world..." (Col. 2:20);

"For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God" (Col. 3:3);

"But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words."

What does it mean "to die in Christ"?

To understand this phrase one must acknowledge that Christ was not the last name of a man who walked the earth 2,000 years ago and is now wickedly and erroneously worshipped as a "god". The word "Christ" comes from the Greek "Kristos" which comes from the ancient Sumerian word "Kiristi". All of these words have "anointing" at the root of their definitions and all of them pre-date the time of Jesus. To anoint is to apply an ointment, an unguent or a salve. The purpose of an ointment is to serve as a balm, a healer, a rejuvenator, a restorative.

"The Christ" is not a man but a mighty cosmic radiation from a cosmic domain (the 6th) above and outside of the 7th cosmic domain in which we now experience. When this Divine radiation makes contact with the microcosmic heart-principle of a human being who voluntarily calls for and accepts It, an anointing takes place and a healing of the microcosm begins. We call this heart-principle, the Rosebud or Divine Spark. As a result of this contact, the candidate is once again connected with the Gnosis, the Living Knowledge of God. The way is prepared for him or her to follow the Path of Return. The candidate "dies" as to the things of the material world and proceeds to live out of the Christ vibration. He or she has "died in Christ".

If such a one were to physically die while actively and sincerely walking the Path of Liberation, that one is also said to have "died in Christ". This because he or she has transitioned while still linked with the Gnosis, the Christ radiation. After physical death, such a soul does not travel to the reflection-sphere for gradual dissolution, but is taken up into Shamballa, a vacuum of pure ethers that exists to provide a haven for those candidates who pass on while undergoing the process of Transfiguration. In Shamballa, the transmutation and building of the New Soul continues without obstruction, until the candidate ultimately reaches the Goal - reunification with Spirit and the restoration of the divine Spirit-Soul-Body tri-unity.

The verse above from 1 Thessalonians has always been horribly misunderstood. The Adversary - the orthodox church - has made no effort to correct the error in interpretation. As it is read today, the verse implies that on The Last Day, skeleton bones and rotting flesh will break out of their graves and return to life and walk amongst mankind, a horrific distortion of the Truth and one that has inspired scorn and mocking for centuries.

The resurrection of the flesh is not what is implied or meant by this verse. Remember that "flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God". It is the "resurrection" of the residents of Shamballa that this verse is referring to. Those who have died while engaged in walking the Path. They will be taken up and moved to one of the Father's "many mansions" before any candidates who are in the flesh. The reason is simple: they are already in the purified etheric realm that is in harmony with the vibration of the Divine Kingdom, the 6th Cosmic Domain. The Christ radiations will sweep through the etheric realms first before making its final stop in the physical realm.

Yes, the "dead in Christ" shall rise first, preceding all those who are still in the flesh. If you have understood any of the foregoing, perhaps you will have gained some small insight, some slight understanding of how important it is for us to begin the process of Transfiguration while we are in the flesh, here on earth. By doing so, our so-called deaths will not be in vain, as we will continue this glorious transformative process "on the other side". Not in the unholy reflection-sphere, where fraud and illusion reign, but in the purified and pristine realm of Shamballa, the interim Realm of Peace that awaits all those who, having heard The Call while in the nature-of-death, follow that Call beyond so-called death into the New Life Field.

Escape From The Borderland

So it is true that everyone who passes through the nadir must drain the Cup of Bitterness to the last drop? No, not at all. What happens is entirely up to you. You only need to experience bitterness, misery and sorrow until you have attained insight and inner certainty from that experience, gained amid the interplay of opposites.

You will never be done with the interplay of changes. It has no beginning and no end. In keeping with natural laws, dialectics (duality) constitutes the deepest depth to which one can go. And you find yourself in the Borderland. But you do not need to go through it. You must rise out of it! In that, perhaps, lies your mistake: you want to break through the boundary of the depths. But you should rise above it. You can leave this borderland at any time, and make the journey upwards. Indeed, many people are raising themselves out of the depths with every moment that passes, but then they fall back down again with a thud. Until at last, in the end, sufficient understanding has been born as a result of experience and conflict. And if there is understanding, genuine understanding, then there will also be sufficient strength to make the upward journey successful.

That is why profound insight must first be born. And that is why the Bible says: 'My people are lost for lack of knowledge'. This does not mean intellectual knowledge, No, it concerns the knowledge of Experience, purified by Conflict. And when a person has reached this point via the Path of Bitterness, he will begin to understand these words of Hermes:

Worship these words, my son, and revere them: there is only one religion, one way to serve and worship God, namely by not being evil.

This means that we must say farewell to dialectics (duality). You must close your account with this world and leave the borderland. You must raise yourself up and liberate yourself, in an absolute sense, from all conflict in evil.

That is the meaning of the temptation in the desert. The powers of the borderland offer the candidate everything. If he cannot resist the tempter, he will become entangled in the web. Anyone who has truly awakened to insight will detach himself from all this. You will be able to do this as soon as you possess sufficient inner understanding, as soon as you know the direction in which you have to go, and that you must disengage yourself from the interplay of opposites. If you are aware of all this, you should not be content to simply know it. You must act straightaway and by gnostic science, disengage yourself firmly, directly, and absolutely:

'Today, if you hear the voice, the voice of Inner knowledge, do not harden your heart, but allow yourself to be guided into the New Land'.

Swing The Axe!

Often we discover in a pupil stone-hard, incorrect traits of character, whereas in other respects he is such a good pupil. That is because he spares himself. Because he simply accepts those undesirable, hindering qualities. Because he perhaps thinks them pleasant or finds them necessary.

Now we tell you: swing the axe into your own life without mercy and keep your criticism of others to yourself! Do not think or talk of somebody else any longer but control yourself continuously and unscrupulously. That is your task. Then you go your Path of the Rosycross up to the Hill of Golgotha. There the Path ends, with the perishing of the old natural consciousness and a resurrection on the Third Day.

Many obstacles are strewn about the Path of Return, but one of the greatest stumbling blocks is ourselves. We sometimes forget that this Process is a 24-hour task, an unceasing work. The aeons of this nature are constantly probing, searching for our weak spots and working to activate the natural tendencies that lie embedded within the lipika of our I-being. We can be doing so well and then, just like that, we will respond to the probing and off the rails we go. The Road is hard, hard, hard and not for the faint of heart.

"But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and it makes me a captive to the law of sin which is in my members" Romans 7:23

We are our own worst enemy because we tend to allow certain of our negative behaviors to continuously manifest themselves without ever getting to the root of the issue. Why do I keep responding to certain stimuli? Why is my reaction crafted in such-and-such a way? What must I do to eradicate this behavior once and for all? These are tough questions, which many are hesitant to ask and even more reluctant to answer.

But ask and answer we must. If we wish to offer any assistance at all to this Process, we should first start with being brutally honest about our faults and then being fiercely diligent about trying to eliminate them. Start at the root! Swing the axe again and again and again! We should not concern ourselves with our brother's faults, but work with laser-like focus to eradicate our own.

"For if you live after the flesh you will die, but if you, through the Spirit, subdue the deeds of the body, you will live" Romans 8:13

Liberation

26 Know that Life is unimportant unless properly lived. A noble death is better than a wasted life. He who exchanges a life of wickedness for a worthy death makes amends, and the scales are adjusted. Accordingly, let your aim be to live as long as you should and not as long as you can.

29 The span of man's life is neither long nor short but sufficient for its purpose. Whatever benefits a man wishes to attain for his soul may be attained in his lifetime. A lifetime is sufficient to fashion the soul to Ultimate Glory or ultimate horror.

30 What end would a longer life serve? To the wicked an opportunity for more evil, to the selfish more time to hurt others and to the miserly ones more time to lay up worthless things. The slothful ones would rejoice, for there would be more time for their idleness but the burden of the industrious ones would be that much greater.

31 The good may say, "Why, then, should not our lives be lengthened and years added unto us?". Know they not the goodness of the labor done in their lifetime shall have been sufficient and no more is required of them here? If they have served well on Earth, they are candidates for higher service in the Regions of Light, for the opportunity for service ceases not at death.

 32 To what end would you live longer, to do the things you have not done or repeat the things you have already done? What you have been unable to do will be done by others, and does not man experience repetitious pleasures with decreasing enjoyment? Would you increase your knowledge or develop your skill? Who, then, shall teach you more than is to be learned on Earth, or where on Earth can practice carry you beyond perfection? He who would go further must go to a higher place of instruction. The works done on Earth pass away and the fruits of man's labor are reaped elsewhere.

33 Each man's life should leave its impress on Earth, and each man should depart a better man for having lived. Repine not for lost opportunities, for opportunity does not perish at death. Do your best here and you will do better Elsewhere. Be wise here and you will be wise in Another Place.

34 Earthly success is not the measure of a man's achievement, for a gain here may mean a loss elsewhere. An earthly loss may mean a spiritual gain. The Scales are always just.

35 When in old age you say, "Alas that life is short!", then consider the way you abused and wasted it in your youth, is not your reward fitting? Remember that the paths to pleasant old age are chosen in youth. They are the paths of Simplicity, Moderation, Cleanliness and Virtue.

36 Consider the ruthlessness of rulers, the greed of the rich and the willfulness of the powerful. If these dare to enslave the Earth and wreak misery upon the people, knowing they can enjoy the fruits of their oppression but a brief span of years, what would they not set out to achieve were their span of life doubled or were they immortal?

37 Therefore, the Great God in His wisdom has ordained the proper span of man's life. If, then, you think life is short, why dissipate it so and why waste the precious days? Is it not economy that makes a man rich, and not abundance?

Life

10 Travel the road of life according to your abilities and your foot will find its appointed place. Take time and consider every action. He who journeys leisurely, journeys best, and the runner who hastens not unduly is he who reaches the goal.

12 Think not, with the weakling, that nothing is more precious, nor, with the hermit, that you should reject it. Think not too highly of it, nor consider it worthless. Love it not for itself or for what you can get out of it, but for what you can do with it.

13 Forget not that Life has but one purpose, one end and one objective, and that is the awakening of the souls of men. All things on Earth conform to that end. Earth without its perplexities and problems, its struggle and strife, its inequalities and injustices, would never develop the soul in a manner meet for its destiny. This is the answer to the Riddle of the Ages. If all were right with the Earth, there would be nothing for man to do, as it is there is sufficient to occupy him throughout his generations. When man himself is Perfect, its purpose will be fulfilled and Earth, too, will be Perfect.

14 Riches cannot buy Life, nor can gold purchase back wasted hours. Therefore, employ the future that you have left to your greatest benefit. Lament not that you were born or desire that Life should depart. Life has a purpose and meaning even for one as miserable as you, and the Law may not be set aside.

19 Life must be lived from the beginning to the end. Run the race easily, for the course is long and the runner who runs the race best is he who conserves his strength in the early laps.

20 Be not disturbed or overwhelmed when misfortune accompanies your passage along the way. Be not dispirited when the pace is hard, or faint before the obstacles. Accept the challenge of adversity with high spirits, for as the flame is to wax and the furnace to copper, so is Adversity to the soul.

21 Every sorrowful blow that falls upon the soul is a tempering stroke. The metal that suffers the fire of the furnace longest is the finest in quality.
